Vinicius and James start. Hazard on the bench.

Forgot Bale had to sit this one out due to the red card.

Vazquez starts again, hattrick for him for sure.

Real Madrid beating bottom half team convincingly at home, nothing to see here.

You went to Atletico Madrid last season and won 3-1 with Solari in charge.

Despite all the injuries I'd say today has first choice back 5 out, two first choice midfielders in Casemiro and Kroos and Benzema is regular striker so 8/11 out is pretty strong.

ok Benz is a monster now, what's going on?
I remember you always talking trash about him. Even though he's been one of the best servants for Madrid. The guy is world class putting his own ambitions aside for the sake of the clubs succes.

Not really, we've had like 50 colossal chances here
Had like two. Almost chances don't count for much, especially considering Levante are attacking and trying to score. Also, of course Levante's subs have worked better. It's 2-0 Levante in the 2nd half.

Way more than 2. Vini had 2 one on one with the gk, benzema hit the post, hazard had one. Plus a bunch of good non-clear cut chances

We really should have scored 3 in the second half as well all considered

Very good finishing from real in the first half.

Look v suspect defensively though. Team doesn't have balance. Will struggle often this season as will concede to many goals.

So much space on their left side it's almost ludicrous.

Zidane doesn't know now to fit Hazard in the team, were worse pre season with him in.

Levante gave that a good go in the end. Saw them a bit last season and for a limited squad they played some lovely combinations on the pitch sometimes (compare that to Newcastle who with 100m + squad are just hoofing at every opportunity).

Nearly scored off the header and if the wide player had looked up when played in there were 2 Levante players unmarked on edge of box. Instead he had a go at near post and hit side netting.

Feels like continuation of last season, Real Madrid got their first choice back 4 out and got Casemiro and Kroos infront of them yet are still shipping in goals home and away.

Aitor made 8 saves as well. Great performance from both teams. Levante never giving up, and generally don't need much to score.

Think they scored more goals than Atléti last season.

I mean, their gk was motm

Levante barely crossed their half for 70 minutes. Their goals just kind of happened

Real Madrid look pretty weak in the air. Second goal came from that and nearly equaliser in injury time.

First was Courtois not coming out and carvajal lets the player get behind him. The header at the end was a mistake by the line. We're not weak in the air

True

Yet they could have had 4, set piece save and that near post attempt when pull back was by far the best option near the end.

They also had couple of breaks in the first half.

6 conceded in 4 games against average opposition. So 60 odd goals against if that trend continues this season.

Best performance came against Celta. Zidane got work to do.

A few seasons ago he looked finished though tbh. He messed up every chance he had.

But yeah, I was wrong again about a football player, surely nobody can be surprised anymore about this?

Anyway, long may it continue.

Anoeta completed looks brilliant.

Think Atletico Madrid will drop points here.

Atleti with zero shots on target so far.

We've seen this script many times before though.

Nearly scored with a header first half. Neat and tidy as usual.

Odegaard scores!

Thought he'd taken too many touches as usual when around the box but got his shot away which took massive deflection.

La real deserve this, Atletico Madrid been nulified. Felix subbed off after not doing a lot.
