Lee Kang-In

Can someone put some proper spacing in the thread title please, it took me a while to realise his name isn't Kang-In.

Ohh, it actually is Kang-In. Well that's confusing in a transfer forum.

If we ever sign him and choose to sell him the thread will be Lee Kang-In (Out)

Good technical player, but he has zero pace, explosiveness and stamina. For those reasons alone, I'd be against signing him.

The caf would have a field day with him

Mentally he is quite strong. Also getting a bit unfairly treated by Luis Enrique atm as he got benched frequently after games where he shined. He still delivers when getting played. Also two years ago he had big physicality issues but it was impressive to see how he handled that. People said he can't play on the wings or as a CM but he showed he can do both. He's not a player you'd expect 20 goals, but with a CF like Gyokeres or Osimhen, he would shine with assists. He's great at set pieces, too.
I havent looked too closely at all his highlights, but he does look very versatile and his vision and precision of pass / cross looks outstanding.
Could he play as LWB or the playmaking #8?
He also looks to have a bullet of a shot.

I like the idea of the signing. PSG are proving to be a good market and if its a reasonable fee he fits the ‘buy when low’ every one craves for but never want as ‘is he good enough’.

Also I get the banter, but its a bit fecked up for half a 2 page transfer thread to be taking the piss out of an asian name, because heck it isnt what your used to.

He suits the RAM position best

Technical works though. Bernardo silva isn’t exactly rapid. He’s very good technically though.

Bernardo Silva joined a fully functioning team with Sane and Sterling providing explosive pace.

We aren’t a team and we have zero pace out wide.

In my 2 cents I have seen them both play even in person, I would say that Kubo is a more traditional winger/attacking midfielder with flair and attacking outlet - Lee Kang is more similar to Bernardo Silva and I could see Pep using him in the CM even because he has the engine and grit to do a lot dirty work and run for days as Bernardo has done.
Would he pair with Ugarte the centre?

Honestly, no idea. He is pretty small and not strong, but as I see him very similar to Bernardo Silva, Pep has played him a lot in the middle. In our formation maybe not.

Sounds like he's a good fit for one of the 10 roles? Especially if he's comfortable in the middle and drifting wide.

We have a workhorse "creative" player in the Nr 10* slot as Bruno atm. I think he shouldn't be our main target atm. We need creative players in these lots now who would feel themselves comfortable and with the skill set such as Kvara type of players offer. Someone who is comfortable with dribbling and very good at half turns and playing back to the goal.

We have quite short and not that physical squad if you look at our best* starting 11 atm. So when it comes down to the CM slots, we should to look for someone who is very physical also besides the skill sets we require. Ideal would be someone at least 190 cm tall :D

This is someone I wanted here before he went to PSG. I probably made some posts about this, but he really looks great at times and would love to see him at United still.

I havne't seen him enough but from reading a couple posts and seeing highlights is he not this?

How credible is the source? It’s interesting that PSG are going for Kvaratskhelia as his replacement potentially
Ironically,

He is. Basically half 10/half winger. My only question is his physicality. He's not the quickest nor can he run all day like Bruno.

So positionally he's suited to the system which is good. He looks quite technical and capable to carry the ball. Noted on the physical point, probably still not a bad option to have though.

Yes, not bad option. But we are at this stage where we should look for definitely starters in their position - not just not bad option. Compared to Kvara, Kubo or many more that position players, I see him as a level below, more limited.

Doesn't kvara have the same physical issues? He looks physically more lightweight. He's also not really been used centrally no?

He could be an ideal Mount replacement, competing with Amad for the right side 10 spot (with Amad able to play RWB in case Lee starts). Then we could also get rid of Antony. Maybe an interesting target for next summer?

Truth be told he would dream signing for someone to be the #1 replacement player coming from the bench to fill either for the Nr 10 slots - but as a prime starting player for a side who wants to play in Champions League and run for the titles I honestly don't think he is good enough. Just attacking wise his outlet of goals + assists wouldn't be enough. We need someone there who could give us more attacking outlet, consistently.

He's arguably been the best offensive player for PSG in the Champions league this season, I think he's good enough to start for us or develop to that player within a short time. Also, his stats don't include the many times attackers just missed sitters that Lee served them.

Also, it will be hard to get the kind of players you mentioned in our current (sport and financial) situation.

True all, but that's why I wanted to bring it out that PSG is looking into buying Kvara - He would be better than what they have in that position. Which brings us to the point where we shouldn't be happy to take their leftovers, but to secure these signings before they come to PSG radar.

Looking in South America or Africa for talent.

One man’s coal is another man’s gold

Is Matteo Moretto not meant to be Tier 1? Surprised there hasn’t been any other reports

Decent player but plays in the Diallo position and long term wouldn’t be business end upgrade. Just a solid squad addition

Personally it’s a little too early to determine Amad’s long term position, he has shown more promise as a RWB than his current position IMO.

Looks decent but would rather we buy Rodrygo Mora from Porto. David Silva regen who is 17 years.
