Yeah, I'm really happy with him and his attitude since the first Newcastle game, it's a massive shame that he's out now. The injury came from an incredible mazy run as well.Gutted about this. Just as he was growing with every performance.
He's shown some astonishing skill and technique at times, increasingly so in recent matches. His passing is inconsistent but when it's good it's really good. There's one hell of a player in there, it's just a question of whether he can bring it all together in a manner that will prove effective.
Anddd now we have to wait until next season to find out. Grrrrr.
Bishop?Time to release Harold
I know he was hitting some improved form recently and well played on him knuckling down but astonishing skill and technique, what I miss ?Gutted about this. Just as he was growing with every performance.

Some of his close control and dribbling has been absolutely sublime, at times.I know he was hitting some improved form recently and well played on him knuckling down but astonishing skill and technique, what I miss ?
Of course he is. Nothing is ever simple with us. So fecked.

Nothing. Lot of posters enjoy living on the "further out" side of the spectrum where player are awful and crap or astonishing. The guy had a good few scenes and no doubt, given that the technical Level in our team is as dire as it is, he stuck out but after all, it wasn't much more than a few good scenes.I know he was hitting some improved form recently and well played on him knuckling down but astonishing skill and technique, what I miss ?
100%Correct. A few times he's had some very nice touches and runs with the ball
Unfortunately most of the time his touch has been poor, he's lost the ball running with it and averages 0.7 shots on target per 90 mins. He had a couple of good games. Far more is needed
Great, stuck with Hojlund up top on his own then.
In this team when you start to look decent, it means you finally reach that state of intensity and effort you should put into every match. But because they are not used to it, they get injured.
To be fair Zirkzee got a start after a good sub appearance so was basically rewarded for that and I think he had a good chance of keeping the spot. Just a real shame he got injured. Not his biggest fan but the injury is a disaster for us and our Europa chances. Hojlund does not even look like a footballer.
I've avoided criticising Amorim much since he joined because the squad and circumstances are dreadful, but bit baffling the way he's favoured Hojlund in the important games recently, and started Zirkzee in the meaningless one only for him to get injured.
I really don’t believe that would be the case. He's a player who will look phenomenal in a functioning/successful team - bit of a cherry on top. Not convinced he's one that necessarily pulls a team out of a hard place but time will tell.
Definitely. De Ligt beside him too in that clip, both seem really good characters to have around.very likeable guy
I really don’t believe that would be the case.
He’s a highlights player, who I think would be far more appreciated in the 90s - where there was less of a need to press, and the game was less physical.
He can do a job for us, and I’m sure he will be here next season. Hopefully he can step up and improve. Whilst he has been on an upward trajectory of late, it’s still not good enough.
I think he could be a good squad player for us.
A player who seems to be unclear about his role. Does he score goals? Make goals? Show strength and bully opposition defenders? He doesn't have power...and although he has some nice technique, he doesn't seem to want, really want to improve the team, and take his opportunity to make a difference at Man Utd. And I find this annoying.
He really isn’t, and you’ve misunderstood the point of my post. Compared to Rasmus he’s better, for sure, but in no way ‘exceptional’ - exceptional would suggest he’s one of the best in the league! Do you think that’s the case?I don't think people watch our players sometimes. Pressing and winning the ball is one of the few areas where Zirkzee is actually exceptional.
Yea, I think he's one of the least highlights players we have.I don't think people watch our players sometimes. Pressing and winning the ball is one of the few areas where Zirkzee is actually exceptional.
