Forest were completely insane giving him close to 200k. Thats something like what United would do
We didn’t give £200k or even close to that (for about the 8th time on this thread:rolleyes:) it’s approx £100k - £120k plus bonuses (probably none of which he’s achieved).

Not really mate Warrington isn't even greater Manchester never mind Manchester.

By that logic I suppose Johnny Evans, McTominay or any kid that joins Uniteds academy and moves to Manchester at 16 are Mancs too.

Or maybe we just accept that Jesse Lingard isn't from Manchester.
Warrington is 13 miles from OT, Orford where he is from and Cadishead which is Greater Manchester is 7.1 miles. It's pretty fecking near.

Yeh, in the first half of the season when teams were walking through us for fun. Pretty much all of our attackers had similar stats. Difficult to create or score if you spend most of the game defending in your own half. I’m not trying to say he’s been a success but there’s a narrative on here regarding Lingard that is BS.
You had him for one year, we had him for 10. Maybe, just maybe we have a better grasp of what he has to offer (which isn't enough to get a contract offer from the 16th best team in the league apparently)

Be interesting to see where he ends up and if his ego can process a reality check of his situation.

Maybe a moot point but do people actually realise that he was offered MORE money at West Ham than at Forest??

Forrest will be licking their lips that they only gave him a 1 year contract, seeing as he was shite and on 250k/week.

Perhaps you are right, but then maybe there are two Jesse Lingards, the one that is apparently the worst human being on the planet that played for United and the one at Forest that was a decent team player, was popular, turned up and supported the club whether not picked or injured and was a pleasure to have at the club.

If some had their way they'd have kept "local lad" and "useful squad player" who "is good off the ball" at United

Ashley young was miles better talent than Lingard. He was very good left winger during his Villa days, played at a level beyond Lingard's ability.

He was in PFA team of the year twice and also won PFA young player of the year. This was at the time when PL had attacking talents like Ronaldo, Rooney, Tevez, Berbatov, Torres, Drogba, RVP, Nasri, Fabregas, Gerrard, Modric (played as LW at times) and few others.
I agree. Young was a good PL winger that did himself a bit of harm by over staying at United, more United's fault then his. Lingard is miles off in terms of talent.

Mister beans has a miserable end to his play time because he looked at the money thinking he is a much better player then he really was.

Yeah we also had united fans making such ridiculous defensive arguments when he was still here. In the end they had to face reality when we booted him and now your club have done the same.

And forest paid this guy over 300k a week and he's only 21. Imagine what he's going to be on in a few years.

You're exaggerating the criticism. Half of them things are the most basic minimum standards of any professional. If all hes managing is being a decent team player these days then i understand you moving him on. Working hard, being atlethic and being a good team player were the only things going for him here. At 30+ the first two were never going to last.

Not near enough to even be in greater Manchester though. Warrington is about 16 miles from Anfield as well.

Surely someone will sign promising young attacker Lingard. His breakout season is sure to come soon.

Bring him back, still has something to offer and was a great servant. Always was respectful towards the fans and the club. He knows what it takes to play and dance for the badge.

Seems pretty reasonable, considering you're expected to pay high wages if you're not willing to commit to a long term deal.

Agree with this.

Two periods of good form in his entire career and he's managed to milk them for all they are worth.

About 3 months in the 17/18 season for us and his loan spell at West Ham. That's it basically.

I think he'll go to a club in the USA now.

Rooney would probably sign him for DC United. Wouldn't be getting anywhere near the type of wages he has been getting though so he probably wouldn't go

What happened to his JLingz clothing brand? The thing he seemed to care more about than actually playing football or moaning that he wasn't treated like a club legend simply for existing her for a long time? The only things (thingz) I can find for it are a website that just says "Coming Soon" and an old Facebook page and Eastside Co site that both call him "Manchester United and England player".

Eastside Co. were chosen by JLINGZ to revamp the clothing brand’s ecommerce store to make it clean, clear and easy for visitors to purchase.

As Jesse has a huge social media following, his Instagram feed was incorporated into the homepage to allow visitors to follow his posts and keep up to date with him, as well as the brand. It’s a great opportunity to promote the brand to his followers via competitions, and adds a personal touch to the site.

A clean and simple structure makes it easy to view and purchase products: clear photography and descriptions on product pages make it straightforward for customers to purchase.

Even the mouse pointer was designed to represent the famous JLINGZ celebration gesture, showing attention to detail and keeping everything on brand!
Had to laugh at the last part about the Eastside Co showing "attention to detail" whilst still saying he fecking plays for us.

Seems he’s shut the clothing line down and is moving into esports:

I see him playing for Stoke at best. Can't see any other prem sides taking a punt on him.

He'll probably sign up to eSports, like Rocket League and carry on being useless there.
