Time for a change of season.
La Liga is expected to start on the weekend of 18/19 August and finish mid May. No fixtures list yet, they're expected to come out in a couple of weeks time (23rd July according to some sites).
Just as a reminder, at the end of 2017/18:
The top: Barcelona (93), Atletico Madrid (79), Real Madrid (76), Valencia (73)
Europa League places: Villarreal, Real Betis ("Long live Betis even when they lose"), Sevilla
Relegated: Deportivo, Las Palmas, Malaga
Promoted from Liga2 for 2018/19: Huesca, Rayo Vallecano, Real Valladolid
It's Huesca's first time in Liga1, in fact they didn't even get into Liga2 until 10 years ago (though a previous version of the town's club got to Liga2 in the 50s). They're from Aragon - Spain/France border region. The stadium holds 5500. In a league of whales and minnows, these guys are tiddlers. That said, they were in the Liga2 playoffs in 2016/17, losing out to Getafe, so last season wasn't really a freak result.
