Let's all laugh at PSG

Dortmund were better, very well-coached... really good European Club football. They didn't look like they were going to lose.

PSG will be a better club, better team without the so-called superstars. They have talent, a terrific, global brand, and should just attract and develop good, hungry, young players from across Paris and the wider regions. Good, very good, young players will want to join PSG.

In it's most basic form, when a reply on social media get's more likes than the original post. if you type "ratio" on a post on twitter or instagram and you get more likes than the original post then you won the ratio. If they said ratio and got more likes then you lose.
Basically the laziest and most lame comeback possible.

Unless idiots have usurped the meaning, it's when you get more comments than likes or reposts on a post which usually means what you posted was a bad take, as everyone is disagreeing with it.

They've spent nearly what City have and they're a bang average side. This is how United would look if we had no domestic competition.

Tbf 400 million of that went on neymar and mbappe who aren’t there anymore. But yeah they’re middle of the road, I’d fancy us to get a result against them

You know how the thing people used to say was "Well they'll win a Champions League eventually"...?

I genuinely don't think they ever will. Ever.

I know what you mean but PSG are top of their league meanwhile we couldn't beat Twente.

Hopefully there's an extensive thread on a PSG forum somewhere crywanking about how they never should have sold Ugarte.

God knows we'd have one.

Leaving Dembele at home not looking so smart now, given he’s their only killer attacker.

Enrique is one of the biggest managerial myths. Just a better looking, more charismatic Louis van Gaal.

One of the things that gives me the most pleasure out of football these days is seeing oil clubs fail.

Imagine if Pep took the PSG project instead of City, and City were the ones flailing about instead. Is it too late for PSG and Macron to make a pitch to Pep? Offer him unlimited funds for Catalonian independence

I wouldn't be at all surprised if he went to PSG if/when City get penalized. He'll want another job where he can gain a massive unfair advantage over everyone else in the league.

So after years of star attackers and good defenders let down by a midfield of witch doctors praying to keep Verratti's body healthy (and usually failing), they now have good defenders and a great midfield and are let down by lack of star attackers

They've never really seemed to get the balance right. They go further and further away from winning the UCL each season.

What even is their attack. Looks woeful

Something to be said about how Luis Enrique left the Spanish NT with no titles, was replaced by a guy nobody had ever heard of, and this guy has proceeded to win every title they put in front of him.

Meaningless trophies. Nothing of note in Europe
They've been to a final, might well win one one day, have become ultra dominant on the domestic stage. It's the same for City, with the added bonus of a European trophy.

My point was just, in response to the initial post, that oil money does in fact, most of the time, lead to trophies.

I must say I'm a fan of this "great for Italy, shite for PSG" version of Dollarumma

This current team is a far cry from that team now though.

Oil money doesn't lead to trophies most of the time. Being in a one team farmers league or having Pep Guardiola leads to trophies.

Regarding your first point... It doesn't really matter, does it? It was an "oil money" team, which was the point of that poster.

As for your second point - City only got Pep because of the oil money, and PSG's hegemonic domestic domination is only due to their owners.

I'm not quite sure what is controversial here, to be honest.

I think it’ll be interesting to watch them evolve with the new focus on younger players, the home leg will be a great match I think. Enrique is a phenomenal coach in my opinion.

They have a very good midfield, which is a good start.

There won't be a home leg. You only meet your opponents once in this new league phase. PSG will play Atletico and City at home, though, and Bayern away.

I do agree on Enrique, though. They should retain him for a few years, providing he wants to stay there.

They've been hoarding some great young talents into their squad, like Doué, Barcola, and Neves, but they've made a good number of mistakes as well in recent years, which means their squad is still some years off of being built into a serious CL contender IMO: getting Donnarumma instead of a technical goalkeeper, especially when Maignan was right there, or overpaying for Ramos and especially Kolo Muani.

Forgot about the new format - but yeah agree on GK, never got the Donnarumma hype.
