He's clearly not someone who is comfortable coming off the bench. Takes him too long to get into the flow of games.

He’s not comfortable starting games. Having said that, he always seems well within his comfort zone.

Maybe he might get up to speed starting a cup game that goes into extra time?

You joking? Didn't he have a very good cameo against Leeds?

He's good when the game isn't stretched and there's loads of time on the ball. But he doesn't suit Premier League football. I hope we get him off the books in January.

If you're going to be languid, you need to be spectacular at everything else.

edit: I also think it's ironic that his profile pic is off him having broken into a sweat.

Aside from his assist 2 minutes into coming on against Leeds, of course
You should extrapolate beyond that. It's more unlikely than him coming on and looking exactly like he did tonight.

It wasn't really the right change but I think the hope was that we'd have another player in the box if something fell for us. I think we might've been better off keeping Cunha on

Can’t believe anyone is looking to pay actual money for this guy, one of the worst signings we’ve ever made.

Accept any bid that comes in as soon as possible.

He plays with mindset of a flair player like Robinho. Always try to look cool, trying difficult flick, nutmeg, turning his marker… without the level and skill to truly linear and leave his marker behind. He just wants to play at his own pace even if it’s out rhythm with the team and the the flow of the game.

I don’t think he’s cut out of for top level even in other slower paced leagues.

He’s the personification of “hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work hard”.

Would be better off in Spain or Italy where he can play at 1km/hr. He was a sub today and was still beaten for intensity by players who started the game. We need to call Roma and resume negotiations.

The suspended dialogue with Roma tells you all you need to know about our serious incompetence when it comes to squad planning, recruitment etc.

Was Amorim the only one who thinks he should be moved on and hasn't got what it takes.

Why was he even brought on? looks to purposely slow walk away from the ball anytime its near him.

Last couple of games hes just got in the box as an extra body, letting everyone else get on with trying to fashion a chance to get the ball into the box

He was called out as being out of shape and unfit the minute we signed him by a lot of us on here but we were told to be patient as he was coming back from an injury. He is a fat, lazy futsal player, who has zero desire to work hard and fight for the club. Whoever scouted him, recommended him and pushed for his signing needs to be fired out of a cannon. And whoever is currently telling Roma he’s off the market so that new manager can take a look at him also needs firing out of that same cannon.
Wish we were run properly and ruthless with any player that should lazy, soft or weak minded traits. Shaw, Dalot, Lindelof, Maguire, Sancho, Erikson, and plenty others have gotten way more time at this club over the last few years then they should have. This useless lump is going to be the next one

Harry Maguire is genuinely a better option up front than this muppet. The worst striker ive ever seen at this club and an occasional nice touch or 1-2 doesn't change that.

Came on in the 62nd minute and had 9 touches.

In a period of the game where we were generally playing better especially later with the introduction of Casemiro.

Who-ever sanctioned this transfer needs to give their head a wobble especially paying £30m odds for this clown.

How are our scouts looking at Wyscout and the likes and thinking this would work in the premier league? We are already well past the stage where we cant afford any more transfer misses.

Its a bit of a doom loop of no champions league = no top players want to come to the club = less chance of making champions league places in future = other teams leapfrogging us as we slide down the places

Haven't Roma come out and said United don't want to sanction a sale (or loan with obligation) following Amorim's sacking?

Surely the only sensible thing is to sell him. Cunha/Mbeumo up top is a better solution. Just seeing him in the match day squad is demoralising.

Forgot he wasn't even in the squad today, with everyone back and generally 1 game a week at most, is he really needed? Surely best to get something and for his sake a chance to be at the world cup

He’s really not needed anymore.

If everyone’s fit, the front 4 is Mbeumo, Cunha, Amad & Bruno. Dorgu/Mount/Sesko can rotate into that.

I trust Carrick on this one.... Deffo has not done himself any favours in his last few performances though.

Let's put this signing behind us now. Like Fellaini, for better or worse, he's the face of a dreadful period for the club. Never a United player.
