Just found out there's a legends game vs Celtic today at 14:00

Robbo is managing and he's just acquired Nani!
Players like Fletcher, Saha, Carrick, Berba are there, but it's disappointing for there to be none of the likes of Scholes, Giggs, Becks, Nev, Keane, Cole, Yorke, Rio, Vida there.

Would be interesting to see how Carrick is going. I suspect he'll look pretty good for his age, has definitely not let himself go.

I am going to the game, should be a good enough day, I imagine Carrick will be the best player on the pitch

Nani looked in great shape last time I saw him play. I expect he'll suit that format tbh.

Carrick - Djembax2 - Fletcher is probably better than our current midfield

Celtic starting XI: Hart, Lustig, Loovens, Ambrose, Mulgrew, Naylor, Ledley, Rogic, McDonald, Vennegoor of Hesselink Subs: Boruc, Johansen, Hinkel, Donnelly, Maloney, Petrov, Samaras

Man United starting XI: Van der Gouw, Simpson, Silvestre, Blackett, Pugh, Djemba Djemba, Carrick, Fletcher, Nani, Berbatov, Saha Subs: Pilkington, Blackmore, Chadwick, Gibson, Campbell, Eagles, Webber

Very loose definition of legends in this case

That being said Carrick, Fletcher, Nani, Berbatov and Saha will be fun to watch. Nani in particular is usually in amazing shape so I'd imagine he will stand out.

Is Celtic vs Man Utd legends on TV and is there a live stream?

The game will not be televised by any UK broadcaster. At the moment, there is no option to stream the game live via Celtic TV or MUTV. We'll update you if that changes.

WTF

Fletcher and Berbatov put us 2 - 0 up. Celtic pulled them back. We lost 4 - 3 on pens, if anyone is interested.

How was my legend RVdG? Good enough to back up Lammens and let Bayandir go as well?

How was Carrick?

Carrick, Berbatov, Nani and Fletcher were the best players on the pitch, watching Carrick in person again was a treat. Could still play at a decent level

Somehow that's what I expected.

One player that definitely couldn't was Saha, he could barely move.
Not surprising. Great player but the number of injuries he had was crazy and it's probably impacting him now.

Missing other SAF-era legends like Kieran Richardson, Richie De Laet, and Giuseppe Rossi! By the way, what's Alan Smith up to these days?

Am I the only one here who finds it bizarre this wasn't on TV?

I was there. We were 2-0 up at HT. Nani’s footwork is still very sharp. Verbatim set one up and scored the other. Fletcher was the best on the pitch. Carrick was raging at the ref after getting dispossessed which lead to the first Celtic goal. Silvestre was racing at him after their second. Blackett and Gibson missed our penalties. Joe hart blasted his way way way wide. Guinness at Celtic park is £6.75 a pint.
