Used to love watching Saint and Greavsie back in the day. Hope he pulls through, but after his stroke it isn't looking too hopeful.

Goal scoring record is phenomenal. Number of goals and number of seasons he did it for.

Other than an unfortunately timed injury, we could now be replaying 'Jimmy Greaves (all-time England goalscorer) goals winning the 66 World Cup'.

This is so sad. One of the all time great goalscorers yet still feel he hasn't been given the credit he deserves. Hope he can pull through.

Jimmy Greaves was a goal machine scoring 44 in 57 @ 0.77 and unluckiest player missing out on the World Cup in 1966 to Geoff Hurst who only scored a hat trick !

Again the demon drink didn't help but what a true England legend - keep on fighting....
