He's double downed.
Juve fans would back their team even if Agnelli completely lost his marbles and set up a fully functional belt fed mg42 and began wasting bystanders while coked to the gills. "But what about YOUR chairman? You're all just as bad" They would foam at the mouth. "They were found NOT GUILTY of bribing the entire Italian FA! One of the judges that got bribed said they were innocent!", they would continue to ramble and gesticulate wildly. "OF COURSE we could spend 500million per year on players despite only actually earning 100million a year! It was... All the levers!" They would scream into the safely padded white room, while the happy ward smiles at them softly.

Juventus are pathological; they got burned and relegated this same century, and yet here we are, again less than 20yrs later?

And were these players turned business men always cnuts, or do they simply step up and play the game once they move into that shady world?

Aren’t you guys owned by the fiat group? Surely they can take a page out of city’s book and do some fake sponsorship or something.
While floating in the public market, there is no way to escape the scrutiny of the regulator, and rightly so. Elkann’s dogs had a look at the balance sheet and concluded Agnelli may be in deep sh*t, in spite of three recent re-financing rounds for.almost €1b.

Didn’t know you guys were a publicly traded company.

Milan and inter fans must be on cloud nine right now.

One-time footballing heartthrob Pavel Nedved is morphing into Rab C Nesbitt, that's the real story
Nedved is the other lad

Fair play though - Agnelli does look a bit like Rab C Nesbitt in that photo!

I sometimes think you guys end up in a scandal, just to make other teams in Italy think they have a chance and come back to run laps around them again.

Agnelli went full tilt after losing those two 2015 and 2017 CL finals… he sacked the always prudent Marotta and started betting 2x after 2x, like in a casino: Ronaldo, the SuperLeague, the Covid impact… and he lost his shirt.

I know who Pavel Nedved is, fella! The guy on the left is who I was talking about... a slightly more glam version of Rab C Nesbitt maybe!

Horrible club.

They only win hundreds of league titles because they bribe the Italian FA.

Its why they never win the Champions League, as they won’t pay extra in bribes.

Hope they get kicked out of Serie A (again).

Seriously though this is actually worse than 2006 for Juve. 2006 only involved sporting sanctions, this is likely to involve sporting sanctions and financial regulatory sanctions. They basically defrauded their own investors and the stock market.

They're going to be hit with all sorts of sanctions left right and centre and a relegation is going to look like a slap on the wrist.

As for the SL, this is the final nail in the coffin. Glazers and Henry selling up has already shown us that the English teams won't be in it (I suspect they know the EUCJ is almost certainly going to the last hope) and Juve are going to be a Serie B team at best.

Can't wait to see the levers that Barca have to pull when when they get hit with a 2 year European ban.

In the Romano picture of all 4 men, the one next to Nedved, second from the right, looks like the actor Trevor Eve.

I’m not sure if anyone’s followed Juventus, but Vlahovic hasn’t been good for them. If we got that performances he’s displayed at Juventus, we’d be calling him a flop or at best the dreaded “good squad player”.

It must be Siu's social engagement "value" that they added to their books which in fact, has no value

Seeing them being the club doing all this really isn't surprising. Definitely feels like we have been through this all before

There's only one United!
The entire board of directors at Juventus has resigned, including president Andrea Agnelli and vice president Pavel Nedved, the Italian Serie A club said in a statement Monday.

The board had sought independent legal advice over an ongoing investigation by prosecutors in Turin into allegations of false accounting and irregularities in the transfer and loans of players.

It resigned over "new legal and accounting opinions" from experts, and given "the centrality and the relevance of the pending legal and technical/accounting matters", the club said.

The exodus marks the end of a chapter for Agnelli, who as chairman saw Juventus win nine-straight Serie A titles as well as reach the 2015 and 2017 Champions League finals.

He was also a fervent supporter of the European Super League. Two of the clubs that also hoped to join -- Manchester United and Liverpool -- are now up for sale.

But he risks legal woes along with over a dozen other people in the commissions' case.

Juve are being probed over €282 million euros of capital gains -- the positive difference between purchase and sale values net of amortisation and write-downs -- from a series of player transfers booked in their financial results for 2019, 2020 and 2021.

Prosecutors in Turin are investigating the possibility that Juve, who are listed on the Italian stock exchange, presented false accounting information to investors and produced invoices for non-existent transactions over that period.

The outgoing board "considered (it) to be in the best social interest to recommend that Juventus equip itself with a new board of directors to address these issues," the club said.

Managing director Maurizio Arrivabene was asked to stay on for an interim period while a new board could be brought together for the Turin giants, the club said.

The next shareholders' meeting is set for December 27 and will examine new consolidated financial statements as of June 30, 2022.

Shareholders are then set to meet again on January 18 to appoint the new board, it said.

A raft of transfers involving Juve and other clubs are also the subject of a parallel investigation which was launched by the Italian Football Federation (FIGC) in October.

What is discovered by prosecutors will then be passed on to the FIGC, which has powers to sanction clubs with a range of punishments from fines to being kicked out of the league.

The club will "continue to cooperate with the supervisory and industry authorities", it said.

Can’t wait until the Barca defence gets used by Juve fans. It was the last board who did it, not the club!

Vlahovic is the only player who could automatically fill our starting lineup (or any big team's). The rest is just meh. In comparison to the Juventus 2006 team, this is a completely different situation.

Yeah was thinking this reading a few comments. Been watching juve a bit lately (god knows why) but I’ve been more impressed by Rabiot and Kostic.
Also  @these being involved in a scandal yet again.

It feels like someone forgot to tell them that they couldn't actually run a publicly traded company like their own private little kingdom.

That 2006 team had notably Buffon, Chiellini, Camoranesi and Trezeguet willing to go down to Serie B with them if I remember correctly. Don't see anyone from the current squad remotely close in terms of talent and ties with the club willing to go down with them if they are relegated again. Maybe a past-it Bonucci only. Locatelli perhaps?

So, Agnelli was adamant about Juventus remaining in the Super League, even if it looks dead in the water, presumably to sort out their as-yet unknown financial issues. Barcelona's massive debt is also well documented, financial levers and all.

This leads me to ask if Real Madrid, the only other club still clinging to the idea of the Super League, have some issues that haven't come to light yet? It's just speculation on my part.

I agree. Them being a listed company is the most important part.
You might be able to trick UEFA or they might choose to close their eyes, but when you are dealing with ESMA and potential securities fraud there is no easy way out for Juve.
