As predicted , that start he had is starting to fizzle out…
Because he's being played out of position and without our most important creative player? Give it a rest mate, you're grasping at straws. You'll not find a single Chelsea supporter who's unhappy with Joao Pedro. As predicted , that start he had is starting to fizzle out…
Nope, this is what threads are for.Because he's being played out of position and without our most important creative player? Give it a rest mate, you're grasping at straws. You'll not find a single Chelsea supporter who's unhappy with Joao Pedro.

Ahahaha what on earth even is this?
He's 95th percentile in carries and carry distance. Right now he's having to act as both the Palmer and Delap replacement simultaneously whilst being not fully fit. There's no reason whatsoever to worry about him.Nope, this is what threads are for.
I’m going to keep pointing him out til I see fit, especially since “ theshedend “ decided to take my quotes from here.
I've noticed his dribbling so far isn't really effective as it once was in the past, he just doesn't generate enough shots on goal, never has never will,"sadly "..such player won't be enough for good old chelsea in the long run.
Why?I’ll keep saying it, Jackson is a better striker.
Wow, didn’t realise that, knew he was struggling but that’s shocking!Injury shouldn’t be an excuse , IF he was onside for that chance he passed across goal like he THOUGHT he was , “injury”doesn’t play a part.
0 shots on target from his last 5 Prem games.
Agreed with you but even then, 0 shots on target in his last 5 PL games is a crazy statHe's not a no9, everyone knows that. He's a great no10 or SS who is a great carrier of the ball. He will do well when he's played deeper for sure.
That he is not. He's not a no9, everyone knows that. He's a great no10 or SS who is a great carrier of the ball. He will do well when he's played deeper for sure.
He is quietly having decent season (8 goals and 3 assists so far in Premier League).
You were saying...?Can I say it now or…..
I let it go for a full month , he will be on the bench next season.
He is playing in form , let’s not act like he having a fantastic goal scoring season , 11 goals and 4 assist at this stage of the season isnt something to brag home about , gyokores is right behind him with 10 and 2, , his current record shows that he is patchy , so don’t get too gassed. You were saying...?
11 goals and 4 assists now this season, Chelsea would be up shit creek without him.
You're the one who's been arguing that he's terrible and will be benched, etc etc.He is playing in form , let’s not act like he having a fantastic goal scoring season , 11 goals and 4 assist at this stage of the season isnt something to brag home about , gyokores is right behind him with 10 and 2, , his current record shows that he is patchy , so don’t get too gassed.
I will say he is creating his own goals now which is good to see .
Calm down, “team of the season” he will not be.
And he will eventually be, he isn’t a natural goal scorer, his record over the years shows that. You're the one who's been arguing that he's terrible and will be benched, etc etc.
15 goal contributions in ~2200 minutes is a very good return, especially for someone who has played as a 10 for about 25% of his minutes.
Comparing him to Gyokeres is ridiculous since Pedro is miles clear in terms of all-around contribution while also being clear in end product.
He's 24. Saying that his record over the years defines him as a player is a fallacy. And he will eventually be, he isn’t a natural goal scorer, his record over the years shows that.
Stop breaking it down to minutes and where he has played , he is playing up top , he wasn’t playing as a traditional 10, so please don’t even start that , before this month his goal + assist contribution was 7 and 4 , he is patchy ,3 of his 4 assist came in august , again , he is patchy , go look at his October form , look at his premier league goalscoring streak and tell me where you see a “ very good return “, it’s patchy!
You can’t say someone is miles ahead when they are currently contributing the same. His current goal scoring and assist contribution is pretty much the same, is Pedro’s all round game better? Yes , is he the better finisher? hell no.
Since you want to break it down to numbers and minutes Gyokores has played less minutes and is 3 “ contributions” away.
To round it off the fact that you haven’t showed up in this thread since October tells me all I need to know .
He is in good form , I have no issue praising that but that is just it, good form .
What does his age have to do with it? He is more seasoned in the premier league than your last striker , Jackson who at this stage had 8and 2 in his first season without the European football ( extra games ) who was 22/23 at the time. He's 24. Saying that his record over the years defines him as a player is a fallacy.
Why should I stop breaking it down to minutes? You're the one who keeps prattling on about "he's patchy" as if there aren't legitimate reasons contributing to him being up and down outside of his quality as a player. Your argument is literally "he's bad because he's inconsistent" without considering that it might not be entirely his fault.
Also regarding finishing between him and Gyokeres, I don't know if it's as clear cut as you're implying. Joao Pedro in his age 19 season had a higher SoT% in his first PL season than Gyokeres has managed thus far this year aged 27. This year it's not even close between them in terms of clinical finishing.
What does age have to do with it??? You're acting like it's inconceivable that a 24 year old could possibly improve:What does his age have to do with it? He is more seasoned in the premier league than your last striker , Jackson who at this stage had 8and 2 in his first season without the European football ( extra games ) who was 22/23 at the time.
Your breaking down his minutes to make his contribution look better than what it is, at the end of the day he has gone 19 games without a goal or an assist so far out of 31 games played , that is patchy no matter how you look at it.
7 of his 15 goal and assist contributions came in August and this month alone.
I praised him a few days ago saying he’s in good form currently but that’s it, like what are we doing? We are acting like having 15 goal contributions in 3 competitions( 4 contributions being in this month alone )coming into February is very good , it’s not , no matter how you decide to dice it up.
Praise his form and keep it moving, we are not seeing a “ where would Chelsea be without Pedro “ moment.
He's averaging a goal or assist every ~147 minutes this year, playing in a chaotic and unsettled team that's missed its main creative outlet most of the season. That's very good by any measure; goals in August and January are just as valuable as goals any other month.he isn’t a natural goal scorer, his record over the years shows that.
14 league goals and 7 assists. Maybe he could start for Brazil too?
I think he's looked great everytime I've seen him for you. Even when he's not scored, his ability to hold the ball up and bring your team into play always impresses me.9 goals in 12 games under Rosenior.
I wasn't sure about him when we signed him, even earlier this season, but he's been an fecking fantastic signing.
