Kobbie Mainoo

Yes, the context which is it being posted just after Amorim was sacked.

She has every reason to have the hump about how her brother has been treated by Amorim. If that is the extent of her putting the boot in over what happened then anyone who takes offence really need to grow thicker skin.

I would have thought the permanently offended could have focussed on her wearing City colours and a necklace which says City anyway?!

Let's just hope it doesn't go down the Garnacho route.

Revisionism on here is crazy.. I think most have even forgotten how he started under EtH last season topping ball recovery + interceptions lists especially for u21 ages. The ability he has to keep the ball under pressure, his combative ability he also showed for Euro's, incredibly strong in both ground duels and aerial duels.

His lack of passing range, lack of speed and poor stamina are clear issues but he's not some mediocre talent.

In a 3 man midfield, he will shine again.
Remember his dribbling ability too when fully confident? So nice to watch. Rarely lost the ball.

Like others have said, I'm looking forward to seeing him in the team again. I think some people have massively overblown his ability but hope he features again ASAP.

This. He embodies everything we love about the club. Academy lad with a great attitude. Can’t wait to see him back.

Ruben would have fecking sold him ffs.

Does this include refusing to sign a new contract with the club unless it's on a hugely inflated wage that would put him among the top earners?

Come on, liking him is one thing, but embodying everything we love about the club? A young player with one or two standout abilities and lots of areas that need improving, who's holding the club to ransom?

This was debunked by athletic I'm quite sure.

Do you have the link?
Mainoo is currently paid around £20,000 a week. Conversations over a new, extended deal have taken place over the past year and have understandably centred around a hike to that salary.

As a key player for the club, Mainoo was hoping for a substantial improvement to his terms — potentially up to 10 times those present wages.

That is Whitwell's article.
And I posted Whitwells own video.

The article says Mainoo was looking at a big rise *potentially* up to 10x more. He wasn't demanding that as a minimum I'd imagine the agreeable level is some way below, and gives the context in the video that he doesn't see Mainoo as the type to have such a demand to that level. Naturally he'd love to have it so the article makes sense, but it debunks @The Hilton point that it wa a key demand.

The article is from five months after that video you posted.

Mainoo Casemiro Bruno in a midfield 3 ?

The ticket. Effing madness that Amorim was blind to what everyone else could easily see. But now Mainoo’s prison guard has been relieved of duty he needs to hit the ground running. Mount is direct competition for a midfield spot and on his day Mount is more than decent.

Ah fair enough then, I retract.

200k is way too much, I don't quite believe he's holding out for that as a minimum. It's a wording that's vague with "potential"

It doesn't debunk anything mate, come on. It corroborates that Mainoo was looking for a pay rise large enough for the club to baulk at, even if it doesn't name a specific demand. And given that it states up to 10x more, suggests a number around there was flagged, unless you're suggesting the article pulls it from thin air (in which case the article shouldn't be trusted as confirmation either way).

The video is before the article but Whitwells view that it's about perspective and he doesn't see Mainoo as the character to demand that is telling.

I think his agents or people around him are representing him poorly if it's true. These things can be ironed out.

I guess it's a stating point, the article says something about Casemiro being on 350k which I guess is his way of justifying that request.

I think 100k max because he simply hasn't shown the ability to stay fit consistently and to be honest there are questions about whether his skillset is good enough.

I think they gave Garnacho something like 70k when he signed his last deal and that's probably fair IMO.

We know that to be true don't we. He's surrounded by idiots it seems.
