If we pay him off to leave, doesn't that set a precedent where other players might think to use staying as a bargaining chip to get some extra money? We've been trying to be more hard nosed with these things, so I'm not sure if it's a good idea. Call his bluff and he'll probably leave anyway by the end of the window.

I'll keep the champagne on ice until he has signed and is pictured holding the shirt. I though this turd was flushed to Chelsea last season but it would be great to see finally the back of him.

It's wild that his CV will have;

Dortmund, United, Chelsea & Juventus off it.

Based off 2 good seasons as a kid.

I don't get what him and his team are doing

That’s surprising and I don’t believe that range - I don’t think Sancho says no to a guaranteed 180-200k. The story at the time was that Chelsea offered him a base of around 100-120k with lots of incentives which, if reached, could get him to around the loan wage mark (180k or so). Not sure if Chelsea fans can confirm.

Him leaving would have ten times better than Mbeumo signing. I'd be delighted to never see this cnut ever again.
TBH this is how I feel too, rid of his wage, a bit of money coming in, would be amazing if it happened.

Never in a month of Sundays is that true. Palmer signed a contract extension after his superstar year and it only raised to around £130k a week.

80 to 100 is more like it, he wasn't even a starter when they offered him a contract.

The only way that makes sense is if he's got it wrong and the wage he received from us was 180-200k because we weren't in the Champions league and Chelsea were prepared to match what they were paying which I would guess was around half for 90-100k a week.

I'd say "you'll train with the U21s and our largest player will be tasked with tackling you aggressively in every training session until you leave". Or I'd offer to split the difference with him at £2m and never come back.

I think we just need to get this tied up now before Juventus lose interest. The later it gets into the window the less leverage we have and the more Sancho and prospective clubs have.

It’s both painful and sad to have to pay off this lazy, ungrateful boy of a man with £4-5m given the redundancies that have happened this year, but that’s modern football for you.

Put it into perspective, £20m net really isn’t bad considering how shit he was for us, how we’ve made it clear he isn’t going to play for us again, how average he then was for Chelsea, and the fact he only has 12 months on his contract left before he could leave for a free.

Get it done and sign off Mbuemo.

When you see the 17 year olds at wrexham in tears because they are not offered contracts, and then this guy wants 5 million quid for sitting at home and playing fifa, you realise just how scrwed up the football industry is.

The precedent we need to break is the one where we offer obscene contracts to players who have not kicked a ball for us.

Quite possibly the worst signing Utd have made post fergie.
I cant see anyone worse. Di Maria was a record signing, but had value when we sold him. Even Antony actually stuck around and played for us, as bad as he could be.

Yeah it's not true - Chelsea guaranteed comp is much lower these days, they have shit loads of clauses. Sancho got one of the last big contracts at United before we shifted to add ons, and tier 1's have reported he's on £300k a week pure salary. Dortmund and him played a blinder.

Please tell me that’s pre-UCL 25% reduction!? Yikes.

We need to qualify for the Champions League this season, we need to play Juventus in the group stage next season, we need to resign Ashley Young....

A bargain compared to how much hiring a plumber would cost just to get this piece of shit to flush.

I would honestly rather we get relegated than pay Jadon f*cking Sancho a penny more than he's legally owed. I honestly think it might be time to follow another sport, I'm almost done with what football has become. Between the leagues and fifa being purcahsed for softpower by the Middle East, the FA showing no qualms about teams cheating, United being utter tosh and player power being well..like Sancho...honestly it's almost not worth it.

Almost every other sport I enjoy (basketball, tennis, golf, American football) is objectively better to watch now than 15 years ago, football is largely worse. It's become more robotic and frankly dull.

Anyway, rant over, I hope Sancho enjoys his quasi-retirement this season.

Not sure what your interpretation of the situation is, but the 4-5m quoted is what Jadon is legally owed according to his contract. It’s just the difference between his current contract and what Juventus are willing to offer him.

No it is not.. He is only owed the full salary if he stays under contract with United. Once that contract is terminated by sale and he is signing with Juve it is up to him and them to agree on a salary over there…

That’s just not how the world or football works sorry. The club is the party wanting to break the contract, and Jadon has every right to request the remainder of his contract or at least % of it is paid out on termination of the contract. Jadon has more leverage and less to lose here unfortunately, and he’s the type of character to accept sitting in the reserves for a year so we can’t even threaten him with that. The only way out of this is his next club matches or improves his salary, or we pay him off.

I hate Jadon as much as the next Utd fan, but these are the consequences of the bad management through the Woodward-Murtough era. We even had to pay off Wan-Bissaka last summer. What I do agree with is we need to find a way out of this mess, as otherwise every player will copy and run their contract down to force us into submission/pay off.

Why would you? It doesn’t take much to upset him to the point he downs tools.
He didn't do that at Chelsea, he didn't do that at Dortmund and he didn't to that in City's youth. He not even really did that at United.

He never was the most disciplined and intrinsically driven guy, that's for sure, but he also never really refused to work. He is just an idiot who tried to stand his ground in a pointless discussion, and that only happened at United.

So I don't think clubs will worry about him downing tools.

Offer him reserves football or nothing. What an idiot
I don't believe him stinking up the club for another year on 200 odd k a week is helpful to anyone. Give him the money Chelsea gave us, sell him for 20/25 million and get rid of him. He's an absolute grifter.

Paying off Wan-Bissaka who generally was a good pro for us and honestly twice the player Sancho is, is not quite the same thing.

This is true.

I think when people step back and look what Sancho has actually done in terms of any disciplinary issues, they will see he hasn't had many.

The simple fact is that he play doesn't justify the money United paid him.

We all expected this right? Basically pay him the money we got from Chelsea for breaking the loan and ship him off for a fee.

I hope we take £5m less from Juventus than pay this cnut a penny more than we are shelling out already.

He is a rather sticky turd.

Hard to disagree with this. Who’s your NFL team out of interest? I’ve been following the drafting process more closely in the last few years and it’s something I’d love to see adopted in England

I find it hard to believe anyone will give us €25m euro for Sancho
€25mn is absolutely nothing and there's clubs that probably think they can get him back to his Dortmund level and so the upside is massive for a low transfer fee. His days of commanding mega wages are probably over too so should be relatively cheap package overall.

As much as I hate him, he is talented and I can totally see a scenario play out where the move to Juve fails, he's forced to drop levels for his next club to a mid-table club and he looks like a total maverick genius like an Eriksen at Brentford, CHO at Forest when all the play runs through him. Or else he's the next Delle Ali.

Bit off topic but its absolutely baffling how Chelsea are still managing to attract all this top talent. Like what do they offer bar very lengthy contracts which is only really good if you're dogshit and not planning on developing.

He is not stinking up anything as he is not part of the first team. Can train with the reserves or alone I dont care. Just tell him he is persona non grata
