At this point, surely there are very few worse options out there than the 2 blunderers ETH has saddled us with

We are in deep deep trouble if we dont sign a gk, why can the powers that be not see this?

Id sack the lot of them at this point its very worrying

It just seems like complete negligence and making it impossible for whoever is in charge to build a successful team and it really doesn't make any sense. If the people in charge can't see how so far below the standard Onana and Bayindir are and how much they handicap any manager when building a team we are in serious feckin trouble.

We are signing a keeper. Lemmens deal should hopefully be completed before the window shuts

Sign Lammens now and put Robin Roefs on the shortlist for next summer when Sunderland get relegated.

Looks like we’ve prioritised getting results in the here and now and decided to go with what we think is a safer pair of hands in Martinez who is an experienced PL keeper.

I know he acts like a right tit at times, but at least hes likely to be more reliable than our current 2, and can actually do things GK are supposed to...

Yes please. I'm only annoyed it wasn't done before the season started as it's already cost us points and a cup exit.

Why does it feel like this GK situation will seesaw today. Know Whitwell said we could sign both IF Onana/Bayindir went but wouldn't benefit Lammens being a number two

I get the impression that our recruitment team are probably quite split on who to sign, you will have Wilcox maybe pushing for experience in Martinez, on the other hand Vivell will talk about Lammens being a great long term prospect like we had with DDG.

Will admit I keep flip flopping myself between experience and personality v younger long term potential.

Maybe the plan is either

2026

Martinez and Vitek
Lammens and experienced older GK

Which would people prefer?

Martinez is the guy that was banned after 3 trophy groin celebrations, slapping a camera and was also mocking opponents, is he mentally all there?

Lammens deal agreed. 18.1 million. Player travelling to Manchester to sign a five year deal - BBC report.
