Expecting big things from him. By far and away our best player in the cup final, which he fought to be fit for and gave everything. Just hope he stays injury free.

Hit some nice long diagonals to Dorgu against Leeds, but also his side was the one giving up chances, though that might have been more of Dalot's fault, wasn't locked in enough to say firmly.

Quiet thread, thought his passing looking really sharp yesterday. As someone messaged above his diagonals were on point, but even his short range passing and carrying the ball were good to see.

We’ve got a special on here

His diagonal ball for Bruno was quality. Still not fully convinced by him defensively but he is really something with the ball at his feet.

He's phenomenal. The pressure is on for us to get good again as soon as possible or we'll lose him to a better club in a couple of years.

We all know he is good on the ball but two things that stood out for me was his high interceptions and late runs into the box when they were sitting deep.

The manager has consistently stated the need for his centre backs to be sharp on the turning attacker and I saw improvement from both him and Heaven in this regard.

Also he times those runs into the opposition area well to provide overloads and support the attack. Developing very nicely.

Thought Lemmy was a bit crap against Bournemouth, or at best, not nearly as good as usual. Errant passing and lost the ball several times. I trust this won’t be normal. Has been fantastic since being embarrassed by I can’t remember who last year.

Bournemouth were clearly targeting him as the trigger for the press and as usual we reacted late and had no options for him to pass into midfield. It's a systematic issue and Amorim needs to recognise this.

Yeah, that would make sense that oppo sides would do that. We seemed to have mostly shored up the midfield from teams running right through it, but we still suffer from foolish give aways and crap passing that result in having to defend transitions that are quickly rammed down our throat. Bruno and Casemiro, and especially Garnacho are prone to this, and it would make sense that sides would target our defenders bringing the ball out from the back. I think Amorim will want to do the same thing using Cunha and Mbuemo.

Yeah it's quite worrying Amorim hasn't done anything to address this. It's not just that as most teams know that if they let us play out from the back by allowing the first pass, a lot of the time we are clueless to in progressing it. We basically box ourselves in, which is such a cheap way of giving the opposition an opportunity to press us. Yoro was booting it long pretty much every other ball.

Did well today. Bailed the team out of a couple of tough spots.

We have a real gem here. He is so calm, composed for his age and yet aggressive when needed.

A good passer for a defender, as well.

One signing in last few seasons, barring serious injuries, looks nailed on to succeed here.

Really hope we find a midfield version of him.

Class player , I think he’d be talked about more if he was playing for a top 4 team. Or in a solid back 4 type formation which isn’t going to be happening here unfortunately

Sesko may the the attacking version of him. Next year we go for baleba.

Don't want to jinx it but he has world class potential. If he improves his heading a little bit, and with more experience, he can get there.

Him, De Ligt and Heaven have most things covered as a partnership playing either in a 2 or 3.

This would be my back 3 but we usually go for experience rather than being progressive

How did United find him!? who was behind the transfer.

It feels like the transfer team won the lottery that day.

Have a bad feeling we need to enjoy him while he's happy here, sadly. We'll see. Looks nailed on to be a top-level defender.

His growth in all areas has been really good.

I thought he was unbelievable against Everton, the kid could be immense. Hard not to get excited, so will cross my fingers that his progress continues. His strength and conditioning has come on leaps and bounds.
