If Atletico win today, they will become a club that won the Intercontinental Cup not having won the European Cup, and the Spanish Supercup not having won the Liga or Copa del Rey :D

Madrid's midfield is good, but the lack of quality upfront doesn't help. Hope it gets better when Marcelo comes on during extra time.

So Real Madrid win on penalties in the end.

Valverde named best player of the match.

Another trophy wrapped up by Ramos, Real looking good this season, more so when you look who they've got come back.

Valverde awful miss then gets extra time red, hero in the end...

Courtois is having the best season of his career, he's been immense since the start. Decisive today once again.

Atletico fans must be beyond traumatized by now.

He was decent and has improved massively, got a bit lucky after flapping at corner though, good pen save.

Atletico have been relegated within last 20 years, so all relative. Not in the same weight division as Real if we're honest.

On side note, surely Perez should keep his hands off the players, right love in, especially with Casemiro and Ramos , guess that's normal in Spain.

Zidane, 9 finals, 9 trophy’s. His teams might not play the most attractive football, but you cannot argue with his results with a loaded team.

Yes, Courtois must definitely be shutting up all those that argued that lettting Navas leave was a mistake. While the latter was an amazing shotstopper that made unbelievable saves, he didn’t transmit the security and presence that Courtois has this year.
And yeah Atlético fans must be looking for solace in the bottom of a bottle. That foul by Valverde destroyed their chances.

Neil Warnock would still have him right down his list.

Zidane is a great coach. He's showing a lot of people that there's a way to be successful even after losing one of the greatest players of all-time and the central focus of his entire team.

Last year he had a bad season but I really believe he's amongst the very best in the world. Having a more solid defense in front of him was just what he needed.

Barcelona have informed Valverde that they will negotiate the termination of his contract. He will not continue in Barcelona (Catalunya Radio)

I like the move, but Valverde’s exit should have been handled better.

Cracking goal. I can't wait until Barca sell him to some random team for 7M before buying him back for 26M.:confused:

Interesting. Squad player I take it given how strong Real Madrid look in central midfield already for the coming years. Hopefully he'll make more impact there than Robben, Snejider and Van Der Vaart.

So no Erikssen then? Anyway signing him last summer would have been better but it will still be a good addition to the team.

Setién as a manager, Messi retiring soon probably... dark days are coming for Barca... Unless they get rid of Bartomeu

Next time someone's through on goal, just run into a stationairy oppo and grab your face. Seems legit.
