Yes. 100%. No debate.
He was shite though, pity. I mean anyone could see our squad is terrible so he’s hardly said anything enlightening. The fact you bumped this straight away is pathetic. Your obsession with the man is borderline scary.

He was right but he's was one of the problem as well. Fecker kept Young/Smalling/Jones/Rojo/Fellaini/Mata/Lingard as starters despite having a fortune to spend.

The achievement is to spend the amount he spent and end up with that team. That's an achievement for sure.

He was right about some things but he also did a shit job. He played a big part in why everything is so bad along with numerous others.

The mess we are in is because of the owners, the board and Woodward. Wake up.

Totally. No structure, no strategy and no plan. It is all about dividends for the owners and f##k the football side. Their NFL team is the same.

Incredible that people still love Jose when he was one of the main reasons we’re in this shitty mess.

He was right when saying we have a poor squad,
Jose's problem was that he probably would never have been able to/been allowed to make the necessary changes.
Plus he fell out with everybody.

Top 2 was indeed a miracle with this group of players. Unfortunately, I fear even top 4 will be a miracle next season with Ole.

Funny thing is, Ole extended Jones, Young and keep playing those two with Lingard, Smalling.

I knew he was right , but he built this so he was the problem too.

No, he did not build this. He was gradually building what he waned to build but was frustrated by Woody. If the club had allowed him to build what he wanted to build, we would probably have won the premier league today. Pathetic how we came second last season and should have built on that. Instead, we messed everything up. If the board knew it was not going to back Jose, he should never have been allowed to start this season. Never. He should have been fired immediately after last season, a new manager brought in and serious investments made on player purchase during the last summer and winter windows.

Comparing last season to this season. We managed 81 points (2018) compared to 66 points (2019). We conceded 28 goals (2018) compared to 54 goals (2019). Goals scored 68 goals (2018) compared to 65 (2019).

It is clear from these stats that we made up for our defensive frailties using tactics in 2018. We needed to sign defenders. The club refused.

Our attack was also wanting (goals scored has barely changed), which shows we needed to improve our attack. The club refused. (People will go on about Lukaku, but we were forced into signing a striker due to Ibrahimovic injury - only choices were Lukaku or Morata).

I actually think a lot of the reason we have failed so miserably this season is because of the club itself. I believe these were major factors in why we performed so badly under Mourinho this season:

(a) I think Mourinho was pressured into changing the style of play. We weren't defending like we did last season. We weren't using the same tactics. Our midfield was not sitting back near the defence, which led to a massive concession of goals.
(b) We did not sign the players to improve the squad to change the style of play. Combining this with the pressure to change leads to disaster. There is a reason we were so defensive last season.
(c) Failure/unwillingness of the club to sell players (it is ridiculous how we still have Darmian, and refusing to replace Martial). This makes it impossible to rebuild the squad as the club will not sanction further signings.

No manager will be able to rebuild a squad if the club does not back them. Solskjaer won't be able to rebuild one either way.

He signed Alexis, Fred, Dalot and Lukaku for something like 140m£ combined and sold Blind. Just because Ole can’t seem to fix the mess, doesn’t mean Jose didn’t make the mess much worse during his time. Sure we finished 2nd once and won some secondary cups, but those were miserable times all the same.

I'm fairly sure that he extend none of them and that the negotiations started months before the extensions were signed.

Stopped reading after “won the PL today”. The fecking delusion

He was building nothing whatsoever and signing shite like Matic while indulging the likes of Smalling, Young and Lingard. He was a disaster.

Well now iv seen some nobody on Twitter say it iv totally changed my mind
No one really want anyone to change his mind about anything.

Doesn't change he was bloody right and this second spot we didn't like won't get repeated again for as many years as you can count.

Unless mistaken they got their contracts extended before he became full time. Not sure who he's suppose to play they're all shit which Jose kept or bought.

Of course next season if he starts the likes of Young/Smalling/Jones/Matic/Lingard/Rashford etc then he'll be gone by Christmas.

Jose didn't clear out this mess but made them first names on the sheet, not a average manager but Jose fecking Mourinho after having a fortune to spend.

They extended in Feb, 2.5 months while he was here. Of course he had a say in these contract extensions.

Good thing you stopped reading. I am actually happy you did.

Disaster indeed. We were SECOND last season. All the board needed to do was either of two things: fire Jose after last season and have a new manager start building on our second position early enough or back Jose fully, assess him for the season and fire him at the end of this season if need be. My bet is he would probably have won the title this season. You can call that delusion all you want but there is clear logic to it. Prick, he may be, but the guy is tried and tester winner.

Oh he did. He bought pogba mkh matic bailly fred dalot lukaku. The problem always lied in midfield and pogba and matic was his answer.

Lets assume we backed him and spent another 180 m to buy perisic William and maguire. Would that solve the problem? He was recruiting poorly when players like fabinho begged to come here but we went for fred. If koulibaly was such a good defender why not get him earlier itself instead of baiily? Why snub sadio mane? Kante rejected him too. He was out of his depth himself then coming second and boast of his nothing of an achievement was totally taking the piss.
