Makes you realise how big the club is that a youngster no one outside of Australia or those that follow u18 football being called up by his country is worthy of such exposure!

Just saw the highlights of the FA Youth Cup semi final - got put on the floor in extra time when tracking the Palace winger's dribbles in the box, but bounced back with an absolute gem of a pass to find Chido for the winner.

I wonder whether he'll make Australia's World Cup squad?

Mad how much Australian players have fallen off. The only Aussie player I can name off the top of my head is Mat Ryan, who was maybe a below average PL keeper for a bit at best.

I realise football has never been a sporting priority over there, but 20 years ago you must have had near a dozen players better than whoever your best player is now. Kewell, Viduka, Schwarzer, Cahill, Neill, Emerton, Popovic, Chipperfield, Bresciano, Aloisi, Lazaridis etc would all have been playing at a decent level somewhere.

Aussie here and I have to agree, while i know a few more its not the same as 20 years ago. Probably doesn't help us here that the A-League is locked away, mostly, on a different streaming service to the EPL. I hope we can do ok but i see a win less group stage coming our way.
