Or him basically trying to rape Pussy Galore in Goldfinger, with the comedy sound effects as he wrestles her to the floor to have his way with her.
He tricks Solitaire into popping her cherry too in Live and Let Die. Jane Seymour was stunning in that film. Up there with Barbara Bach.

The special effects when he rams that gas pill into the fat black bloke's mouth (whisper) and he explodes. Think we are still on Live and Let Die, which I do love tbf. Baron Samedi is cool (and not just from N64 Goldeneye memories).

The ending is the best, when Baron Samedi is on the train with his cartoonish smile.

Apparently Bond is going to have a live-in girlfriend and 'an outspoken gay friend' in the next book in a bid to 'modernise' him. Wonder if Horowitz can top 'Trigger Mortis' when he names it.

I sometimes worry that my first book is going to end up being a massive pile of shit that no one takes seriously. I sometimes worry that the narrative will be disjointed and won't feel natural or true to life in any way.

Then I relax and realise that someone can get paid for writing a book called Trigger fecking Mortis and manage to keep a straight face whilst promoting it.

The books are funny to read in the modern world, genius things in them like Bond being convinced that gays can't whistle.
:lol:Eh, really? Well now he'll have an 'outspoken' gay friend to set him straight, so to speak. Horowitz seemed appalled by the lesbian Octopussy being 'cured' by Bond too.

Just catching the end of SkyYawn on TV.

I think Craig would be fairly near the bottom of my list of favorite Bonds (if not, the bottom). Walks around with a stick up his arse and is just a generally charmless feckin troll. Doesn't help either that he considers the role beneath him and that comes across in his performances imo.

Shit film.

Am I the only one that thinks Craig always comes across as a bit of an obnoxious prick in his interviews?

He always seems to give the impression that he'd rather be anywhere else.

That and the following...

2nd week of October 2015 - "I'd rather slit my wrists then do another Bond. If I did, it would be about the money"
3rd week of October 2015 - "If I did it, it would never be about the money"

He's not Pierce let me tell you

If you read the full interview he's talking about how demanding it is filming the movies and how exhausting it is coming off the back of it, and the full answer was:

Can you imagine doing another Bond movie?
‘Now? I’d rather break this glass and slash my wrists. No, not at the moment. Not at all. That’s fine. I’m over it at the moment. We’re done. All I want to do is move on.’

You want to move on from Bond for good?
‘I haven’t given it any thought. For at least a year or two, I just don’t want to think about it. I don’t know what the next step is. I’ve no idea. Not because I’m trying to be cagey. Who the feck knows? At the moment, we’ve done it. I’m not in discussion with anybody about anything. If I did another Bond movie, it would only be for the money.’

Fair enough but, he still said it would never be about the money last week, thus still contradicting himself...

Regardless, it's kind of irrelevant don't you think? The character of Bond will always be bigger than the actor

Absolutely, I've just seen that quote thrown around a few times now saying he should be more grateful blah blah and its taken out of context.

If he doesn't do another then they've got a hell of a casting job to do.

I've not seen the second quote, where's that from?

Reckon you're right. Although, Tom Hardy would be very capable and I reckon he could add a touch of darkness to the character, which would give the character a bit of freshness.

He was on Graham Norton the other night and it was put to him. He said he'd never do a film and never has done a film just for the money

As long as Nolan never gets to direct that could be interesting actually.

That explains why I'd not heard it!

I think that just adds to my original point in that in the first interview he was just exaggerating to underline how difficult and demanding the role is, he's now had that quote hit every news outlet in the world and is having to explain that he didn't mean it.

Doubt Nolan would be let anywhere near Bond to be honest...Anytime a Bond film comes around, I always remember what Hoffman said about the character and can't help but think he's right.

Ah I reckon he just said the "slit my wrists" thing because that's how he'd actually felt at the moment. Just like the rest of us after we finish a hard shift at work, so you're right in the respect I think

Exactly, it's the 'now?' at the start that makes it clear to me.

You've just finished a grueling 8 months of physically demanding and exhausting filming, do you want to do it again right now? Hell no!

He said he'd love to play Bond as Bond has never been played right. He's a cold blooded assassin, who doesn't care about anyone. He's a womanizer. He doesn't like women and doesn't even like himself. He's complicated.

And I can see his point in a lot of ways

Sounds pretty accurate to me.

watching Sean Connery , who I think is the best Bond ever, in maybe the very worse Bond film ever.
Never Say Never Again, a remake of Thunderball.
Connery's hair piece is something to behold, how did it stay in place amd the female baddie, Fatima Blush, worse villain in a Bond film.

Rowan Atkinson is in that one, right?

Completely forgot about that. Just rewatched his scene on youtube - it feels more like a SNL sketch

Craig's movies are easily the worst of the bunch though
