I still think there's one final twist in this tale yet. I'm getting a feeling that IF this Dembele link is real, were gonna fail in getting him to the club, he's not gonna want to leave Barcelona, especially having rejected moves already.

In turn this is going to cause Woody to panic and just offer Dortmund what they want in an attempt to get Sancho. Dortmund will likely accept and we'll be made to look the fools again, wasting so much time in an effort to lower the price, whilst ultimately paying what they wanted. Of course we'll spin it, saying we've got it in manageable installments etc, but we'll still have paid what they want.

I cant see us not getting anyone. I know we're inept, useless negotiators and will scrimp and save at every opportunity, but to get no one will be suicide, and we know that.

Fecking hilarious seeing our resident mouthpiece Cooper tell us he doesn't expect it'll happen and how sad we should be because big bad Covid has made it so hard to sign Sancho. Let's completely ignore the fact that they knew the price for about 3 months and refused to move their interest elsewhere, which has led to panic loan deals in the last few days of the window, eh, Coops? Let's ignore the fact that they will most likely still get that fat dividend pay out. Let's ignore the fact that summer isn't an isolated incident, but a common occurrence at this club, or how other clubs have still managed to significantly strengthen their teams despite the pandemic.

The club is going to have one hell of a PR job on their hands due to this absolute failure of a window, once again.

Really don’t know what’s going to happen next few days but I can’t see this happening. I’d take Telles and Traore at the moment.

I'm off work now until October 6th so i've been leaving my phone upstairs and not kept up with anything.

Less than 100 hours left. Is the Sancho deal on or off?

I feel that the next 97ish hours will be crucial in getting Sancho over the line :D

This is the one we've been waiting for boys. We're approaching the end and it's going to be glorious.

We are only taking about potentially our record signing and a total spend in the window approaching £180m!

Utd are losing £5m every home game they don’t play and we are all in the middle of a pandemic. Of course we need to be bloody careful with money.
So why chase players you clearly will not spend what the selling clubs want and just ruin the whole window haggling is my problem.

What I found hilarious about James Cooper interview today was he said there was an “ethical point of not spending £100m on a player when lower clubs are going out of business”. I mean wtf??

There are rich people and poor people. It doesn’t mean the rich people shouldn’t buy a lavish dinner because there are homeless people around the corner. What a load of nonsense to justify not spending  . Utd can’t stop spending just because smaller clubs are struggling.

If you wanna talk about ethics of spending, let’s talk about Arsenal letting go of 55 staff a few months ago and then still spending money in the transfer market. Or Spurs and Liverpool putting staff on furlough initially and then spending on a few players in the transfer market.

So the guy responsible for making him look a ledge on the gram is currently thrashing out a deal with Woody?
Listen mate. Don’t bring your sense filled crap over here. There isn’t any space for you clear thinking idiots. If we have some nonsense to work with, we are going to roll with it. So take your rational and well thought arguments elsewhere! You absolute reasonable man.

Why did Roma waste their entire window chasing Smalling, when they don't appear to be willing to pay the asking price? It's called negotiation.

I think the plan has always been Sancho or bust, which is why I think we will up our offer. We have backed ourselves to get the deal done. If we fail then its obviously a massive failure on the board for misjudging Dortmund's stance/resolve... Then we can all lament how awful Woodward is.

I know this has probably been mentioned a few times, but considering google are celebrating Ignatius Sancho, I wonder if this is the reason we've waited, so we can celebrate Jadon Sancho the day after

Ya, it seems clear to me they are trying to backtrack and find any excuse/s they can. They very clear have fecked up once again and are now just trying to save face by trying to justify it. I'm sure most of us are now wise enough to see through their rubbish though.

Apologies man i was just trying to be rational for a second. The photographer story checks out and makes perfect sense, i suspect he's his agent too and has been to OT this morning getting Sanchie a shirt from the megastore (socially distanced) before concluding the deal with Woody in his cushy London office.

Bet Fergie was pissed off that he never managed that
OGS is a trail blazer.

. First manager to score a winner after the final whistle
. First manager to make 5 simultaneous subs in a league game.

I think there might be another one around subs.

Fergie is definitely fuming!
