Thought he looked nervy in the opening minutes and Everton was clearly marking him for any mistakes. Settled into it well after the initial pressure and rewarded with a well fought clean sheet.

Good defender but no confidence in him on the ball. I guess he could get away with it alongside Martinez, but when we're trying to play out from the back he is a vulnerability.
I thought he did fine minus his slip-up for one of their 45 corners

Bar a couple of nervy moments, I thought he was really good. Read the game well, reacted well to dangers, kept to his attacker and used his athleticism to his advantage.

Did well once he settled. Makes some important blocks and has another well earned clean sheet.

Everton set traps to push the ball his side and he was very uncomfortable with it. Doesn’t have that line breaking forward pass in his arsenal yet. He defended well and credit to him for that as that was a horrible PL test, but I am a bit disappointed in him on the ball in general, given the talk about his potential.

He settled as the game went on but he really needs to work on his passing, balls going astray and straight to opposition players are a common occurrence. Just a kid though so plenty on time to work on that.

His passing is poor, always seem like he's panicked and you can sort of tell teams are using him as a pressing trigger. Look at the pressure he gets put under, and how the opposition team immediately step compared to when Maguire was receiving the ball.

Was solid defensively though, and something to build on after his great cameo against West Ham.

I’ve got bigger concerns with the experienced players in the team doing that more than Yoro to be honest.

He’s young so will look uncomfortable at times but young defenders need to play and learn from these mistakes. He’ll be very good in a couple of years.

Yoro made sure we didn't miss Martinez vs Everton. Those were huge boots to fill (figuratively speaking!) but he rose to the challenge in a physically demanding game. Now that we have returned to Yoro's favoured back 4, I am confident he will emerge as a future star. He is still very young but he already has many of the necessary tools in his armour: composure, pace and an understated physicality.

Looked more like a defender since he’s been played in a back 4. He was one of the main players who had no clue of where to be in a back 3 and kept getting pulled all over the pitch.

His introduction at West Ham and his game today shows he has the defensive ability to withstand those physical away grounds.

We just need to bide our time with him. He’s a gem but it will take time.

He's usually not as bad on the ball as he was last night. Hopefully just a thing of being rusty.

Seemed a bit down on confidence a while back, so good for him to be part of a clean sheet and generally playing well. Still only 20 years old. Will be good for him next season, when he hopefully gets to play a lot more football.

or stresses about off the field troubles...

Manchester United defender Leny Yoro has been banned from driving for six months after being caught speeding at 72mph in a 30mph zone in Withington, Manchester.

The 20-year-old’s £170,000 Porsche Cayenne GTS was recorded travelling at nearly two-and-a-half times the speed limit on Mauldeth Road West — a stretch lined with homes, a secondary school and a sports club.

Yoro pleaded guilty at Crewe Magistrates’ Court and was fined £666, ordered to pay £120 in costs and a £266 victim surcharge.

His legal representatives issued an apology on his behalf, stating he had been rushing a friend to the railway station and believed the road was clear at the time. Despite not reaching the 12-point threshold for an automatic ban, the court imposed a disqualification due to the high speed involved.

Yoro joined Manchester United in July 2024 for a reported £52.2m fee and has made 23 appearances this season.

He had one bad performance and got called out for it, and he let that affect his form. I've no issue with him bringing the ball out he's normally very good at it, but after the said performance he's looked really nervous and not wanting to do anything other than pass back or no more than 10 yards. Those two tackles at West Ham really made a difference, yesterday he was no worse than anyone else on the pitch giving the ball away frequently. He brought the ball out a bit less than he has done, but confidence back and he'll be fine. He's young and young defenders make mistakes, he and Heaven will should be our centre backs for years to come if they keep developing as they have done over the past 2 years.

He has potential thats for sure. A bit weak at times and a bit raw but i think he can become a really good defender for us

I agree with this assessment, but, I feel he can improve, because he isn't awkward with the ball, do not know to describe it, maybe nervous? he is young and he can be a good ball playing CB i feel

Was it just me that felt it looked like Dalot was offering him no support at all when Yoro was on the ball? Yoro did look nervy at times so I’m not completely absolving him but I remember a few times watching Yoro struggle because Dalot was in the midfield somewhere or further up the pitch than Amad.

Big downgrade from licha on the ball, panicking and was the weak link when building from the back. Hope he can develop this part of his game

Was fine,

Watching games with the matchday thread these days is rough though. United fans have become so hysterical and every action that’s not perfect gets pounced on

He isn't poor on the ball, but he isn't good either. He's competent. Right now he's down on confidence what makes him look worse, he's not misplacing passes but playing them in wrong tempo, in behind, or picking wrong choice.

Wasn’t as bad as some people think. Helped us get a clean sheet. His recovery pace is very useful in certain games where there’s fast attackers

Yeah there was a couple of times Dalot was inverted into midfield and wasn't there for an easy pass. Might be tactical as Dalot has been almost holding Maguire's hand the previous 5 games and against West Ham, Shaw was really poor as an outlet, so perhaps the intention was for Dalot to venture more forward.

Almost all CBs are. But his height was helpful yesterday. He is a good prospect but we overpaid.

Having a real rough second season, eh

Not great in the first half. He was fine in the second half, but Palace were down to ten.

There was a moment near the end, where he bypassed their press with a nice pass to Mainoo. I wish he would do more of that.

Tough times for him but these young CBs need to live through their mistakes unfortunately. Will stand him and Heaven, who’s made some himself, in good stead in year or two.

When we have more games next season he’ll hopefully get into more of rhythm.

Needs to work on his aerial defence. Watch the ball, keep a hand on your opponent and challenge. Fine apart from that.

Awful for the goal. Needs time out of the team but injuries preventing that. Aerially he’s pretty weak.

Really poor on the goal and his ball progression is non-existent. Should be behind Heaven in the pecking order at the moment.

Not ready for this level. Not physically strong enough, still needs to show if he's good enough overall.
