Huge shame they lost late on but it was a well taken goal from Scanlon. Lad keeps growing.
CentreDevils reporting high interest across Europe in Scanlon. Clubs from England, Belgium, France and Germany apparently interested with Lausanne-Sport also an option.
Hat-trick for the U21s today vs Sporting, with the entire current first team coaching team watching. That certainly won't hurt his chances of senior football either at United or out on loan this season.

Premier League International Cup. I think it's basically the PL organising an equivalent of the UEFA Youth Cup at U21 level (the UEFA Youth Cup is for U19).
16 English teams are in it along with 16 invited continental teams including Real Madrid, PSG, Juve, Dortmund etc.
It is a great hit, I have been a long time fan of his and I thought he should have been given more of a look this pre season, powerful and willing runner for a full 90 and can play a bit. International experience, regardless of who for is also a big plus for him.
I doubt any of the lads who played last night will be in first team training today a they'd have the day off, but hopefully a couple of them get invited later this week so Carrick can get a closer look at them.

Confirmed now. BBC saying there was interest across the EFL and Europe but Man Utd preferred an EFL loan, specifically to a team chasing promotion to give him the best chance to thrive. Scanlon himself chose Swindon as he felt their style of play would be best suited to his development. Hopefully a successful loan might lead to some pre-season games for Man Utd (under Carrick or whatever new manager comes in) and then either a Championship loan or a loan to a European top flight.
I'm a little puzzled by the choice to play at League Two level rather than at least a League One, given that he consistently puts in decent performances for the U21s and plays senior international football. Perhaps there were no appropriate suitors and Swindon offered him a leading role in their fight for promotion.
On paper Swindon looks a good choice. They're an attacking side and Ian Holloway is someone he can learn a lot from.
I hope he does really well.
On the bench tonight, understandable seeing as he's only been with them a day. But fingers crossed he gets some minutes in the second half, especially if they're comfortably ahead because Harrogate in their current state are probably the best team to make your senior club football debut against

Scored again today. Cayman Islands took a surprise lead in the opening minute through Christopher Reeves (not that one), Scanlon levelled in the 12th minute in a carbon copy of his first goal on Wednesday, with an assist from OFK Beograd's Tjay De Barr. Dylan Borge scored from a big deflection, Julian Valarino benefitted from a goalkeeping howler and De Barr got his own goal for a 4-1 win. Luca Scanlon again on as a sub.

Did very well for our under 18s for goals and end product, not quite as well stepping up to the u21s and I didnt really see him breaking through into the first team. Dont think he will at Arsenal either but they must think that after a year or two they can sell him for a decent fee.

Why has he gone to Arsenal. Just don't get it. Surely he needs to start playing.
As i said in the other thread, arsenal are quite threadbare on the left so maybe Scanlon sees an opportunity if there happens to be a couple of injuries to their first team wingers
