Layla Drury

Because she is so young and I only saw her with limited minutes, I still wonder what type of player she is going to be.
I came away from those limited minutes very enthusiastic about her potential. Her size and speed alone make her a threat, and she seemed to me remarkably poised for her age. I'm thinking that she will be a Rolfo-like player, but even taller and faster.

She has the talent and physical attributes to be an absolute beast in a few years. Even now I’m shocked at how comfortable she looks in the first team, with none of the awkwardness you’d expect from such a tall gangly teenager. I hope we’re able to make the most of her potential. Sadly, our record at developing our own talent hasn’t been great so far.

Now, Skinner, give her some.minutes!

Sadly, our record at developing our own talent hasn’t been great so far.
I feel confident that Skinner knows what he has here and isn't stupid enough to squander it. I suspect that, given her age, he will be careful not to ask too much of her too quickly, but he will surely give her enough minutes to show what she's got and work her way into the lineup. I'm very excited about her prospects and agree with @Eric_the_Red99 that she could be "an absolute beast."

Scarlett Hill and Jess Anderson have also signed professional deals. Possibly an indication of our intention to focus more on our youth players. I certainly hope they all get more game time and show what they’re worth. Drury and Anderson in particular could potentially be exactly what we need in the wide areas if they’re developed properly.

Seems she was trusted by Skinner at the end and definitely looked physically ready for the senior football. Looks a good prospect.
