Leicester have confirmed the signing of the highly rated Norwich midfielder on a five year contract for an undisclosed fee rumored to be of £22 million plus add-ons.

How do you feel about his potential ? Does he get in this Leicester team from the start ?

Maddison is an England U-21 international and will be one of the new faces to watch in the PL.

Hope we can use this thread to discuss his performances as he is a very good prospect

Very excited for Leicester next season, building a good side. Will be watching this lad a bit closer than the rest though, liked what I saw at him for Norwich, will be good if he can translate that into the Prem.

Very good player from a few matches I watched last season from the Championship because I wanted to see Ruben Neves, if he doesn't have physical problems I guess he is the sort of player Puel (if he has time) will develop.

Good player who I think will do well there. I live on the outskirts of Norwich and have seen him play a few times; and I've been impressed on each occasion. Suprised they loaned him out the season before last.

I fear for Norwich now. With Murphy, Pritchard and Howson all departing in recent windows, I can't see them getting back to the PL any time soon.

Was watching this lad's goals/assists compilation for Norwich last season earlier today. Reminded me of a prime David Beckham.

The link-up with Vardy will be glorious - Perhaps Mahrez will be convinced to sign a new contract ?

What type of midfielder is he?
The comparisons to Beckham (in style) are because he’s a right footed dead ball specialist and his look but he dribbles a lot more than Becks did. He holds on to the ball really well and doesn’t waste it very often. Could be a really interesting player if he can step up.

Any other Good British or Irish prospects that don’t play for the top 4? Anyone else we should be looking at? Fergie was always on the lookout for the best uk based talent and that approach served us pretty well with Rooney Bruce Rio Carrick Keane Irwin etc not so much with zaha (who looks a good player now for palace) and Powell... I think players who are from the UK and Ireland realise that United is the pinacle in the PL and take huge pride in playing for us unlike some of our recent imports

This signing really excited me, he is only 21 years old and he can develop himself.

Fabulous freekick. Had a good game against us too. Will be playing in a top6 club in 3 years.

yeah agreed, he's like Ward-Prowse who can dribble basically, LFC is great club for him to develop right now and the will get a lot of money for him in the future

Has to be in the next England squad

Leicester is a good development move for him. Playing week in week out rather than sitting on bench at top 6.

Leicester could easily finish 7-8th so not much difference.

Sort of move Grealish should make if he leaves us as he wouldn't be playing much for Spurs as he's been below par for us lately.

I know I'm biased but the wankfest over every millisecond Foden gets is so annoying when this lad is doing it week in week out, I don't mind Sancho being talked up as at least he's doing it for Dortmund

Were you a fan of his before he went to Leicester?

Maddison gets plenty of attention. Foden has the potential to be one of the best in the world, he's a once in a generation kind of talent.

Has he actually been great or is he perceived to be great because of how technical and silky he looks?

He’s been better than anyone who’d play in his position in the squad.

Maddison will be the end of Lingard as a England starter me thinks.

Good player. Bit of an arsehole from the accounts I've heard though.

When he was at Aberdeen, there were rumours he got a thump in a bar after losing a cup final and acting a prick about it.
