This will make me majorly unpopular but would swap him for Saul next summer, well that's if we even make champions league
Pogba on his day is the best midfielder in the world I think, just 'on his day' is 1 in around 50 performances.

I don't disagree with you on the Pogba front and I think Pogba is world class when he wants to be, having a workhorse who also is technically gifted would protect the defence and help the team going forward, I'd rather United win trophies than look good.

I don't think Bruno is as great as we think too constantly trying forward passes even when they aren't on, United are a step below of players like Havertz, KDB, Thiago in my opinion.

I’m still keeping blind faith that this will happen. But it absolutely seems like it’s Dembele now. I wouldn’t even be surprised if we panicked and bought Dembele rather than loan

I agree with every word.

Except instead of “looks” I’d have used “seems”. I think it helps the sentence flow better and it reads better.

Other than that, the rest I agree with.

So basically we’re Wayne from Wayne’s World hanging around Dortmund’s music shop and Sancho is the guitar. Except we never actually get to buy him.

I don’t know, I’m starting to think this deal isn’t happening this window.

"They're cross with Jadon Sancho with this situation going to Tammy Abraham's house, partying away. He hasn't played in 2 games, he hasn't trained. The sporting director was very angry" Gary Cotterill reveals Borussia Dortmund aren't happy with Jadon Sancho
Best to get rid then.

Wait do we want a player who kicks up a fuss and a troublemaker, might unbalance our perfect team harmony........... :houllier:

ER YEAH JUST GIVE IM TO US

Great rant, hope you feel some kind of relief after that ;)
Thing is, I totally accepted that the club I support is absolute shit footballwise - and I accepted it quite some time ago. I do identify myself with the club, obviously, but I don't feel any personal pride or depression when success or failure happens. After all, the club's achievements are not mine, which is why the failures aren't either. Considering these facts, I find it quite pathetic when fans of (formerly!) successful clubs look down on supporters of minor clubs. See, since I accepted my club's football is shit, I really don't care much about the results. It's all about fan culture for me at this point, which is totally fine. I'm no longer dependant on the club's football and my weekends are not miserable, even if my club loses 6-1 or 8-0. In other words: I don't need a shiny toy or the greatest players in the world. Ah and by the way, obviously it's SanchOFF day everyday for Schalke, but then again, so it is for Man Utd.

See the above, I really don't care about my team's results. I accepted that the club is badly run, has a shit team and the shittiest structure in the whole world. Thing is, I'd support Schalke in the Bundesliga or in the 4th division and since I personally can't change any of the problems of my club, I actively decided to not care about this part. It's simply not my business and involving myself emotionally too much won't do any good, neither for me nor for the club itself. Some things you just have to accept, I guess. And honestly, as I already said, it's absolutely awesome just living football without caring too much about the results - this way every weekend is much more enjoyable.

I think I explained my thought process here. Don't have to vent about anything, to be honest. If you would have actually read my posts, you would have seen that I didn't defend Dortmund. I was just displaying some realism in this thread regarding the obvious fact that Sancho won't join Man Utd this year.

Anyway, big day today!
A strong evidence that Bayern Munich totally brainwashed the football fans in Germany.

Even if he signs now with the way our season has started and the way we’ve conducted business over the summer it would wreak more of a desperation signing rather than a signing which shows we have ambitions to get back to winning the PL.

Not exactly the most professional attitude to have as a player for a team who are paying you an extortionate wage.
Yeah to be honest if that was a player of ours under contract I'd be fuming.

I'm all for him kicking up a fuss and requesting a transfer but that's not what this is, it's just a party attitude which makes his club look stupid.

This fan is a real football fan, representative of most football fans. Most fans's clubs don't have any chance of trophies, and I have always wondered why they keep supporting their clubs (other than the glory hunters who switch to the flavour of the decade club). In a way, it is the most mature way of dealing with life - no one's life has constant success and we must accept each other, warts and all.

United is becoming like that to me. The set of changes needed to make United a regular PL-winning club are seeming further away every day. VERY few individuals in the world have the money to buy United, and none of them seem to want to. Some institutional entities, like the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, are interested but they seem to be unacceptable to our society at this point. Even if there was legitimate interest, it is telling that City allow Silver Lake Partners to invest at a valuation of 4.5B but United has not allowed any outside investors to take a stake. So, the only conclusion is that United is too expensive to sell and we are stuck with these chintzy owners.

The Glazers have amazing chutzpah for balking at an extra 10-20m for Sancho when they have taken 1B pounds out of the club already. So, every day when I hear of some Glazer dividend withdrawal (completely legal in our society under a leveraged buyout), or stadium neglect or transfer window disappointment, I start to learn to support United just for being United.

Hope floats and, once players are bought, I can't help thinking that Cavani will regain lost glory (not sure he ever was any good, BTW), that Telles is the next Roberto Carlos or that Pellistri is the next coming of Messi. However, that is the same thinking that all fans at all clubs, even no-hoper clubs, have. It is beauty in the eye of the beholder and, most importantly, hope that can never be fully extinguished.

This is also the feeling that a parent has for their child - they try their best to ensure they will be happy knowing full well that sadness is part of the human condition. Parents are convinced their children are cute, no matter how ghastly looking to others, but that subjective gaze is what ensures a bond between parents and children. A similar bond exists between real fans and football clubs (this is why a club should never be a company with shareholders).

I hope the Sancho saga teaches us all that not getting him will make us learn to observe our expectations as they are dashed and learn to really, truly love United. The Glazers have only been around for 15 years and so if fandom really is a lifelong commitment, we will see the waxing and waning of our club's fortunes as owners come and go.

Failure is the best teacher in life and I am trying my best to learn from this.

Seems like a very poor attitude if true.

Then again we don't know all the details. If Dortmund gave him a verbal promise of some sort, then he is right to be pissed.
He is supposed to have a very bad attitude I think a few players and coaches have came out and said as much. Maybe it’s a blessing in disguise we don’t sign him.
