Mainly because he gets more space as Leicester usually sit deep. But he's a very decent finisher so credit where it's due.

He has a great record against us. We’ve been guilty of allowing him a lot of space to get in behind our CB’s.

Leicester have been counter attacking specialists and against the big sides they get to play that game to the max.
Still think he deserves so much credit for being as clinical as he is, it's not like it's counter-attacking galore ala Mourinho's Madrid, we're talking one or two moments in a very tight game and he takes them.

Amazes me how he's still that fast and efficient in counter attacking while being 30. He's faster than many players younger than him.

Definition of a game raiser. I do remember that Arsenal wanted him after they won the title but he rejected them.

He'd be the perfect striker for a counter attacking mourinho team that was on it.

We are nowhere near being on it right now though :(

His kyptonite is Bailly though. He can’t beat him for speed or physically so resorts to trying to wind him up.

We miss Bailly :(

Because Vardy thought he wouldn't be a great fit into their system.

Otherwise, he would've fecked off like Kanté after PL-winning season.

Ok, why doesn't other strikers from club outside "bix six" clubs scores as many as Vardy then?

Think it's more down to the fact that Vardy is a fantastic striker.

He has a great record against us. We’ve been guilty of allowing him a lot of space to get in behind our CB’s.
Allowing? Vardy's movement is the reason why he's able to get into goalscoring position at all.

I'd like Lukaku to emulate Vardy's finishing with his feet. They both go for power but Vardy gets his closer to the corners well away from the keeper

I still remember that goal a few weeks back, when he raced to receive the pass from Mahrez, who was by himself with the ball.
What I like about Vardy is not only his clinical finishing, but also his power, pace and passion. When he plays, you know that he is going to give everything.
Conversely, when Miki plays for us, we know that he will do the bare minimum and pose no attacking threat.

I wish some of our players could become game raisers.

HELLO
I wouldn’t call him a game raiser. The biggest thing he thrives on - a high line with space in behind - he gets against the big clubs. He’s basically the opposite of Lukaku.

His record is quite interesting. You could also look at him as having a bad record against the small clubs.

Last season he scored 13 goals in 33starts in the league

3 vs City
2 vs Liverpool
1 vs Liverpool
1 vs Swansea
1 vs West Ham
1 vs Stoke
1 vs Sunderland
1 vs Palace
1 vs WBA
1 vs Bournemouth

Have to hold my hands up.

Couldn't believe it when he first got called up to England after scoring 4 times in his first season in premier league.

Even during their title win I thought he'd be a one season wonder.

He's not just a consistent scorer in premier league, he also scored a fair few times in the CL.

Probably right in saying he thrives in Leicester's system, he'd have struggled to have had the same impact at Arsenal.

He’d be a great sub option imo.

Especially for Mourinho when he opts to park the bus, i.e. playing away v the top 6.

Hated for lookng like a chav and the casino incident but TBF to him hes a really good player who would do well in any team. ITs a bit harsh saying its just the way his team plays that benefits him.

I expected him to fade after the title win, but fair play to him for proving me wrong. Seems like a bogey player for the top sides.

Not surprised about Lukaku considering how bad he usually was against us.

This is the type of delusion our fans have.
Sub option?

He should and could be a starter option at United. He's better than anything we have.

His game is sort of underrated too. His pace is biggest strength but his touch and awareness is also good. Very dangerous player when playing against high line but don't think he will be same player when playing defensive sides.

What a shady stat.

Seeing that Aguero played 1300 less minutes in that period, and scored more goals against top 6, that ratio only means Vardy has been shit against non top 6 teams!

The reality is, and always was, that Vardy, Mahrez and Kante are title-level players and that the season they all combined to win Leicester the league wasn't a fluke.

Vardy always got an unfair run of it here, which had barely anything to do with his actual game and pretty much everything to do with how he looks, acts or has been away from the pitch.

Leicester's combination football is the equal of anyone in the league when they chain passes together, so it's not just about him being fast or them being a counter-attacking team.

His movement, tireless running, ability to spot weak links in a back line and his anticipation of unforced errors are top percentile amongst strikers in the PL.

I wouldn't be fooled by last season, either, as the representation of ability shown by Mahrez and Vardy was false as both of them were being disgraceful mutineers, which will obviously skew things.

Put Vardy in a top team with the ability to play him in on the runs he makes, and his numbers will actually go up. An Oezil, Pogba, Fabregas, De Bruyne, Silva etc. etc. who have the vision and the execution to put the ball in as the movement and run requires, would have a field day supplying a player like Vardy, who will always provide them with the best passing lanes .

Vardy mightn't be world class, but at the next level down, he's a more than adequate player and just because his name or his appearance do not sit well in the company of the elite strikers, it doesn't mean he's not equipped to do a great job.

The biggest issue is his age, as, even now, it's a wonder how at soon-to-be-31, he's got the engine he has, and the logical thing to believe is that at some point soon, he'll drop off a cliff in terms of pace, stamina and overall fitness. Some will say it's because he doesn't have the mileage on the body clock of a pro who has been top flight since their early 20's or before that, but I believe there's more to it than that. He's one of those rare freaks who is going to maintain into his mid-30's, I reckon, like a Henrik Larsson or Oliver Neuville.

If we can't get our hands on one of the true elite strikers, I'd not have a problem with Vardy at United, personally. He has a lot of what we lack, actually; he has the spirit and grit I would associate with any driven United player who was here during Fergie's tenure. His head never drops and he never bottles it when the pressure is on (as in hiding), if you could get some of that magic dust to rub off on some of the others we have here, we'd be better off for it.

Vardy, Mahrez and a proper ball-supplying player (an Oezil or Fekir) would do us better than spending obscene amounts on non-marquee players. Leicester being prepared to literally give us everything that makes them any kind of attacking threat, non-withstanding. Still, how much can a 31 year old and a player who wants out cost as a bundle? Even in today's market, it can't be that OTT, can it...?

He is better than all of our attackers.

But you're right he would struggle at United due to the way we play.
Your really think he is better than Lukaku? The same player who has scored more goals than vardy in all Season but the season Leicester one the league?

I do. For what he does off the ball. He gives opposition players alot to ponder. Lukakus 0ff the ball play has to develop.
