Joshua Zirkzee

Not surprising. Neville said he wasn’t looking very happy when Martinez came on for Bruno.

If we can get rid of him and bring in Semenyo, it would be a great change

I’d be sad to see him go as I like watching him play, but also, if we can recoup a decent chunk of change then yeah, fair enough.

He needs to go there but it needs to be a perm move not a loan otherwise what is the point

Technically fine, just glacial in mind and feet. Was never going to work here.

It's so nice to see us actually getting rid of players instead of holding onto them forever like we used to.

I think the whole players having 2 years thing is probably true, and looking like a good policy.

I think it’s something like 60 games and only 8 goals? I know some of those were sub appearances but I just never feel confident that he's a goal threat at all, despite the good link up play every now and then. Wish him good luck if he moves.

Should mean the Semenyo pursuit gets cleared up one way or another soon

An absolutely baffling signing from the first watch.
Not at all mobile in a very fast moving league.
Whoever sanctioned it needs real scrutiny.

Definitely need to move him whilst he still has some value, his price is only going to drop.

Serious question, what do you like? He doesn’t ever really do anything that I see.
I always like his first touch and interplay. I’m always a fan of a tall player who is skill full. I feel like he is the sort of player who can make others improve.

I also like his hair.

I would imagine Roma will offer us a loan deal or at most a loan deal with a stipulated obligation to buy which will heavily favour them. So not entirely certain this one goes through yet.

But would be happy enough to let him go if we get a deal that suits us and we are able to re-enforce the team with a player we do want.

He's a much better footballer than Sesko, but if we strengthen elsewhere, it's not a terrible loss.

Zirkzee is much more suited to Serie A. He has nice skills but it’s a bit slow for Premier League.

His hair is his only redeeming quality. He’d be a decent option for one of those Baller League teams. Not a serious PL team.

Decent touch is great, but would be better if he could do more once he’s controlled it.

Pretty obvious that he lacked the physical intensity for the PL within his first couple of games at the club. Stupid signing as so often recently.

Talented player, just not for this league.

Yeah I agree. Scored feck all goals in the league he was in. Not sure why we bought him in the first place.

I think even if we don’t get Semenyo, and even slightly short for a few games - we should take this opportunity.

Permanent move circa £25m good for all parties

How do we replace the nothing he contributes in his minutes?

He offers nothing. Irregardless of a replacement just get rid.

It would be a good move for everyone, assuming we get a replacement. He’s got some qualities but not really the ones we need.

Serie A coming to United’s rescue again! I’ll drive him to the airport if it means we can get Semenyo in as an attacking replacement.

Hopefully a sign if confidence that we can get Semenyo

AFCON ends in less than a month. Even if we sold him on Jan 1st we'd be without the AFCON players for at most about two weeks more. I don't think it should come into our thinking at all when deciding whether or not to sell a bit part player who never kicked on. That would be some crazy short-termism. Not selling a player we want rid of because we want him for another fortnight.

Agree. He doesn't play anyway, since Amorim clearly doesn't rate him - he'd rather play Cunha up front. Not hard to replace someone who takes up zero minutes.

Sell and get Semenyo. Massive upgrade. Cunha can always play as a 9 if needed

Sell and give his minutes to a youngster for the end of the season:

Use whatever we get for him to get in Ruben Neves if rumours of a return are true. We won’t miss his 3 goal season contribution and we can at least rectify our midfield in the process by pushing Bruno back forward and playing behind Cunha with Sesko as the striker substitute.

Re-assess in the summer.

Decent feet, just a shame they’re made of concrete. Seems a decent pro and always gives his all and comes across as a positive in the dressing room, but we need better.

Time is right, hopefully this means Semenyo is happening
