Did I miss something? Cucurella is good now?
Yeah, I think he's been quite highly rated for a few years now.Did I miss something? Cucurella is good now?
It’s in his nature to be a whining, diving little cnut. It’s the main reason opposition fans hate him.He wants to go to Barcelona. I doubt there is any truth in it. He is also very, very good versatile player. He just needs to cut the Ashley Young antics.
He's very good, think he struggled when he first joined Chelsea but he's been impressive for both club and country the past two years I'd say.Did I miss something? Cucurella is good now?

Exactly. If players are good enough they will come through, if not, well hopefully they have a good career elsewhere. Are our young left backs so promising we should be basing squad building decisions around them?
I'd be quite happy to ignore them for now personally. Sign Hall and if Amass or Leon or whoever else I'm forgetting were to end up the level required then we decide what to do about that issue when it presents, rather than try to pre-empt it.

Fair enough. I thought he was seen as a bit of a clown tbh, I remember we nearly took him on loan instead of Reguilon and most people were underwhelmedHe's been very good for a very long time
He has come on. Didn’t we nearly get him on a loan when we got Regelion, but the costs were too high? He's very good, think he struggled when he first joined Chelsea but he's been impressive for both club and country the past two years I'd say.
I had pretty much the exact same reaction to you maybe a year ago when I first saw him being linked to Barca. He was very much a joke for a while.Fair enough. I thought he was seen as a bit of a clown tbh, I remember we nearly took him on loan instead of Reguilon and most people were underwhelmed

Thats correct, everyone was losing their mind.Fair enough. I thought he was seen as a bit of a clown tbh, I remember we nearly took him on loan instead of Reguilon and most people were underwhelmed
So is Bruno. And Lisandro Martinez. Except for United fans. We love them.Thats correct, everyone was losing their mind.
I would still have mixed feelings, extremely unlikeable player
Amass is out of contract next summer so he’s running out of time to impressExactly. If players are good enough they will come through, if not, well hopefully they have a good career elsewhere.
We cannot long term decisions based on half a season at Sheff Wed.
Hall is exactly the right profile of player we should be looking at. If Amass or anyone else gets in ahead of him in a couple of years - great. Nothing wrong g with competition, it’s what we haven’t had across the squad for far too long.
would be a great signing.Oh yeah would give us defensive housery, depends how much they want for him. Like @noelyman said we tried to sign him on loan few years ago. Could well be a smokescreen to lower price for this guy though.Excellent player. And a sh!thousewould be a great signing.

That's how I see it. We're not talking about Messi level talents here. Are our young left backs so promising we should be basing squad building decisions around them?

Indeed. Definitely seems like LB is a specific area we are looking at, but between a perhaps lower punt amount for Cucurella or big money on Hall. I wouldn't be disappointed with either!Oh yeah would give us defensive housery, depends how much they want for him. Like @noelyman said we tried to sign him on loan few years ago. I can't see there being much difference in values. The reporting that Cucurella is available for €40m-€50m (or £35m-£43m) seems low. I don't get why Chelsea sell one of the highest rated LB's in world, who is still only 27 to a PL rival for that amount. This goes double as they paid £55m plus add ons for him. Imo, no one gets him for less than what Chelsea paid. At that point he is just £5m-£10m cheaper than Hall but will likely demand higher wages.Indeed. If they sell Tonali, with the ridiculous fee they got for Gordon, they won't need to sell anyone they'd prefer to keep. Be better United go in for him now and test the waters. Then would still need Hall to push for the move. It’s clear Hall is our top target as all the respected United journo's are saying the same thing and all saying £50-£60 million, if we got the same longevity out of Hall as we technically have with Shaw then it’s money well spent.
To be honest, I think that was illustrative of fans' tendencies to make overly-rash judgments more than anything else.Fair enough. I thought he was seen as a bit of a clown tbh, I remember we nearly took him on loan instead of Reguilon and most people were underwhelmed
Yeah Tonali going would scupper any hopesIf they sell Tonali, with the ridiculous fee they got for Gordon, they won't need to sell anyone they'd prefer to keep. Be better United go in for him now and test the waters. Then would still need Hall to push for the move.
Yeah that should be our cutoff price, maybe we need to press ahead on this as maybe it takes Tonali off the table for Arsenal or dare I say City50 - 60 mil is the highest we should go, there are plenty of promising LB outside of EPL at better prices and we have Dorgu as LW and LB backup. I think we can afford to take an educated slight risk in this department.
Unless this hints at Hall formalising a request to leave, this isnt anything new
From a journo who knows nothing unfortunatelySome positive noise.
Yeah shame it's not Ty Marshall or Nathan SaltFrom a journo who knows nothing unfortunately
I gave a neutral post mateWhy the negative spin, that was a fun life affirming tweet and then you’re all Skeletor about it.
