Watching Southampton vs Middleborough yesterday and it was poor quality. That's probably his quality, if even
I think lethargic looking players have always been around, eg Le Tissier, Berbatov etc. But that was their style and they made up for it with ability and impact (more often than not). Zirkzee has the lethargy but he has too little ability or impact, hence he’s m the periphery. I can’t believe he got selected for the Dutch national team or signed by us. He’s a fake at this level. Hope he moves on this summer and finds the right club where he can do his thing. It’s certainly not in the PL.
I’m sure Bayern sold him for about 6M 4 or 5 years back. Then there’s that video of his manager chastising his lack of effort at half time. He could probably be a bit of a maverick for Fulham or someone but for me he’s just far too soft and lacking in application. Has he ever really looked arsed? 5 PL goals or something?

He wasn't bad at all. He played his part in all of those beautiful counter-attacks.
I understand the thought about signing him tactically, however, the warning signs about his poor application in matches were there to see from his previous clubs. He has no aggression or intensity in his play. He is a player that is imperative to get rid of. He sticks out like a sore thumb not because he hasn't got the technical ability but he is clearly a player that shouldn't even be part of a squad going for titles.

If we can't get rid of him in the Summer hopefully he might be useful as a squad player in certain European games, to rest others. The PL is certainly not for him.
Fellaini was a much bigger goal threat than Zirkzee.
Purely in terms of being a threat Zirkzee might be the worst striker we've ever had.
His close control gets talked up far too much as well. He’s not even that good at that.
