It depends. It could be that they have players in sight where they wanting to wait to see how they progress and buy them in one year. It could be that they got players in sight they would buy for a post-Sancho team but its only possible in one year cause of their contract or whatever, and so on.
There are a lot of factors you have to keep in mind. Next season Sancho has only one year left yeah, but it could be that the mentioned above option to only get 50 Mllion is also a favor of their plans cause they think more clubs are in for him looking for a bargain or are in another position or demand like now, Real, Barca, Liverpool, who knows. You also have to take into account that Götze and Schürrle and Toprak have left the club, leaving financial space cause at least Götze and Schürrle were players with high salarys. And that you got Reyna directly coming after Sancho, so that they could think "hey lets wait how Reyna steps up, so that we don't need to buy an exact replacement of Sancho cause we already got one, and therefor don't need sooo much money cause we only have to adapt this little screw here or there in the squad". I can't explain this through at this moment (cause of my aweful english and post restrictions) but i hope you get a glimpse of what i mean.

All i wanted to say is, that i wouldn't wonder if Zorc doesn't mind. They got plans for all scenarios, and just keep relaxed, having set a deadline (to stay in their plans, and yeah of course it can get a little bit later than that) and a sum, and if it doesn't happen then plan b comes in line. Now the ball is in Uniteds field, that is something a lot of people would agree on i guess.
I don’t think your plan B is worth it. Considering all the losses due to covid, which by the way, will continue to pile up as football is still being played behind closed doors until further notice. Even if fans are allowed back in, they won’t be at full capacity.

You also mentioned more teams coming after him next year, it still won’t spark a bidding war huge enough to offset the loss in revenue that you will face by keeping Sancho another year.

You simply seem to overlook the fact that, due to covid, all clubs will want a reserve of funds going into next season. Had covid not happened, I would fully agree that Dortmund can easily afford to keep him another year but I don’t believe that 1% now. Sancho was blessed by not getting seriously injured this season but that’s not a guarantee next year. It’s too big of a risk during this pandemic.

Zorc can have as many plans as he want but money rules the world my friend.

Paying over the odds is the operation-model of Woodward and the price of being lazy and don't got a plan whatsoever, only looking for the favor of the day. We bought Sancho for 8 Million Euros. According to some Redcafe-fake-news-propaganda some posters still believe, Sancho would join Bayern for free instead of coming to United, so i don't know how spitful this would be for you.
Ahh we have reached the stage where bitter fans of the club our target is coming from have started to meltdown in the transfer thread.

Is it me or are Dortmund fans becoming a bit precious? Is it the Haaland deal that makes them think they are so important or what? All this nonsense of artificial deadlines is so bizarre. They are at most Leicester level, they drive a hard bargain, but they sell, they are a selling club not some real power like Bayern.
 No they're not. But yeah their fans here at least like Leicesters get a bit much (aside from a few).

I wonder why City is not heavily linked with him. They have the money, and he certainly has a place on their team. Thus the don't need to rely heavily on Sterling.
Think it was a bad fallout between him, city and pep. I've read pep saying he doesn't want him because he already used to be at city reeks of someone who can't swallow his pride and admit they fkd up

The irony.

All you have done is post ad nauseam in lazy cliches about how incompetent super rich Ed Woodward and Manchester United are and how well drilled Dortmund and Zorg or whoever it is are.
Das ist Watzke und Zorc, German technikal expertise sporting director plan und structure Bundesliga tactical pressing hurrrr hurrrr.

Woodward rich English club clown Amerikan owner money money money Man Utd decline hurrrr hurrr hurrrrr.

Basically any German post on the Caf these days.

In the end the fee doesn't really matter to any of us, unless it means we can't sign other players. Therefore it should matter to us.

Dortmund are in a good negotiating position, and we have Ed 'not a penny less!'Woodward at the helm. If I were them I increase the fee everyday just to see if he can even notice.

Personally this reminds me a little bit of the summer when Ozil left Madrid. We had a gaping hole in our team, and there was a signing that ticked every box, who was available and a deal seemed straight forwards. Then we didn't do it.

I'm also baffled there aren't more on here with the twice bitten, thrice shy rule with attacking midfielders from Dortmund we sign, who had previously had amazing numbers in the Bundesliga.

I am confident Sancho will sign for United this summer but it will not be for 120 million Euros. No football club is paying that kind of money now. People are underestimating the impact of Covid on football. If Dortmund don't want any money they can keep Sancho until his contract expires, United will pick him for nothing. Dortmund must realise they can't have it on their own terms now. Covid has had a big say.

Kagawa needed time to adapt, he was looking good under Fergie then Moyes signed Mata.

Mikhi was bought ans used in the incorrect position.

Sancho will play in his position. Sancho has played with Rashford and the like before so they already know each other and have an understanding.

I don't know though. All they do is develop some young players and then give them to bigger and better clubs, a bit like our U23s. Sure there is money involved, but is that what their fans celebrate, a big fee received? Hope they develop Haaland well, a big club might need him in 2 years time to win some actual trophies. Bayern though, proper club that.

Quiet on the news front, coinciding with the likely scenario that we will only really bid an offer we know will be accepted. After the opening negotiations are complete I expect this to be completed very quickly

The similarities with Juventus fans right before the Pogba deal are uncanny

You mustn't have been around for the Mkhitaryan saga, Dortmund fans have always had a stick up their arse.

Now I'm as big a muppet as the rest of you mup-tards but the picture Rashford posted is a different photo from the alleged 'original that was cropped'.

Not denying Rashford's is cropped but maybe the original only had a slight bit of Barkley's hand in or something which is why he was cropped out.

Just a dramatisation Over Nothing.

Oh and by the way, read the first letter of each word in the previous sentence

Like Bruno Fernandes. Really overpaid for that one.

Good for you that you paid 8 million for Sancho. Now let him leave internship and join a truly big club where he can spend his best years.

Naturally!

Meanwhile Pulisic replicated Hazards form. He's got a Goal/Assist every 181.2mins. Scoring 10 and assisting 16 in 4,711 league mins.
They're very impressive stats all told.

Everybody seems to have missed or intentionally missed the fact that the reason why Rashford cropped Barkley out of the picture is so that Sancho's left arm in the first picture would be connected to the second one, his arm extends and rests on the shoulder of a nameless kid footballer.

Try to swipe left on his instagram post. It's an ART.

OK muppets, out of Fabrizio or Di Marzio. Who is more reliable?
Fabrizio.

If im not wrong Fabrizio used to work for Di Marzio but now Fabrizio tweets only when he has very good info. Di Marzio is awesome too but he tweets every info he gets.

Yeah, but come on, somewhere deep in your mind, you enjoyed it, didn't you?

10 days and counting. We should get some joy out of this until its over. Exciting. And thats what all the muppetry is about.
Mate can you please tell me about Sancho as a player and his qualities?
How he would fit into our fron three? Do you think he could play as 10 and what do you think is his ability and potential with regards to Mbappe and other young stars e.g Havertz

People are hounding Fabrizio as if he’s the one negotiating the deal. Mad

Im surprised clubs haven’t figured out a way to monetise people’s thirst for transfer news/scoops
That tweet to him is quite funny "give us some Sancho news now"

I hope they invite him to Ole's pre-match presser for LASK next week.

These things seem to happen a lot though where there's a 'deadline' - I feel like i've already lived it.

The target returns to training with his current club.

Mild muppet suicide.

United brief through their usual Journos that they never were intimidated by a deadline and are continuing negotiations

Mild muppet revival.

Nothing reliable happens for a long time.

Talk of a fee agreed / medical date from iffy sources. Quickly denied by selling club. Date passes with nothing happening.

Final 2 weeks of the transfer window, Woodward comes back with a tan from the Bahamas. Things start happening.
The Athletic have said they’ve got info that suggests the deadline isn’t a strict one so I’m back to not paying attention until something concrete happens.

As if they are going to reject 100mil on the table on the 11th. They would prefer it faster as do most clubs but it's not up to them. As long as the window is open it can happen.
Yeah the athletic have said this week that the deadline isn’t a strict one so don’t be surprised if the deal happens after it. They’re saying £60m upfront and the rest in add-ons, which will appease all parties involved.
