When you think we’ve also got Heaven, Fredicson and Kukonki as well as Yoro we’re potentially well stocked at centre back for a decade if we can keep them happy and give them success.

I don’t think it’s overrating him to say Yoro over the past couple of months has really lived up to the hype of best young centre back in the world, having Maguire and De Ligt as experienced players to help him is also invaluable.
Haven`t seen much of Kukonki but i doubt Heaven and Fredricson are close to Yoros level. Hope i am wrong there.

He's a beast.
An upgraded version of Rio.
You what? Better than arguably the best centre back this league has ever had?

Yoro is great and has potential to become an absolute monster. Him in a competent team will be fantastic to watch

Similar movement and confidence to when Ferdinand would do it but he's a 'better footballer' than Rio.

But not a better player, obviously. Though we can dream...

He looks so calm and composed when coming forward. Likes a drop of the shoulder as well.

Almost like he glides across the grass when he runs. Think he’s destined to be a star

He looked like a 35 year old out there (experience wise) while Maguire and Lindelof shit their pants. Great performance very exciting player.

I don’t think Fredicson and Heaven will be as good as Yoro but based on their first team showings so far I think they’ll be very good PL level centre backs whilst Kukonki looks like an absolute beast in the aggressive Vidic mould but bigger, Kukonki is already well over 6ft tall and physically imposing so those four are a insane group of talent to have.

That’s good to hear, a CB in the Vidic mould would be amazing.

He was brilliant generally tonight but in this system his ability to carry the ball forward from deep is especially important. There's a lot of work to do on this squad and on the way Amorim has us set up but he's one player that clearly can be a key part of a much better United side in years to come.

So true. Maguire made several technical errors and Lindelof was bullied at one point. Yoro was just assured. Great talent.

I think within the next year or two Heaven and Kukonki will forced Martinez to go elsewhere or at least move into midfield as injuries permitting they’re both so much better equipped physically to play in the PL than Martinez and both have very high ceilings, I’d be happy for Martinez to move into midfield as he actually offers a lot more on the ball that Ugarte whilst having the same tenacity and steel which would be perfect alongside Bruno.

Yeah I’ve said for a while I’d like to see Martinez in midfield to see how he’d do. His distribution is quality, he’s lack of pace might be a hinderance, but he’s not slow.

I’d like to see Martinez out of the club. He’s not good enough. I like his passion, but he’s weak, he’s short, he has no pace and has serious fitness issues. He would likely be awful in midfield. I see nothing on him to suggest he could do that role effectively. That’s why he ended up as CB.

My man of the match tonight - he's really stepped up in the wake of Martinez's injury. I was worried after Martinez went down, since he was starting to come into his own in Amorim's system with carrying the ball forward with intent and getting involved in the final third (see Liverpool and Fulham), but Yoro has grown into that role with aplomb.

The way he glides around with such a cool head on his shoulders is absolutely incredible. Kudos to whoever got that deal over the line ahead of Madrid last summer!

When he brings the ball into midfield and onto the final third he looks incredible.
Also more importantly he can actually defend.
Fast forward 3 years and he’ll be a superstar.
Friend of mine put a bet in that we would win and he would assist. I called him an idiot. I was wrong.

Our best player tonight, defended well and is showing more and more quality going forward. The improvement he has shown since that Southampton game is huge.

Yoro has been a very good singing. He's incredibly mature for his age and I have no doubt that he's going to be a world class CB in a couple of years. He was very good tonight and he was one of our best players on the pitch.
I can see why Real was chasing him the whole time.

Can't think of many examples of teenage CBs making so many confident marauding runs into the opposition's half. Maturity well beyond his years. That 52m fee will end up looking like a bargain.

Finally we have a player who can carry the ball out of defence with confidence and at speed. I can't remember anyone since Rio being able to do that. Maybe forgetting someone. But we've been crying out for that for years now.

Considering how godawful this season has been, for him to come in and not only look good but positively thrive is hugely encouraging. Stepping up in the big moments too.

You know Martinez is the same height as Roy Keane is right ? There’s a massive difference in being a 5ft 10 midfielder and a 5ft 10 centre back and he is no slower than Casemiro or Ugarte whilst being better on the ball and is most certainly not weak, yes the fitness concerns are definitely there for sure though.

Really really good... But he is young and will make mistakes and not yet be at peak physical power. The Caf needs to be patient if/when he has a bad patch

His best performance so far and he’s still got more levels to hit, exciting player
