Thought he looked nervy in the opening minutes and Everton was clearly marking him for any mistakes. Settled into it well after the initial pressure and rewarded with a well fought clean sheet.
I thought he did fine minus his slip-up for one of their 45 cornersGood defender but no confidence in him on the ball. I guess he could get away with it alongside Martinez, but when we're trying to play out from the back he is a vulnerability.
Did he get booked for being thrown into the net?![]()
No
Fair analysis, agree with that.Thought he looked nervy in the opening minutes and Everton was clearly marking him for any mistakes. Settled into it well after the initial pressure and rewarded with a well fought clean sheet.
No, Maguire got booked for him being thrown into the net.Did he get booked for being thrown into the net?![]()
I’ve got bigger concerns with the experienced players in the team doing that more than Yoro to be honest. He settled as the game went on but he really needs to work on his passing, balls going astray and straight to opposition players are a common occurrence. Just a kid though so plenty on time to work on that.
I think part of it was the shitty water logged pitch, a lot of players looked bad on the ball on both teams. He's usually not as bad on the ball as he was last night. Hopefully just a thing of being rusty.
or stresses about off the field troubles...He's usually not as bad on the ball as he was last night. Hopefully just a thing of being rusty.
Manchester United defender Leny Yoro has been banned from driving for six months after being caught speeding at 72mph in a 30mph zone in Withington, Manchester.
The 20-year-old’s £170,000 Porsche Cayenne GTS was recorded travelling at nearly two-and-a-half times the speed limit on Mauldeth Road West — a stretch lined with homes, a secondary school and a sports club.
Yoro pleaded guilty at Crewe Magistrates’ Court and was fined £666, ordered to pay £120 in costs and a £266 victim surcharge.
His legal representatives issued an apology on his behalf, stating he had been rushing a friend to the railway station and believed the road was clear at the time. Despite not reaching the 12-point threshold for an automatic ban, the court imposed a disqualification due to the high speed involved.
Yoro joined Manchester United in July 2024 for a reported £52.2m fee and has made 23 appearances this season.
What an apt punishment.Yoro pleaded guilty at Crewe Magistrates’ Court and was fined £666,
Seemed a bit down on confidence a while back, so good for him to be part of a clean sheet and generally playing well. Still only 20 years old. Will be good for him next season, when he hopefully gets to play a lot more football.
I agree with this assessment, but, I feel he can improve, because he isn't awkward with the ball, do not know to describe it, maybe nervous? he is young and he can be a good ball playing CB i feelGood defender but no confidence in him on the ball. I guess he could get away with it alongside Martinez, but when we're trying to play out from the back he is a vulnerability.
Devilish, some would say666

He isn't poor on the ball, but he isn't good either. He's competent. Right now he's down on confidence what makes him look worse, he's not misplacing passes but playing them in wrong tempo, in behind, or picking wrong choice.I agree with this assessment, but, I feel he can improve, because he isn't awkward with the ball, do not know to describe it, maybe nervous? he is young and he can be a good ball playing CB i feel
Was it just me that felt it looked like Dalot was offering him no support at all when Yoro was on the ball? Yoro did look nervy at times so I’m not completely absolving him but I remember a few times watching Yoro struggle because Dalot was in the midfield somewhere or further up the pitch than Amad.
Almost all CBs are. But his height was helpful yesterday. He is a good prospect but we overpaid.Big downgrade from licha on the ball, panicking and was the weak link when building from the back. Hope he can develop this part of his game
