Can see a little bit of rotation, but center backs should stay mainly.
    De Gea
    Dakota Varane Martinez Shaw
    Bruno Casemiro Fred
    Sancho Ronaldo Rashford

Martial, Malacia, Eriksen to come back in vs Arsenal

This feels like a game where we will rotate some for fitness and bring in Maguire which will inevitably be a mistake.

    De Gea
    AWB Maguire Martinez Shaw
    Fred Casemiro
    Bruno
    Elanga Rashford Sancho

I hope Martial, Memphis, Antony will be here.
We need to have signed a couple by then and no I don't count Dubravka either, I am talking first XI players. So leeches give Erik a couple of starters otherwise expect more protests and chanting.

The back 4 is set already..

    I would like to see

    Casemiro fred
    Sancho Donny Rashford
    Martial

usually rashford plays better with someone who holds the ball and interchanges smartly.

The only thing I would worry about is if they get settled from moving on from the Fofana situation, and they are smart enough to drop Vardy and adjust their shape a little, they can still be dangerous. United definitely don’t want to look at their form and play down to competition.

I’m looking forward to what a starting line up with Casemiro might look like

deadline day game and Ronaldo wants out. The bloke won't even be in the squad, let alone the bench or the XI. He'll be working the phones with Mendes like it's a telethon.

    Assuming Martial isn’t fit.

I’d go for the same team but with Casemiro in for McTominay. Plus Antony making his debut from the bench

If Martial is fit this is the best we can do at the minute IMO.

    De Gea
    Dalot Varane Martinez Malacia
    Fred Casemiro
    Eriksen
    Antony Martial Sancho

Very important to get another win and keep the momentum going, especially when we’ve got Arsenal 3 days later. Hopefully Antony’s available and gets some minutes.

We LOVE giving teams a nice confidence boost.

1-0 Leicester Vardy :D The typical player who'll be doing nothing all season until United roll into town.

Has there ever been a game so close to the deadline before? Seems like a massive distraction.

With the Arsenal game 3 days later, a little rotation. (Assuming Martial is still out)...

    De Gea

    Dalot Varane Martinez Malacia

    Casemiro Fred

    VdB

    Bruno Rashford Sancho

Concerned about Varane playing every 3 or 4 days but he may start given that we play on Thursday. I'd probably be tempted to rest him for the arsenal game on Sunday though. Casemiro and Fred should start, and a cameo for martial ahead of the arsenal game where ideally he starts.

Weren't they also on a terrible run last year and then the Harry Maguire disaster show happened?

We really should be winning this, but who knows with us...

Hope for a win, and especially a better performance.

Except the first 20 mins against Brighton, and flew flashes against Pool, we didn't particularly played good football.

Really need to have a good team performance to keep the confidence and cement Ten Hag's style.

Don't forget that we play Arsenal the following Sunday, so I would try to rotate few players.

I think we can afford to start Maguire for this one. Chelsea beat them with 10 so I don't see why we can't.

I looked at Ajax's schedule from last season to see if they had a similair run of games to get an idea of ETH's rotation. This was 3 games in 7 days and 1 was a CL match and they were 4 games into their season.

    1st match CL
Pasveer, Blind, Martinez, Timber, Mazraoui, Alvarez, Gravenbach, Berghuis, Tadic, Antony, Haller

    2nd match
Pasveer, Tagliafico(Blind came on at '60), Martinez, Timber, Mazraoui, Alavrez, Gravenbach, Berghuis, Tadic, Neres, Haller
(Antony was on the bench but wasn't used)

    3rd match
Pasveer, Blind, Martinez, Schuurs, Mazraoui, Alvarez, Gravenbach, Berghuis, Tadic, Antony, Haller
    (Timber was unfit)

    So not much rotating.

Casemiro will start. I think we may see Donny or Fred come in for Eriksen to give Eriksen a rest before Arsenal. I don't see Ronaldo starting vs Arsenal either so he'll start this assuming he's still here.

Their back 5 is really poor. Castagne, Amartey, Evans, Justin with Soyuncu, Vestergaard. We should be really battering them. If we can nullify their attack, it could be an easy outing. Their midfield is quite decent and I believe Casemiro will be the difference here to win those battles in the middle. I would love for us to play Casemiro, Fred and Eriksen with the latter in the no.10 role. Time for Bruno to be benched.

Are people forgetting we have Arsenal literally 72 hours later ?

There will be a few changes.

What's the obsession with Fred? He started the first two games and got hooked at half time on both occasions. If Eriksen doesn't start, we'd more likely see a pivot of Casemiro and McTominay than Casemiro and Fred. I understand the latter play together for Brazil but in the last two games, McTominay has been solid and based on performances, doesn't deserve to be benched.

I agree that we will probably see some rotation with the Arsenal game on Sunday but one area I don’t want to see altered is the CB pairing of Varane & Martinez. Unless it’s enforced due to injury/suspension then keep those two playing together so they continue their early promising partnership. The more they play and continue to gain a good understanding of one another, the better. Other than that, then yes I expect 2-3 (max 4) changes here and there.

This lot played against a toorhless 10 men Chelsea for 80 mins and lost, if we cant beat them then theres no hope for us.

Maddison is their only threat, nullify him and hope someone in the team remembers to bring their shooting boots along.

I really think we will rest players for this one and have full team for Arsenal game

I would not be surprised to see Wan Bissaka, Maguire, Lindelof, Shaw at the back
McFred in the middle with Elanga, VDB, Rashford and Ronaldo

Giving our whole team bar De Gea time to rest and play them if we are not winning at HT.

It so refreshing that we are able to put almost completely different 11 from what we used to watch week in week out last season.

Momentum is important, no need to rest players with the 5 subs rule, not yet anyway.

Rest mctominay for the arsenal game where we'll need his height. Casemiro doesn't speak much English so Fred is likely to be his midfield partner to help with communication. I think there will be quite heaby rotation in midfield this season until we find our fitness and get used to the demands of pressing football.
