The race at the top is getting really heated.
I'm pulling for Barca.
I'm pulling for Barca.
They’re 4 points ahead but if we win tomorrow it’ll just be one point ahead with another game between the two teamsAtletico were quite poor against Sevilla, particularly defensively. The players don't look committed to playing so defensively, and their collapse this season is sort of reminding me of how Mourinho's teams tend to burn out over time. They even had a decent change to equalise, but Correa lacked the composure to settle on the ball and score past Bono, instead going for a first-time outside-of-the-foot shot.
Atletico are now 3 points ahead of Barcelona. After having such a large lead at the start, I'm surprised at how they've collapsed this season.
Yeah, my bad. I meant to say Real Madrid there. They’re 4 points ahead but if we win tomorrow it’ll just be one point ahead with another game between the two teams
oh maybe I misunderstood, you’re right thenYeah, my bad. I meant to say Real Madrid there.
Well the Cavani stuff from a few months back. Perhaps Cala sort of was saying call down dude but mentioned Negrito and obviously that's a dodgy thing to use in any language. Why?
Isnt this a South American thing rather than Spanish?Well the Cavani stuff from a few months back. Perhaps Cala sort of was saying call down dude but mentioned Negrito and obviously that's a dodgy thing to use in any language.
I assume like the Suarez-Evra incident it will be properly investigated and we'll get the transcript of what was said from both players and have to judge the context of it.
If he's going full Luis Aragones then he needs to be banned for rest of the season, no question.
In that context, without friendship or affinity (like Cavani ) saying negro will always have a negative connotation.Well the Cavani stuff from a few months back. Perhaps Cala sort of was saying call down dude but mentioned Negrito and obviously that's a dodgy thing to use in any language.

they got hit hard with covid losing a ton of players and their rhythm has been off ever since. Many of those players have come back but their form hasn’t been the same. What has happened to Atletico? It looked like the league was a formality a few months ago but defeat tonight and you would have to say I can't see them finishing ahead of Barcelona or Real Madrid now
Any La Liga watchers explain what has happened? Haven't followed as much since start of the year

On top of that, Saúl has become less committed to playing for Atletico in recent weeks. Despite that, he still starts, but he's slowly getting disconnected from the dressing room, and he's been expressing his desire to leave the team.they got hit hard with covid losing a ton of players and their rhythm has been off ever since. He's awful. I hope we go nowhere near him at all. Would be just like us to splurge on him and fund Haaland for Barca. We should look to save Griezmann from Barca.
We obviously wouldn't have to splurge because he obviously is worth much. Nothing awful about him, just doesn't fit the team. If he was here he'd probably be our best player. He's awful. I hope we go nowhere near him at all. Would be just like us to splurge on him and fund Haaland for Barca.
I think you meant to say thisReferee may have saved our season.
Next weekend yeah (right in between the Liverpool games for Real who are without Ramos). Make or brake time for both Barca and them now.Isn't El Clasico soon (given it was played about 5 games into this season). Atletico Madrid simply must win that weekend as other two could both drop points.
They've made a right old mess of things post xmas.
yup, clasico is this SaturdayIsn't El Clasico soon (given it was played about 5 games into this season). Atletico Madrid simply must win that weekend as other two could both drop points.

How are you feeling about the Madrid matchup in CL?Next weekend yeah (right in between the Liverpool games for Real who are without Ramos). Make or brake time for both Barca and them now.
Can’t say I’ve seen much of them, but Ramos out is still a good thing for us I guess. On our day we shouldn’t be afraid of anyone in Europe, so if we actually turn up I’m confident we can beat them over two legs. Guess it’s 50/50? Excited to play them though (and get revenge for the lost 2018 final). How are you feeling about the Madrid matchup in CL?
Just checked and Atleti got Betis away next weekend....could easily drop points as Betis have really picked up after their slow start to the season and are currently 5th.yup, clasico is this Saturday
It’s also going to be without Suarez and Llorente due to YC suspensions. But anything can happen .Just checked and Atleti got Betis away next weekend....could easily drop points as Betis have really picked up after their slow start to the season and are currently 5th.
best of luck, should be a great matchupCan’t say I’ve seen much of them, but Ramos out is still a good thing for us I guess. Honesty, Atleti are done and it's looked that way for weeks. Liga will come down to Madrid and Barca. The latter do have a harder run in so absolutely have to ensure they don't lose Classico. It’s also going to be without Suarez and Llorente due to YC suspensions. But anything can happen .
for which part? The one where griezman took an elbow in the penalty box and nothing was called? Alba wasn’t a handball based on the current rules. The red was harsh for sure but we were denied a penalty on the other end as wellI think you meant to say this.
Wouldn't fit us eitherWe obviously wouldn't have to splurge because he obviously is worth much. Nothing awful about him, just doesn't fit the team. If he was here he'd probably be our best player.
Why not? Play Bruno slightly deeper and him in a free role off the right.Wouldn't fit us either
