Jesse Lingardinho

Lingard’s post says nothing about terminating his contract.

He had a two year contract, he left after two years. His last match was also the club’s last match of the season. The same as any player’s contract that expires at the end of a season.
It's a reliable website mate ie BBC. It was mutually terminated

I've yet to understand how on earth he ended first in Korea and now in Brazil. Surely a low table EPL side/Championship team would sign him. Then there's the Serie A whose becoming a proper elephant grave for players there.

Either someone higher up is hurting his career or his agent is shit
By all accounts he had offers from PL & Championship. But he chose to go to Brazil for whatever reason

Did he? I confess I didn't keep tabs with him once he left the EPL. However I find his moves after that are very weird (South Korea and Brazil). Someone with his pedigree, talent and experience should find way better clubs especially in the Serie A were players with EPL experience who do not demand huge contracts are quite sought at. But I guess I'll let it go considering that people are more obsessed with me writing 1 year instead of 22 months then discussing the subject at hand.

Maybe he's not as dopey as he seems and has been smart with his money allowing him to do a world tour to wind down his career.

The Jlingz brand went tits up after piling around 1.6m in debt. World tours are great after a player's career is over. He's relatively young.

Maybe Lingard doesn't want to play serious football anymore (though in that case the Saudi league would still provide him with loads of cash) . But from my experience following football he either got a bad agent or he had built a bad rep at previous clubs which makes it difficult for him to find a good job elsewhere. I prefer to lean on the former though. I mean even Balotelli was able to find half decent clubs and he had a way worse reputation then Lingard

At the same age Balotelli was fannying about in Turkey and Switzerland for FC Sion and Adana Demirspor.

I think Lingard has had a decent career relative to his ability - winning things for United and playing for England - and now he just wants to play football while enjoying life.

It evidently isn’t reliable and has never provided reliable coverage of the K League.

The most reliable sources are Lingard and FC Seoul. Neither of which said anything about terminating his contract. Because they didn’t, it expired at the end of the season just like Casemiro’s is expiring this summer.

My mistake but it was mutually terminated as BBC claim and it was less then 2 years.
It was 2 years. Casemiro joined in August 2022 on a 4 year contract. You’ll be surprised to know that it expires at the end of the season, not August 2026.

Yeah but Balotelli is waaay worse then Lingard is. I mean we're talking of a guy who Mourinho uses as an example of a player being an idiot, a man who got beaten up by a teammate for threatening of playing badly in front of his teammates and who forced Totti to see red after taunting the living legend. Jesse is nowhere near of being an arse as Balotelli is.

Maybe you're right. However at his age and with his talent I see it as a waste. He could do far better then South Korea and Brazil

Respectfully, your experience doesn't have much relevance to Jesse Lingard's. None of us has any reason why he is playing in South Korea and now Brazil, but it does seem like you're choosing to view it through the harshest of lenses with no actual knowledge of his situation to back it up.

I am doing nothing mate. I find it strange how it ended that way. That's all.

Actually its more of a testament of how much I rate the guy. I think he's got the talent to do way better then playing in Brazil or South Korea

PS: One of the most rated footballer in the past 20-30 years suffered from not being liked by three of the best managers of the time. His career was going nowhere because of it and he ended playing with Brescia. Maybe you've heard about him ie Roberto Baggio

After leaving Korea, Lingard was confident about returning to England. However, he was rejected by seven European teams during the January transfer window. His former club West Ham United and other Premier League teams didn’t even give him a second look. Championship clubs Middlesbrough, Coventry City, and Ipswich Town also reportedly rejected him.

Lingard lowered his sights to Scottish giants Celtic and Rangers but was still turned down. Teams currently interested in him have gone as far down as the Brazilian Pro League. Lingard returned to England for family reasons. It would have been better for him to stay in Seoul rather than go to Brazil.

tbh I don't know how reliable chosun are

Lingard mutually terminated his contract with FC Seoul in December of last year.

The United Academy graduate had received a number of proposals after agreeing to a mutual contract termination with FC Seoul this January but chose Corinthians as his preferred destination.
