In all seriousness, what's next for Real and Barcelona? Their financial troubles won't suddenly disappear.

Or are we led to believe that they are in financial troubles without it actually being the case?
Both in serious debts both chasing Halaand. Madrid planning to sigh Mbappe and Halaand both.
They will be fine. Some how.

The Super League wasn't going to address the issue of teams overspending and inflating the prices but I think Real Madrid and Atlético are going to be fine. Not so sure about Barcelona but I guess they'll figure something out or might consider selling Messi this time around.

We'll see. I think Florentino might be overplaying the financial troubles of real madrid bit to be honest

We were pretty much the only big club to turn a profit in 19/20. We'll lose money like everyone else this year, but it's hard to believe we can go from profit to existential crisis in the span of a year. Sounds more like a tactic because we don't have the money to spare for new investements

we can’t sell messi, his contract ends this season. Hopefully just re-sign him to a cheaper deal

Sevilla leading once again. If Atleti feck up one more time, they even have a slight to chance to win the title, as the Rojiblancos still need to go to the Camp Nou. Insane run-in! Real are away to Cadiz tonight, who have already beaten Barca at home this season.

SuperLeague or Spanish League?

Kidding aside. Intresting weeks ahead.

Sevilla win. Standings:

Atleti 70 Points (played: 31)
Real 67 Points (played: 31)
Sevilla 67 Points (played: 32)
Barcelona 65 Points (played: 30)

Final fixtures:
Atletico: Huesca (H), Athletic (A), Elche (A), Barcelona (A), Real Sociedad (H), Osasuna (H), Valladolid (A)
Real: Cadiz (A), Betis (H), Osasuna (H), Sevilla (H), Granada (A), Athletic (A), Villarreal (H)
Barcelona: Getafe (H), Villarreal (A), Granada (H), Valencia (A), Atletico (H), Levante (A), Celta Vigo (H), Eibar (A)
Sevilla: Granada (H), Athletic (H), Real (A), Valencia (H), Villarreal (A), Alaves (H)

Barcelona (and Atletico) are in the driving seat, but their fixtures include a lot potential banana skins. Atletico seem to have the easiest games left on paper IMHO.

Real have the head-to-head advantage over both Barcelona and Atletico, and have already won away in Sevilla. Atletico have the head-to-head advantage over Sevilla and head to the Camp Nou having won the first game at their home ground 1-0. Basically, Sevilla probably need to win all their fixtures to have a chance at the title.

That was one of the dumbest fouls leading to a pen I've seen in a long time. Stonewall pen, but why oh why did he put his foot there. Benzema converts, 1-0 Real.

Damn we really are in a level or two behind when it comes down to the technical abilities of the players. The pace of reals play and passing is something else compared to ours.

Love Barcelona, been there so many times. Was there 2 years ago visiting the stadium and met Dembele in the club shop. I hope Perez burns in hell fecking devil.
Wow, I’m envious! I’ve been to Barcelona a few times to catch a bunch of matches but never met anyone from the team. Crazy that dembele was in the club shop of all places!

Nostalgia bias.
Nop. He was way more elegant and skilfull compared to Benzema not to mention he plays/played in a worldclass team that created a feckton of chances each game.
If you compare Raul's career at Real - that team averaged 75 goals on avg per season vs Benzema's 95 goals on avg per season.

edit:
When people were saying in the past that he wasn't scoring a lot because he was providing for Ronaldo when the real reason was him missing chance after chance

His goalscoring record especially goal+assist/per minute obliterates Raul's. From his Lyon days up to even today when Real Madrid definitely isn't scoring 95 goals a season.
This video was made by a Cristiano fanboy, you can make one twice as long as this one for Ronaldo if you want it, the players who score the most are always the ones with the most chances missed.

Also Raul more skillful than Benzema is a big fat joke. As I said : nostalgia bias.

Real's last 12 years average goals scored in La Liga is 95. They had numerous seasons(8 times) where they scored over 100 goals. That's never ever happened during Raul's career. It's fairly easy to score a shit ton of goals when you have the best players in the world providing you with assists. And no it's not nostalgia bias. Put peak late 90s-early00s Raul into the team Benzema played during early-mid 2010s and he'd be pulling similar if not even better numbers

He also had four seasons from 2003-2007 where he would have been better of taking a paid leave of absence, three out of them single digits in the league (and it's not just the goals, it was akin to Fernando Torres falling apart after moving to Chelsea albeit not that bad). To his credit he rebounded somewhat afterwards.

Last three seasons Real Madrid has not been scoring 100 goals or even close to that.
Benzema has been scoring more in the last three seasons as opposed to the ones prior to Ronaldo leaving.
Your argument is disingenious, Madrid scoring over 100 goals did not help Benzema, he started scoring more goals when Ronaldo left. If you actually believe Benzema benefited from playing alongside Ronaldo goalscoringwise you are utterly delusional.

A stat : Benzema has 32 headed goals in his La Liga careers, 16 OF THEM came in the past 3 years. Why? Because Ronaldo is no longer there to go into the box and eat up his space.

Raul would score less alongside CR7 than he did in the 90s, there is no central forward who would score more with CR7 as opposed to without him.

Look at me watching Barca v Getafe because of one guy. It will be incredibly sad when Messi retires in the (hopefully distant) future.
The only player that has ever made me watch a game between clubs i don’t care for.
