Yoro 3rd Kit ordered today, best signing in years glad to see him get a reward for getting on the end of some of the corners; he had been surprisingly good at that in pre-season - hopefully he can butter up Baleba for us too.
 
I hope Yoro’s performance and development doesn’t stagnate at United. We are specialists in turning promise into turd.
 
See this mad stat someone posted? Yoros been here 13 months and has never started in a win against another Premier League side.
 
Yoro has been called up for the Euro U21 2027 qualifiers with France U21.

Looks a level at least above most of the others, shouldn slowly be getting called up for the main NT if they are smart.

I dont know if he's a level above Jacquet or Mawissa. It'll be between those 3 for the 2 starting positions, Mawissa being the only left footed.
And while he's close to be ready for the main NT, the problem is CB's our most stacked position. I'm confident he'll be an important player for our NT in the future but I'm not sure when he's going to get a chance because the CBs in place are all pretty young still.

Sure, but in terms for future and present I could imagine a Saliba - Yoro partnership would be best. Not saying Yoro is per se better than Konate or Upamecano, but has more potential than them I'd say, whilst already having a very high level. Kounde would be a RB option together with Clauss (who's aging). Rate Pavard highly but he's also 29, would be more interesting to invest in the future I'd say.

A bit similar with Timber and the Dutch NT, we are stacked there but players like Timber are the future and he already has a very high level now.

His future in the NT depends on the future national manager, because Deschamps is probably not going to call him up until the World Cup since there are already 5 or 6 CBs who have been called consistently and we know he's very loyal to his players, sometimes to a fault.

Yea it's a similar situation you're having in the dutch NT, but we can't really complain, it's a problem of riches that a lot of nations would love to have.
 
Still gets caught a bit too square on 1-vs-1s and I'll need to look at the first goal again but I thought he was a bit slow to react to the attacker. He has these moments of ball watching and being on his heels.

I'm glad he's not making big mistakes and getting media criticism but there are lots of little things that he needs to pick up on. Of course for a 19 year old, his trajectory and performance is very promising.
 
I'll get crucified for this but I think we shoud try him in the Ugarte position (nr.6). He;s good enough
 
Classy player that I'm sure alot of clubs will have their eyes on. I pray he gets no more injuries.
 
He's the sort of player we should pursue, obvious talent there for everyone to see but before they have their breakout season.

Obviously easier said than done.

That defence is already playing the destroyer role for the team right now in midfield.
 
Got our French Varane, hopefully less injuries, so he develops into a truly WC player, signs are good though.

I think he and De Ligt would actually complement each other well in a back four. Has the potential to be one of the best cb partnerships in the premier, if our manager was willing to play that way.

He was really bad for their second goal. Allowing Doku to roll him there was criminal, left Shaw with an impossible choice of either getting a red + penalty or letting Haaland score. Him getting subbed off minutes after that showed the manager's opinion of his
performance. Yoro is young and already very good but I'd class this alongside some of his equally terrible games like that infamous one again Sulemana.
 
He’s done remarkably well for such a young age.
Not much older than Heaven, but with a lot more experience in a position that’s normally occupied by much older and more experienced players.
Leny can be given the odd, off day.

He was very bad letting Doku roll him so easily. Worse still was letting Doku roll onto his stronger right side. At least block Doku on his right side so that if he's going to roll you, he's on his weaker side and is at a wider angle from the goal.

He's still a hell of a lot further on in his progress than anyone expected, hopefully he'll learn from experiences like this and come back stronger.

He seems to struggle against these types of players, Sulemana ran him ragged too. I think he just lacks the physicality need to bully a player like that right now, but he'll get there.

This is what I said a few weeks ago but I've noticed it for a while now. Doesn't look as natural defending on the right as on the left and doesn't look natural as a wide CB also.

He's still young but this development can't be good for him. Although I'd say that about the rest of the team under this shite manager.

Sums it up. De Ligt not covered himself in glory either but it’s almost as if the system isn’t working or summat. Yoro will be fine.

I thought yesterday was one of his worst games in Utd shirt. But that’s really just testament to the fact that he’s kept his performances at such a high level for a teenager, new to the PL, playing centre-back in this dysfunctional Utd team. It would be unfair to read annything into it.
I’d say he’s got at least 3 more get-out-of-jail-free cards before his place is in jeopardy. Utd need to be building their defence round him for the next decade, even if he has the occasional dodgy game at the start.

Yeah he was pretty shaky when he came on, didn't track the runner he was marking and didn't even challenge for the header I don't think.

There's huge potential there, but he's had a really poor start to the season, has looked poor in almost every game he's played so far.

Remember, he’s just a young kid, a teenager, playing in a position usually occupied by older and more experienced players.
Came on cold against Chelsea today, but why?
Was Maguire struggling or carrying a knock; or was this another one of Amorim’s bizarre defensive substitutions, that immediately lead to a defence error?

His physicality or lack of it had nothing to do with the goal today, he had no awareness of what was around, he's a young player and this is what happens, he looks to have a great future but today wasn't good
 
Poor for the goal. He's had a rapid development, there aren't many teenagers starting as regular centre halves in the Premier league, but he's gone off the boil lately and could probably do with a spell out of the team.

Don't know why Amorim keeps making subs in Central defence when there's no injury and no obvious reason for it. You don't even see that at schoolboy level, it's the one area you don't want to mess around with mid game! Yet he does it all the time!
 
I'm not sure why him coming on as a sub has anything to do with basic awareness. He got caught ball watching, other than that he was really good. Like most young defenders, needs to improve his concentration.
 
Once again there's mistake on his positioning, awareness, and man-marking.
I think there's very long way to prove his worth in transfer price, and even maybe it's double price we paid.
His man-marking and aerial duel are also my concern. Last match, he poorly marked Doku and caused one of goals.
This match, he missed the header and caused team conceded a goal. Actually, he also poorly marked Joao Pedro once in the penalty area.
