Their Mancini days they were absolutely packed with talent, they were called the united nations.

Zanetti, Maicon, Veron, Adriano, Ibrahimovic, Crespo, Figo, Stankovic, Vieira, Samuel, Cesar.. All in good age.

They should have won a CL in those years looking back.

Saw a few sites reporting that Nainggolan is out of his plans as well.
Yeah the club and him have confirmed that Nainggolan is out. I don’t know where he could end up if in China or back to Roma...
Even Perisic should be sold.... he’s not useful as wing back

I really don’t know how this market will end, especially about selling all these troubled cases like Icardi, Nainggolan and now Perisic....

Conte has wiped out Icardi, Niangollan and now Perisic it seems. It's not like they can buy shit loads of players this summer either. Looks like a mess already.

They were in with finalists Spurs and Barca last year and it took a big meltdown for them to get knocked out.

Will depend on the draw of course but I‘d expect them to make it out of the groups this time.

Conte won the Premier League with Moses and Alonso as fullbacks... Inter will be better next season and they’re moving in the right direction. Too much being made out of an early preseason game here.

On today’s showing, they were nothing other than a bunch of brutes. Just shocking to watch.

Was thinking to myself, Juve must have it so easy in Serie A if this is supposed to be the competition.

Yep. Nainggolan is known to be more interested to dance and drink all nights than to work hard during training sessions. This way of life has began to damage his efficiency on the pitch since two or three years, and relations with management and fans, too. The problem is to find someone interested to buy him now. It will be very difficult for Inter to cash enough money from this player, as for Icardi.

It's not like Inter were full strength. Just last season they beat Spurs in the CL (albeit failed to get out the group).

Perisic played today though?

Too early to judge them, it's only 20 July..

Inter began the preseason 7 days after M.United, arrived in Asia the day before yesterday and today played without 6/7 starters: Diego Godin, Lazaro, Barella, Vecino, Asamoah, Lautaro Martinez + a proper ST (Dzeko/Lukaku?).
Upfront Conte has been forced to play a guy born in 2002 and another one who, in first division, scored 4 goals in 90 matches played: one of the worst stat I've ever seen from a professional striker.

It was an embarassing performance of course but Serie A starts in 35 days, 2 weeks after the PL. Nothing to worry about.

Their squad is not that good and they look like they'll struggle for goals if they couldn't replace Icardi. They'll still probably challenge for 4th but I don't what miraculous things Conts is going to pull out with this team.

Even before those days they were still packed with International superstars like Peruzzi,Blanc,Simone (who they stupidly sold off to Lazio),Baggio,Veiri,Zamorano and ofcourse Ronaldo.

They need one more if Conte wants to play 3-5-2.
Think the attack will be Lautaro,Dzeko,Lukaku,Politano (even though if he's adapted as second striker)

The Ronaldo days are not even close to the 2004-2010 days.. Ronaldo was basically by himself there.

No,but the squad was still littered with good talent. This Inter Milan team pales in-comparison with not only Mancini's title winning sides but also the inconsistent yet expansive team in the Ronaldo era.

Got plenty of CBs but their full back options look very mediocre, D'Ambrosio?! Will need to strengthen a bit there aswell as getting in Icardi replacement.

They should challenge Napoli a bit more though if they can sort those positions.

I thought their defence looked good and Dalbert looked competent as a wingback.

They are ridiculous

Spending two months on Lukaku, 50 days asking Lukaku on a free loan

Juve signed rabiot, De Ligt, ramsey; they are looking for Lukaku making offers 30 million lower the asking price...

The league shouldn’t start, juve already won again

Conte will leave before 15/08, when he will see he can’t make the 352 with the player he has

No way Conte's leaving. For one, he's not leaving that fat contract on the table, and for another, who the feck's touching him again if he does? He'd basically be telling all potential suitors that unless he gets everything exactly the way he wants it he walks(unless they pay him not to, like chelsea). Who the feck's going anywhere near that

The way they dealt with icardi and radja though has been really fecking weird and amateurish. And if you can make it about principles and ethics with Icardi, that's not really the case with Radja...

PS juventus already won the league in july 2018, let's not pretend otherwise

Nainggolan is moving to Cagliari on loan, what a fecked up deal for Inter. They paid 24 million + Zaniolo to sign him and now he is going on loan to Cagliari.

That's Spalletti for you. Such an overrated coach. He's 60 years old and hasn't won much in his career to justify the hype (some cups with Roma and Zenith).

The key for Inter this season is Conte. He will drive them to top four again. Whatever anyone thinks of his football, he is a damn good manager, at least for two seasons. He has been a winner in the Italian league for a number of seasons. And as problematic as the squad is, it is still good enough to make top four in Serie A. The big deal will of course, still remain how far they go in the CL.

You missed Santon (the only good part of the deal for us).
I hope Conte could get a top replacement like Rakitic to complete the midfield with Brozovic, Sensi, Barella, Vecino, Gagliardini.

Yeah that's the only good thing in this deal for Inter, getting rid of Santon.

Impressed with how Sensi started, hopefully he will play many games this season.

Finally this infinite market is over and we can finally focus on football. These are the in's/out's made by Marotta/Conte:

Lukaku - Icardi
Sanchez (loan) - Keita (loan back)
Sensi - Perisic
Barella - Nainggolan
Godin (free agent) - Miranda (free agent)
Lazaro - Vrsalijko/Cedric (loan back)
Biraghi (loan) - Dalbert (loan)

Something is still missing in the squad (a central midfielder and probably a replacement for Lukaku on the bench) but they did a great work for me.

Been solid in the two games. Easy win v Lecce but a hard fought win in Sardina which racism aside can be a tough venue for teams to win at.

Can already feel the Conte influence, that would've been a 1-1 game for them last year.

With Juve shooting 90 + points with their eyes closed going to be very difficult for them to challenge for the league. Target needs to be 2nd, when did they last finish over Napoli?

I just don't see enough creativity in this team in the 2 games I've watched and not even good enough crosses from the full backs. It'll be a great season for them if they manage to finish above Napoli.
