Yoro the jury is out, but when you see RM getting Huijsen for 50m, albeit a release clause, you see that Yoro was an overpay too.
Disagree with that part of your post mate, sorry but you are wrong. Keep in mind he has been the best defender during a difficult season, his first in the premier league - and as a teenager(!), playing in front of the dancing clown that is in goal. He has had a few dodgy moments but your man Virgil has had plenty and yet, he remains the lord of all CBs according to some...

“Done nothing of note since”, apart from winning Serie A, an Italian Cup, a Bundesliga and a Pokal.

Nothing compared to Branthwaite playing quite well for Everton.

Some ridiculous posts at times.

I mean one's played 29 appearances in the PL and the other like 70 something, so to my eye he's played long enough to prove to me the level of player he is. To me he's better than De Ligt already. At 22, of course he's a potential signing as well. De Ligt became a big name from his time at Ajax but has done nothing of note since.

Unlike De Ligt, he's got every attribute necessary for the PL, and already at a very high level.

What has De Ligt actually done apart from a good Ajax run in a good team, that's proven since in the main, that it was a sum of all parts. The only one that's doing things now is De Jong and even Barca have wanted rid a few times.

Maybe i'm not from the real world as you say :+1: However, i don't retract anything i've said.
Oh great, another Liverpool fan trolling. Just what the Caf needed.

De Ligt is not as good as Branthwaite, and will never be better especially in the Premier League.

Yoro the jury is out, but when you see RM getting Huijsen for 50m, albeit a release clause, you see that Yoro was an overpay too. Potentially 60m?

Branthwaite would be an upgrade on every single UTD defender in my opinion.

I do agree with him being pretty darn expensive though, but that's the market given he's English and i guess Everton are financially stronger than ever now with their new investment.

I think UTD did the right thing in pulling out when Everton ask for crazy money, like Palace/nufc with Guehi. They just are not worth it. Branthwaite>Guehi in my opinion but neither are 70m+.
The issue is while UTD did the right thing with Branthwaite they did the wrong things in the players they bough as alternatives in my book.
Tell us you know nothing about football without telling us you know nothing about football.

Maybe you should sign the guy instead of Guehi then

“Expensive but that’s the market” when we are not signing a player. Make memes when we do sign him and he fails to justify the investment. Rinse and repeat.
It’s just a daft post. Comparing Huijsen fee with Yoro (50v60m) to highlight an overpay yet acknowledges that Huijsen had a release clause

How so? If Huijsen is worth that much, Yoro is also.
Well, in my opinion Huijsen is the top CB talent around. But as mentioned further along by @TheReligion it's a clause which is true, but mainly my point was i think saying Branthwaite is a rip-off when happy with Yoro is a little pot-kettle.

Hey that's true and to be fair, he's a player coming from France and with a very big rep. I just find it interesting nobody else would go near the fee UTD would. Or maybe they got word his choice was UTD? Feels unlikely when one of the teams mentioned was Madrid, but it could be true.

Well, to be fair he's been part of a few winning sides that have been happy to see the back of him, fair enough.

Don't think that's a fair post to be honest, i've said, "I think UTD did the right thing in pulling out when Everton ask for crazy money, like Palace/nufc with Guehi."

I was just simply giving my view that i rate Branthwaite very highly, but i think UTD did the right thing not bowing to Everton's demands.

As of your complaints on the LFC fans joining Caf...i guess that's a issue you should take with the forum, i note on sign-up they are welcoming to all fans. I come here to give a view and no it's not all anti-utd. I like to chat about footie, whatever team it is. Right now it's Everton and MUFC...it's better to give your honest view than a blinkered one.

Again, i've said UTD did the right thing not buying him? Jeez.

Not at the prices, but if given a choice on the player, 100% i'd take Branthwaite.

I note some people have their "views" on my opinions- fair enough if you disagree. I mean this is a forum, and if i clicked on some of the above posters "activity" i know for a fact there's will be some very questionable views too. Nobody is an expert here.

After a shaky start, De Ligt was generally Juve's best defender (albeit not to the extent that they paid for). They sold him because he wanted to leave and was refusing to sign a new contract, and they had an offer to get most of their money back at a time they were in financial trouble. Bayern fans mostly agree he was their best defender as well, but they wanted to focus on having defenders with more pace and ball-playing.

De Ligt never reached the level that was expected of him when he was breaking through at Ajax, but to say he has done nothing of note is clearly overboard.

Huijsen is a good player. I'd much rather Yoro though. The former lacks pace. Yoro is a terrific talent. I'm not massive on Branthwaite. Decent player, but not someone I'm overly fussed about missing out on.

He had a nightmare game against us, but after that he got back into form and was one of the best young CBs in the league after Huijsen and Murillo. He was probably better than Zabarnyi who PSG seem to want to buy. Theres nothing fancy about him but hes an effective CB for clearing the ball out of the box

If we had a good enough squad and wanted to add some depth then fine but that's certainly not the case

Going to hit the lock on this one for now. Set to sign a new deal with us until 2030.
