Jadon Sancho | Romano: Juventus make enquiry

This must be hurting his ego.
I don't think he has a huge ego.
Surely he must see everyone else (well maybe not everyone at Utd) giving it 100% in training whilst he half arses it after being up until 0300 on the xbox and realise that he isn't suited to professional football full stop. If he can't see that he is not self aware in the slightest.
At this point I think he is milking whatever he can get and I would not be surprised in the least if he went to MLS/Saudi next on a free with a nice signing on bonus and essentially gave up on his career for £ notes.
Let him rot in the reserves for a year is what I would do, unless someone comes up with a sensible offer, which I don't think anyone with an IQ higher than their shoe size would do.

Crazy fee, bad attitude, not very good and now becoming impossible to sell because of the ridiculous wages and unwillingness to take a pay cut and play elsewhere. Has to to be up there with one of the worst transfers of all time.

He basically is because of that holy trifecta - huge fee/wages, shitty attitude and not good enough either.

Dortmund looking in the reduced isle again, cheap bstards. Can't stand them, probably want us paying majority of his wages on loan or for free. It wouldn't surprise me.
That's how most operations succeed, watching the pennies & finding deals. Buy Low & Sell High.

You honestly can't blame Dortmund for trying to get a deal.

Yeah and I imagine keeping him around is going to really stink up the training pitch for the players who are committed to the club.

These type of players need to be moved on at all costs. It’s a toxic environment for genuine hard working players.

He wont be training with them. Probably because we've loaned him out but even if he's stuck here he wont be training with the first team. I doubt anyone will be keen to emulate him at this point.

Don't know why you guys do this to yourselves. Just put yourself in the place of potential suitors. Why on earth would you be jumping in to do any business for Sancho now when you can wait until the end of the window, when United have their backs up against the wall, and lowball them for a player they can't shift?

Sancho is deadweight. Even interested parties will only be in for him at a reduced rate, and their take it or leave it will be genuine.

He is the type of player that will help you win the games you would have won anyway. No one is paying a decent wage for that.

Let him rot if he doesn't leave. I mean completely ostracise him. No training with first team or reserves. He can do what he wants, but he must report to training with u18s every Monday and Friday. If he doesn't, dock his wage by 50%. Lets see how long he lasts.

Longer than we will, the PFA would tear us a new one if we did that.

We should just let him rot for the rest of the season until his contact is up. We’re going to lose him on a free anyway, why let him go on loan while we pay most of his salary and let him put himself in a good position to get his next contract or the slim chance he helps out another club. Let him sit at home, play his video games and get fat and try to find a better contract than what Chelsea offered.

Do other nations have as many young prima donna flops or is it an English thing driven by the tabloid and fan hype

This players contract needs to be a lasting reminder to a bygone era of complete shambolic transfer negotiating by the Woodward/Arnold/Judge era.

Absolute joke what they gave him money wise.

Osimhen rejected 45M net salary a year from Saudi to play in Europe and yet he is still being labeled a mercenary.

Meanwhile, our Sancho refuse even to take paycut to play for the club he support for Chelsea. Chelsea also offered him longer term contract.

This is our worst player ever on and off the field. Freedom? You twat refused to leave and bad mouthing the club that pay your salary. Despicable character.

This. Doesn’t suit us one bit but I fully expect is the reality of the situation.

I think Graeme Bailley(?) not sure how reliable he is, has tweeted that Villa are interested and Sancho is open to the move

Not terribly reliable. Speaking of not reliable, the MEN were running with the idea we are going to trigger the +1 in Sancho's contract to try and send him on loan with an obligation to buy this summer, not sure where I have heard that one before.

Not reliable at all. Plus the Villa interest does not make sense as the last thing with their PSR issues is somebody wanting 250k to 300k a week.

They won't pay him 250-300k p/w. He rejected the Chelsea contract but who knows how much they offered and how much he wants?

Even on a free, no one's paying him 250k p/w.

Exactly. Probably not even Saudi. No club wants to be saddled with an unpredictable, potential waster on a big money contract.

Sancho has really damaged his brand, reputation and future earnings beyond this contract with his behaviour and application.

He wants to stay on United salary and play in an easier league. One of the worst ever players to put on a United jersey.

That would be terrible and unprofessional behaviour on our part. It's unsettling how quickly players are dehumanized. I wonder how you would feel if your boss would try to "punish" you at the workplace.

The equivalent would be moving to a junior role while still on senior pay. I expect most could live with that.

I would just move before it gets that bad!

I would just look for another job, it wouldn't be the end of the world for me.

Is that the message want to send to the current squad and future players? We give you a big fat contract and when we cant get rid of you are going to the u18.

He had his chance at 'freedom' with Chelsea but wouldnt accept lower wages.

He knows he is unwanted at United and i am sure he feels the same way but won't accept a pay cut. I would be more than happy if the club banished him until his contract ended since he clearly doesn't want to lower his wage demands and play for another club.
