We have top quality forwards but when you are playing against sides with better midfields week in week out it's going to be a struggle and renders them pointless.

Shows you how Ole really feels about his centre backs when Maguire gets rushed back, he looks way way off it and wouldn't surprise me if he costs us the game.

Why do we constantly give them acres of space to play through the middle? They can play in slow motion and still get the ball through to their attacking players.
That’s more the issue than why Harry is playing I think. We are allowing them to play. Bruno seems the the only guy doing pressing.

I could ask you the same question
Nope. All you ever do is posting negative stuff about our manager and most our players apart from a couple who don’t even play well. Oh and your repeated victim line

Oh Harry Harry… Sancho once again passanger. Pogba is just making things gardet then what they are.

Don’t think We are bad but balance is little bit off, shaky Maguire and sloppy passing are why We are not infront.

Best player so far is Bissaka and Matic.

Not a great watch so far.

Midfield is our best combo when in possession, but arguably the worst combo when not.

Awful half and extremely lucky to be level.

Getting battered in midfield, looks so easy for them to pass through our midfield.

AWB has done ok but that aside, very poor from every other player in a red shirt, special mention to Maguire.

Wish we could have last seasons Bruno and Shaw back too.

Why do we keep playing out from the back when we are getting caught ever time? I saw Ole shouting long at a goalkick and the players ignored him and played it out again

If we started Bailly and Maguire was on the bench then everyone would be whinging. He's missed 3 weeks - hardly going to lack sharpness. Bizarre pinning that goal on Ole.
No we wouldn't, it is what was expected. 3 weeks is plenty to lose sharpness. Its not like this thread wasn't full of people predicting this.

The mistake is Maguire's fault, the fact he's on the pitch and we are getting outplayed in every position is yet again on Ole.

When did Bailly talk to the press? I don't remember that at all.
He may not have done so directly, but there were two occasions where it was revealed he was unhappy. I think there were some quotes just before he signed his new deal on the eve of some European game last spring. I forget when. He was moaning about not getting a run of games. So strange he got a new deal when he's not good enough, not fit enough, and Ole clearly does not trust him.

Typical of our season so far. One moment of absolute brilliance, one brain dead mistake at the back, patchy build up play and the midfield is wide open. We can win for sure, Leicester look nervous when we get close to their box, but we need to go up a gear or two.
Absolutely this. Two sides who have good qualities but are nowhere near the level they each should be. Hard to see what we can do to up our game in the 2nd half.... maybe Donny time..

Why are we playing with 4 forwards? Why is Bruno playing so high?

Our midfield is slow. It needs another body in there. Bruno at times is higher than Mason. Wtf.

Give it a rest. We have a better midfield than many teams in the league, and Young boys for that matter, and we still get outplayed.

We keep getting caught out in the full back positions, we progress so slow that the other team get set, and our midfield doesn't cycle the ball.

Do the Ole inners not see this every game and wonder why none of it is fixed?

It's very clearly the fault of the management.

No matter the lineup we can't.
    1. Play well
    2. Control the game
    3. Keep a clean sheet.

    That's on the management
Very Clear. Ole has spent damn near 400 Mill since becoming manager. We still play the exact same as when he took over and we were starting Perreira, Lingard, Mata and the likes. People on here assume spending 80 mill on another CM is the reason why we look outclassed by Aston Villa, Everton and now Leicester. This season we don't have the luxury of a Liverpool injury crisis and Lampard at Chelsea for half the season. We're gonna see this season that finishing above them last season was a fluke and not progress.

Decent half. Would be ahead but for one moment of individual brilliance.

Is that all you can offer? His range of passing, positioning and overall play in this game is better than anything McTominay has mustered this season
Oh yeah, the way they've continually waltzed past him in midfield has been phenomenal. Are you even watching? Genuinely. There's a reason why they keep picking the ball up behind him.

Maguire is a disaster and is being targeted hugely. He is so bad that targeting just amounts to sprint at him in a straight line and he'll do the rest.

    0/10 performance.

Maguire looks awful and not fit. Rushed back for sure.

Pogba looks like his usual self. Total liability yet people will continue to delude themselves.

Ronaldo barely getting ball. Sancho doing nothing.

    It's a real mess.
Sancho has had one or two moments, one drive in particular looked particularly good to me. He's being fed off scraps though, we cannot get this midfield going at all so we're trying to launch it over everyone like we're Big Sam's Bolton.

That goal is just infuriating. I'm fecking sick of conceding comedy goals, if any opponent needs a hand getting back into a game we're always happy to oblige. Dogshit.

This is a different set up with leaving them have the ball, which is OK they can't counter but when we're in possession need to be better with it, breaking down to easy, and errors again Maguire who's not match ready, to slow to ball. Bruno passing is off, Pogba looks OK, but needs someone a bit closer to him at times otherwise he's looks like losing the ball. And unless we get the passing right it's another long half.

There’s just no balance, Pogba has little defensive qualities, and Fred, Matic and Mctominay just about equate to 1 player. If we’re sticking relentlessly with 4231 this season, I’d argue we need 2 new CDMs. One who can go box to box, and one who can sweep up.
Or get a new manager in who plays to the strength of the players he has?

The only first half worse than this, this season was Wolves. I think we've done okay in some of the games, but this has been very bad. I'm glad McFred aren't playing. Our fans always blame them for every bad performance. It doesn't matter who plays there.
