Think they will stick to their guns on a loan deal and probably get it done. Just.

Don't see how we can pay 60m for him given his injury record.
Agree we won't pay for him (hopefully)

It's a new contract for Lingard
In fairness, it's quite funny that it seemed to be curtains for Lingard and he got Mino Raiola as his agent, only to find out no one was that arsed about him.

This is more about the thrill of the chase. If we do land him, don’t expect the same level out output he gives Dortmund.
Of course, but he'd still be a massive improvement on the right and he'd help a lot in breaking down teams that defend.

The funny thing is once tommorrow is done people are still not going to shut up about this and will bump the thread all the way to January. We had our shot and our owners let us down as per usual. Get a grip and stop dreaming.

Sancho isnt who we need at all, wide attackers is the absolute last place we need players. What we need is two new defenders (Maguire is absolute trash), and two central midfielders who will run the entire game (pogba is a lazy piece of garbage who should have never been purchased, absolute waste of money).
Tend to agree with you now. I’ve never rated Pogba since after 10 games so that’s an easy sell for me, and Maguire needs a better guy next to him too.

i also really liked Spurs Hoijberg today. He’s long been an FM legend and I knew he would eventually come good. By playing him as the enforcer, Jose has enough protection to allow his forwards to play.

the recruitment process at United is shambolic

Take the Sancho money to Brighton and bang it on the table for Dunk and White. He would be a great signing if we didn't have glaring holes in our team. You bring Sancho into this and he's going to get lost like he does for England. We need to build our spine.

Putting our budget for the next 2/3 widows all into Sancho is like starting to bake a cake with sprinkles.

Kind of agree now. 2 CBs, a proper DM that allows Bruno and VdB to play as 8s. Selling Pogba could fund that partially though.

We seem intent on giving Bailly & Tuanzebe proper chances in this team and DM looks to be way down our priority list too.

Yeah that's why we are where we are. Misdirection, misplaced priorities.

With regards to Ole’s interview, you have to remember Utd haven’t officially announced Telles or Cavani so Ole is most likely referring to them. They don’t base their official announcement just from social media.

Are people really expecting such a huge deal to be done and finalized on the last day of the market?

Was at a birthday party indoors with 30 other people including Abraham and Chillwell on Saturday per the Sun. Was captured singing at the party so doesn’t seem too ill.
Planting the seeds for a summer 2021 move back home to London after Frank bins CHO off to Bayern :(

Sancho will bench Pulisic once more

We know he wasn't I'll and is pissed off with Dortmund, but we didn't pay up, maybe Chelsea will...

Can only see a loan deal for Dembele along with confirmations of Cavani & Telles, yes I have seen the story about what happened with his private jet tonight but expect it to get sorted later today.

Wont happen this window. If it does, I’ll post a video of me drinking my own piss outside Woodward’s house gates. Then throwing him a bunch of 12 red roses.

Yep. Blowing £108m (or whatever the latest mind-boggling figure is) on Sancho would be a big mistake.

Just scan, for example, the Prem clubs who finished mid-table or lower last season (they all pretty much need money). If you actually have £108m to spend this window, then you could have had your pick of several good defenders and CMs. Now it's too late, but January is another chance.

The real problem with the Sancho deal isn't even whether he was the answer or not. It's the fact that it's yet another summer spent chasing a target all summer that we didn't get. How often do you see big clubs chase someone for so long and not get them, we do it all the time. The deal should have been shut down one way or another ages ago, either paying what they wanted or moving on and securing someone else, we did neither.

Also for all the talk of the defence being a shambles right now, and it is, at the end of the last season defensively we had pretty much the best record in the league. The whole team is a complete shambles right now, not just the defence. The front players are hardly lighting it up, and we haven't had a proper RW in years now.

And what reason to think they would do any better than what is already there exactly. Wan-Bissaka, Maguire, Shaw were all effectively plucked this way, and it's still a shambles, so no reason to think doing this would solve the issue at all.

Yep.
Additionally....if you take all the words he used in the interview, you will see that those words contained the letters D O R T M U N D.
I think that he gave us a message that Sancho is on his way. :D
Solskjær: “Well, we'll probably update you or we'll know by tomorrow night when the window'S closed, but that [today's performance] isn't about getting players in. This is About who's here and getting the best out of the oNes who are here and today was the worst that you Can get from tHese. I can't say anything Other thaN that.”

What is to say mid table and bottom half teams who finished way way below us last season have significantly better midfielders and centre backs than we do? Although you will obviously get the odd great player at these clubs, there is probably a reason they finished below us and it's because we have better players in most positions.

Some of them clearly do/did have some CMs and CBs who would have improved your team/squad. And it's ridiculous to point to where their team finished - you're signing a player, not a team.
