His fanbase have been begging Kanye to come on for years so they can laugh at the ramblibgs of a mentally ill man. Its kind of sick.

Proper meeting of the minds this. Like when Foucault debated Chomsky.

Yeah, I took no pleasure in listening to him. I just felt sorry for him. He's clearly mentally ill.

Rogan is past saving at this point. The man has turned into everything he hated.

My odd hypothetical measure of authenticity is how happy a content creator would be to spend time with a random selection of 10 of his fans.

That guy would HATE most of his fans.

The rambling interview with Kanye (a clearly unwell man who can be difficult to listen to even on his albums and who Rogan fans were clamouring for as a guest so they could laugh at him) was bad enough.

Now thanks to Rogan Spotify have once more provided a platform to the scumbag Alex Jones, a man they deplatformed back in 2018. Rogan tries to fact-check Jones, which with grim inevitability leads to Rogan saying vaccines gave kids in Africa Polio. Oh and we get to hear Jones spouting his predictable anti-Biden, pro-Trump conspiracy bullshit days before the election.

This fecking guy.

Rogan's new studio looks like the inside of a spaceship from a cheap sci-fi series. I feel like he's interviewing people in outer space.

I quite enjoyed the Kanye interview in a can't look away from a car-crash sort of way

I like listening to his space ones as he asks questions in a simple format I can understand. Besides that he's useless.

Does Rogan still bring up DMT, Ayahuasca and Gobekli Tepe in every podcast?

I like most of the science ones where he doesn't ruin it by talking too much

The one with W Keith Campbell the other week was great, he's a psychologist who specialises in narcissism and it was fascinating to listen to the guy talk

When Rogan drones on about psychedelics, even though I'm curious about that topic, his own perceptions and experiences just get in the way of a thoughtful discussion

How can he continue to have Alex Jones on after how he treated the parents of the Sandy Hook victims? This isn't a matter of hearing 'both sides' or anything like that. Jones is a piece of shit that should not be given air time by anyone.

He's had kidnappers and killers on before. Far worse people than Alex Jones have been on there and nobody really gave a shit.

Nope.

When given the polio vaccine, a weakened version of the virus builds up in the kids' guts. That then gets excreted. If there is poor sanitation and lack of general immunity in the area then the people who share the same facilities as the kids can get the virus. If the population is extremely under-immunized then the virus can continue for a long time, undergoing more genetic changes as it does so. Which can sometimes lead to a strain that causes paralysis. The kids who had previously been vaccinated then get this strain via community transmission, months after they were initially given the vaccine. They do not get it from the vaccine and it does not occur at all if a population is fully vaccinated. Something the WHO make clear.

In other words, the learning point from this story is that a lack of widespread dispersal of a vaccine can be dangerous. An important message at a time when we're all waiting on a vaccine for Covid. But exactly the opposite of the anti-vaxxer message Rogan and Jones put out with their "vaccines gave the children polio" bullshit.

I cant believe people are still giving Alex Jones a platform. Who cares who else he has had on, it still doesn't make it right.

I agree. When he has properly educated people on, its still a good show. Quasi-science and other shit that got tiresome a while back.

Charlemagne was the only one able to interview Kanye properly . He tried his best to talk sense into him years ago and everyone should have let Kanye be after that . He is clearly unwell and shouldn't be anywhere near the spotlight any more

I agree. He should be treated for what can be an extremely serious condition. Instead people are enabling him.

I love Alex Jones. He's funny and i'm not stupid enough to believe anything he says.
He has Glenn Greenwald on today who's interesting and a lot less objectionable. Its an easier recommendation for the caf

He's a lunatic but I find him entertaining. I can see why people have no time for him though with all the dangerous nonsense he spreads. The BBC interview where Andrew Neill calls him an idiot pissing himself laughing at him was great.

I'm only about an hour into the recent Joe Rogan one and so far Alex has been more subdued than his normal self (think he's been asked to tone it down by Joe). The previous one with Eddie Bravo was bonkers so this one's a disappointment from a car crash entertainment perspective.

The face of Spotify ladies and gentlemen.

Wouldn't be surprised if Rogan goes full Qanon in a few years. Every episode he keeps sliding more to the right. At least the whole Joe "listens to both sides" Rogan schtick is over. He's been masquerading as a libertarian for years when he's clearly far right.
