Where did Neymar say he’d love to play with Messi again? Wasn’t the whole point of him going to PSG was that he was tired of being in Messi’s shadow at Barca?

No, going to PSG was because of money. His father was the puppet master who received a big lump of cash because of his move to PSG..

I know that obviously there was the money aspect but I remember that the talk of the town around that time (especially on the caf) was that he wanted to be the main superstar

3 past their best. Nobody wants them for chunky fees
Indeed. Given the state of the club I don't think any player is categorically not for sale though. At the right price they'd probably sell anyone, that's how desperate they are. Whether a player like De Jong wants to come is another matter, I guess.

Could he not have went for one year, given Barca a chance to try and get their shit together with a view to heading back next summer.

Like PSG still would've taken him realistically.

He's been coyly talking up the idea of a reunion for 2 years now and there were even rumors of him wanting to return to Barca for that reason at one point.

He just posted this too

Watching their old comps in preparation for his arrival

Barcelona are in serious trouble and what's more crazy, PSG benefited due to FFP being suspended last season and more crazy, after this season, Neymar and Mbappe transfer fees are off the books, meaning next season they will even have loads more money to play with.

Also, PSG's main guy is even possibly going to be taking over and in charge of the FFP rules going forward, meaning they could end up being amended which will benefit them even more.

What's the French equivalent of El Classico/Super sunday etc? PSG vs Monaco/Lille/Marseilles/Lyon?
Le Classique which is P$G vs Marseille (historically the biggest club in France) but OM haven't really been relevant in years

Sounds underwhelming. So we pretty much have to wait until the latter stages of the CL to see what this team's truly capable of.

Barcelona need to cut another €130m before they can even register any of their new signings. How could they offer Messi anything other than playing for free?

PSG will be an easy life for Messi, can coast through 80% of games and will get paid loads. If he actually wants a challenge he should look elsewhere though.
Winning the CL with PSG is challenge. If he would have gone to City, who won the Premier league months in advance, would it be any more challenging? It's all about the Champion's League because those are the only two teams that could realistically afford him and they're both the teams that desperately want to win it.
