The people who think they don't need him just to win Ligue 1 either haven't been watching or have an agenda imo.
What are you even talking about? Of course they don't need Neymar for Ligue 1.....he hasn't even been healthy for a full season if you combine for the first two years.

Can't believe Barca threw 100m at Griezmann when that would have gone such a long way towards signing Neymar.
Neymar shutting up a lot of people yet again. Imagine there are people who think the likes of Hazard and Bale are better than this guy :houllier::lol:

Needs to show up when it matters to remind people what he's really capable of. Out of sight, out of mind but you can't deny his incredible talent and ability. I hope he manages to stay healthy in the knock out stages of the CL.

Neymar is annoying as feck but what a genious. He's verry underrated in GB because of his out of pitch behaviour (or his world cup rolls) but damn, he's such an amazing player.

The guy has 11 goals and 5 assists in 13 CL games in the 2 years he's been at PSG. He was also their best player in the away leg against Madrid two years ago before he got injured. Yes it's unfortunate he's picked up big injuries in both seasons but that doesn't take away from the fact that he can and has consistently performed at the biggest stages through his career.

100m wasn't enought to sign Neymar, PSG wanted more than 250m, and they didn't want players in the exchange.

I meant that the 100m they spent on Griezmann, they could have saved that and instead used it as part of the fund to pay for Neymar. They were anyway offering close to 100m+ other players after having signed Griezmann. If they'd not made that signing, that 100m could have been used to get the Neymar bid up to 200m all cash.

It's easy to see why PSG didn't want players when Barca valued Rakitic at 75m and Todibo at 25m in their offer and the players weren't what they needed.

Who cares? It's about what he's doing these past 2-3 years. This is why he's not mentioned much in the best player debates lately or people try to claim Mbappe has surpassed him already (he hasn't), not only is he showing up for games that don't matter whether it's Ligue 1 or CL group stage games, but he's consistently been hurt for the big games. So, it doesn't take away from what he's done in the past, but it does take away from his legacy because he has essentially lost the last two years to add to that legacy through unfortunate injuries.

Yeah he's lost a big chunk of the last two years but he's also performed every time he's been fit, whether it's the League or the CL. I'm not even comparing him to Ronaldo and Messi in the last two years precisely due to his injuries but he's still a level above everyone else.

Lyon lose 1-0, another 1-0 win for Nantes, they go top. Problems for Lyon though. The overall quality in Ligue 1 this season has been shocking.

OM lose 3-1 at Amiens, Lucas Perrin getting absolutely rinsed for the last goal. Missed opportunity for them, 5 points off PSG.

Vilas Boas not going to last long there.

Benedetto seems to be doing well though, thought he was shocking in the brief run he had for Argentina a year ago.

How has Sarabia been for PSG? He was pretty good for Sevilla.

I’ve found him average so far, although there are moments where he has shown his class, it hasn’t been consistent. He’s doing pretty well this game though with a goal and an assist. He just needs some time and I think he will begin to string together positive performances on a consistent basis. You can tell he is an intelligent and skilled player..

To be fair to Marseille, I think they at least show basic competence on the football field.
They have improved under Villas Boas. Rongier, alvaro and benedetto all look good signings, however their squad is too thin to compete.

Rudi Garcia called up Cherki for Lyon's game tomorrow.
A decade after he took over Lille and had Hazard in this team.
That seems fitting.
