Lamine Yamal

Why can't you just admit that Yamal behaved like an absolute bellend?

Just like Onana behaved like a bellend and got spanked by Matic.

Just like Bellingham was being a bellend on the pitch and suffered consequences for it.

There is no way in hell you can possibly believe Yamal's behaviour is acceptable. This isn't MMA/Boxing trash talk ffs.

Not to mention the utterly embarrassing, "Catch me outside, how bow dah" moment with Carvajal. It's so cringe ffs.
This says more about you than it does about any of those guys. Not everyone has to behave in exactly the way you want them to behave. Players have different ways in which they approach competition.

Right, this is hilarious.

I'm a bad person because I think a guy talking shit about other clubs/people is unacceptable

People have different ways to approach competition, I'm allowed to think their approach makes them an unlikeable dickhead.

One minute you guys complain about players being too media trained when it comes to interviews etc and now you complain when a player who grew up playing for the rival club saying whatever he wants about the rival.

He can say what he wants , if he doesn’t back it up then that’s on him , if he does then more power to him.

I never said you are a bad person. You are allowed to not like somebody, but that doesn't mean that they have to do exactly what you want them to do.

But difference between Neymar and Messi/Ronaldo duo was so huge that they are not in the same sentence. And if Yamal only ends up being at level of Neymar, after kicking off career playing pretty much on best player in the world level, and pretty much everyone agreeing that he is Messi/Ronaldo successor as an undisputed BPITW, then it would be to some extent failure.
Neymar's allround game was easily better than Cristiano's at any point in his career; that is not to say that peak Cristiano's allround play was garbage. Neymar was just unlucky with injuries and also made some terrible decisions.

Cristiano's goalscoring ability was easily better than Neymar's at any point in his career; that is not to say they Neymar was a poor finisher.

Goals win you games, the goalscorer always gets the headlines and rightfully so hence Ronaldo's greater stand in the game. But Neymar definitely belongs in the same senyence as Cristiano.

Neymar doesn't have half the impact at the critical moments that Ronaldo does:

I'm not sure how you can compare a 5x Balon D'or winner, 5x CL Winner with a 1X CL Winner.

Now I understand why you think Yamal is a Messi/Maradona level talent.

If I recall correctly, neymar and suarez contributed more over the course of the game than Ronaldo and the stats backed this. They put up good goal numbers too. Neymar and suarez the same level as Ronaldo is a valid argument imo. They are better dribbling and defensively.

If you take away Ronaldo’s Madrid exploits, then you have your Neymar comparison. Ronaldo at United and Neymar at Barca is a fair one. Then you’ve got a Ronaldo career at Madrid that blows pretty much any player out the water. Messi is the only comparable and he (depending on you ask) surpasses him.

Suarez a better dribbler than Ronaldo? That's absolutely delusional.

Suarez was a ricochet merchant with one of the ugliest and most inconsistent dribbling techniques you'll see. For every nutmeg that came off he had many that didn't. His touch was extremely inconsistent too. Even in his short-lived peak.

Prime Ronaldo was a brilliant dribbler. You clearly haven't seen him play in his prime.

Also, Ronaldo's crossing ability with either foot is very underrated. He's a better crosser of the ball than Messi and Neymar too but it's all buried under the "Cristiano was just a poacher" narrative nowadays.

I agree Ronaldo was a great dribbler. His 09/10 season was great for this. I think suarez is better though. If I recall correctly the stats backed this. I'm open to being proven wrong. I don't really care. I concur that Ronaldo is far more than a poacher too.

What are you talking about? Pre injury Ronaldo in Madrid was quite incredible (pre 2014). His overall play was definitely better than Neymar's. Neymar was a slightly better dribbler but Ronaldo was a more complete player than Neymar. He was a better goalscorer, better assist provider and playmaker, better crosser, better passer, better finisher, better in the air, better free kick taker and had better weak foot.
. But Neymar definitely belongs in the same senyence as Cristiano.
No he doesn't.

No, it wasn't.

Huh? Think you need to read my comment again.

You're right. Was intended toward another person- wand of a right foot.

I remember when a lot of people were saying the same about Matty Cash and how he couldn’t fail to be the next biggest thing. He was tearing it up at Dagenham and Redbridge and everyone knew he was destined for the big time.

However he started to believe his own hype and before he knew it he was stuck playing for Nottingham Forest, thinking he was too good for the sport. Now he’s just at Aston Villa and playing for Poland. He needed someone to put an arm around him and bring him down a peg or two. He didn’t get it. How long before Yamal is stuck as Wycombe Wanderers?

Are you seriously comparing Yamal to Matty Cash  ?

:lol::lol: Up there with the worst takes I have ever seen.

Ronaldo from 2008 - 2014 before he only concentrated on goal scoring was one of the best all round forwards ever. Long shots, free kicks, direct dribbling, pace, headers, jumping ability, crossing, finishing, he had nearly everything.

The only thing he didn't have was top top playmaking ala Messi, Maradona, Cruyff.

Ronaldo was the main man at United and Madrid for years as an all round attacker. Neymar went to PSG to be the main man and flopped.

My god, the retroactive underrating of Cristiano Ronaldo is insane.

This is what happens when many have characterized Ronaldo as an otherwise average player who through sheer willpower and extreme self-belief/narcissism artificially dragged himself to all those goals (and nothing else mind you), on the broken backs of Rooney and Benzema. Unlike all the other geniuses of the game who's talents seemed more natural and easy going on the eye. Because it's not about what you do or accomplish. It's about how you look doing it.

When you have a significant amount of people expressing similar sentiments, is it any wonder that Ronaldo's record is consistently underrate?

Stop talking about other players in ways that are completely unrelated to Lamine Yamal
Why do people insist on derailing every thread with the same topic. If you want to talk about Ronaldo, in a way that is completely unrelated to Yamal, either make a thread or pile it on one of the pre-existing C.Ronaldo threads.

And that goes for any player - either in context or relation to Lamine Yamal, in his own thread(!) or not at all.

Can I compare Matty Cash to Yamal in the Matty Cash thread? Assuming there is one. I know how you mods have your agenda and like to discredit Matty Cash at any available opportunity.

I know this is a trick question because Matty Cash has no equal. MC2 GOAT.

I’ll admit that Yamal still has a lot to do to get to his level, but the comparison can be drawn.

https://www.barkinganddagenhampost....ash-dagenham-redbridge-goal-great-win-better/

A lot of the same kind of rhetoric as when Yamal won the European Cup.
Yamal is one of the greatest teenagers of all time and Matty Cash played in Championship? How is that comparable? Who was better at 18 than Yamal in the last 40 years? Maybe R9, Rooney or Owen? Messi and Ronaldo were nowhere near as good at 18 as Yamal.

Yamal is one of the best players itw as well. And comparing him to Sancho or Rashford is equally ridiculous, let alone Matty Cash. Yamal is a generational talent and he could be in the GOAT conversation if he maintains consistency.

You're underrating Matty Cash here. He is a phenomenal player with no weaknesses. Not Yamal level, but very close.

not really

Tell me you've never seen Matty Cash play without telling me you've never seen him play.

I am just going to assume that you are all here trolling for gigs. Otherwise, I must have missed the talent and genius of Matty Cash, since I don't watch a lot of Championship

The fact that you think we are trolling proves how criminally underrated Matty Cash is. Guy's an absolute freak but the mainstream media is against him for some reason.
