This signing would have been decent if we had goal scorers in the team. There’s been comparisons with Firminho, but Firminho had two players scoring 20 plus alongside him.
Still not seeing it.
They’ve gone for the martial profile, but he’s a tribute act (of peak Martial, not the crock version)Zero cutting edge. The correct striker signing in the summer was on the other team.
Martial was multiple levels better than this guy.
if only we learned from 12 months agoHe’s a donkey. He looks every bit like one of those fairly successful Serie A strikers that move to the PL and flop.

He’s so slow and leggy in his movement outside the box. At some points he reminded me of Lukaku in how slow and clumsy he looked.
When the ball does come directly to his feet or his chest he’s pretty good with his use of the ball but this is the PL, you don’t wait for the ball hoping it finds you. You have to be dynamic and agile in receiving and hunting the ball and Zirkzee is the total opposite of that.
He can't score...I don’t understand the harsh criticism on here. Sure he didn’t have a good game, but anyone who watched him in Serie A would’ve known that he thrives in a fluent attack. If we cannot keep the ball and pass it around and into the half spaces, then he’ll be wasted here.
Just so all of you know, even top strikers will struggle with how we play. Hojlund (not that he’s a top striker) came in and I don’t remember him even getting a touch of the football.
I’m 100% sure Zirkzee will be much better under a manager who sets his team up to play football, to not be afraid to bring forwards into play and dominate the half spaces.
Why does he always seem to be stretching to get a shot on target which inevitably trickles harmlessly into the goalkeeper's hands? I understand our team can't pass for shit but it seemed like the chance in the first half he didn't need to stretch for it and could have generated more power with a more stable body position.
Hojlund was injured when he signed and can't be relied upon. Even when fit he isn't that good. Solanke is clearly a better playerWe have one injury to a forward in Hojilund and Joshua Zirzkee is the best option this club can find to start as a United centre forward. Is this really how far we’ve sunk as a club.
Nothing against the lad as he seems to have a good attitude and would probably be fine as a squad player helping with rotation of first XI players but my god, he is starting games regularly and is way out his depth.
He isn’t.He can't score...
Play all the football he likes but in the box he is a clueless donkey
