The BBC commentator had a good moan about shaws.Lindelof was booked for being pushed and accidentally handballing whilst nothing was given for the above. Absolutely scandalous.

Where do you think the ball is?Didn't look deliberate to me. I'm not sure what a photo of meant to show - it's meaningless.
Proves as much when Southgate would rather have dier and Henderson in the middle.Him calling Fergie a grass was the only time he was really relevant.
Think there was a call for him to be in the England squad when we had a manager like Hodgson cos he kept picking the same ol trash. Under Southgate, nah.
There is something seriously fecked up about referees having way too much power like that. Why are they so revered ? They feck up badly all the time.FA have said he isn't.
You're outta your mind if you think it wasn't on purposeDidn't look deliberate to me. I'm not sure what a photo of meant to show - it's meaningless.
VAR next season. The ref can look again if necessary. If he still deems that ok.........There is something seriously fecked up about referees having way too much power like that. Why are they so revered ? They feck up badly all the time.
Football needs a big revamp of its rules, just because a dumbass ref assessed terribly a situation doesn't mean nothing should be done about if afterwards
Yeah. Loved Pogba paying him back while being smart enough to not break him in half while doing so.Disgusting. Was glad when Pogba got him back, although it wasnt half as bad as his tackle.
How can you make contact like shelvey has there and it not be deliberate?Didn't look deliberate to me. I'm not sure what a photo of meant to show - it's meaningless.
Not deliberate. Just a man flying too high with studs up in an uncontrollable manner and connecting with the opposition player's leg with all of the studs on his shoes.Didn't look deliberate to me. I'm not sure what a photo of meant to show - it's meaningless.
All done without a hint of intent or maliceNot deliberate. Just a man flying too high with studs up in an uncontrollable manner and connecting with the opposition player's leg with all of the studs on his shoes.
Ridiculous, but honestly I'm not surprised.FA have said he isn't.
Problem with that is these cnuts are so arrogant that they can tell Marriner "Oi I think you've missed something here" and he'll be "nah mate I saw that alright, nothing in it, just a coming together of the hamstring and the studs"VAR next season. The ref can look again if necessary. If he still deems that ok.........
Welcome to ROLLERBALL!
Makes the point of a forum obsolete. There is no action being taken so what's the point of moaning about it .
We won we move on
Said something along the lines of Shaws wouldn’t look out of place in a rugby league matchThe BBC commentator had a good moan about shaws.
Great point. That's the way I'd always assumed it worked but there's been several examples where the FA were perfectly happy to retrospectively undermine a referee's decision to send a player off, when that player lodges an appeal (including a match refereed by Marriner).

So if they're willing to correct a refereeing error when a player gets sent off, why can't they correct an error where he should have sent someone off but didn't?!
For what it’s worth, I think Lascelle’s “tackle” on Hererra was even more dangerous and worthy of a red. Certainly no less dangerous than Bailly’s last week.
He also sent of the wrong Arsenal player because both of them are black. I seriously question the attention span of Andre Marriner. The premier league has had some shocking refs over the last decade. This was the same ref who failed to send off Michael Brown for a really horrible challenge on Giggs in the 5-1 win over Fulham at OT in 06-07, the opening game of the season.
Came to type this. VAR will influence the prem positively. Refs in the league have been shite lately. Can't wait for VAR. It won't be perfect but it'll be a huge f***ing step in the right direction.
Jenas is one of the biggest twats on the BBC, he’s full of it.Jenas claimed momentum made the challenge look worse than it was.
Yep, doesn't make sense to me neither.
Yes, but even then there will still be some talking points. But something like that would definitely result in a red card, when VAR is properly used.Does VAR actually handle situations like this in other leagues?
That can't happen under the current rules. Ref saw it and gave United a free kick. They can only get involved if the ref missed it.Has he been called up for it yet by the FA?
I was under the impression it could be reviewed after the game even if the ref had seen it. Providing the ref admitted to not seeing the full extent of the incident, which you would have to assume unless the ref is totally useless...That can't happen under the current rules. Ref saw it and gave United a free kick. They can only get involved if the ref missed it.
Strange, always thought it was if it was a yellow they couldn't . but then you rarely see tackles like that that don't at least garner a yellowThat can't happen under the current rules. Ref saw it and gave United a free kick. They can only get involved if the ref missed it.
They are criminals, who just happen to play footballHe's on the same level as Joey Barton for me. Chavvy scumbag thug who would probably be a criminal if not for football.
