i would like to see him play with another CB with pace so they could play higher. up and down debut.
Maguire was comfortably our best defender todayWhat fecking game we’re you lot watching? He was our best defender.
It is when you are basing it off one game when he has played plenty against big physical centre forwardsIt's not knee jerk when it's quite clear he isn't going be able to cope with big physical centre forwards.
He's small, he's not quick and he's not strong.
We will concede a lot with him at centre back.
Come on man, it’s his first game.Sorry, but this guy is not going to make it in PL. Not just for us, for any PL team. He will be targeted and destroyed.
Waste of money, and for a position we didn't really need players. One of the worst transfers ever for us.
No he wasn'tWhat fecking game we’re you lot watching? He was our best defender.
Maguire had a decent second half. Martinez was without doubt our most assured defender.Maguire was comfortably our best defender today
Martinez had a difficult afternoon
I wouldn't go that far but I don't think he was bad at all. What fecking game we’re you lot watching? He was our best defender.
Please tell me you aren’t being serious.Sorry, but this guy is not going to make it in PL. Not just for us, for any PL team. He will be targeted and destroyed.

Did you see the first goal?Maguire was comfortably our best defender today
Maguire failed to hold the offside trap and let his man score. feck off with thatMaguire was comfortably our best defender today

Yes, and the opposition did not target him. If he plays again they will target him and he will not be able to cope, it is obvious. Unfortunately for him, in the PL size matters.Come on man, it’s his first game.
Yep, Caf is gonna Caf.Well, I guess Martinez has been written off then. One game and done.
Just curious. Who are these tall strikers that he is going to struggle against? Most teams play a 4-3-3 or variation of it and if they have a big #9 Maguire can pick him up. Where he will struggle for his lack of height is on set plays when big defenders come forward, not during regular game play...Very good today with what he could do. However, as I have been saying I am not sure he will be good enough against top strikers here. His lack of height and strength due to his size will be exploited and it will be too much stress for him and the whole team.
Well, considering we need players badly in other positions, and we gave away 50 million for a DC that it is obvious he is not PL material, yes, I think it was one of the worst transfers ever. I hope I am wrong. Do you think he will make it at PL? Not for us, any PL team? Please tell me you aren’t being serious.
So he was, but also because Maguire had sagged behind and played him onside. So it goes both ways. That said I think he could have done a bit better on the ball coming across, it was him covering the right side and so would have to use his right foot to block it so perhaps not his most comfortable situation but if we're looking at him to be a top CB then yeah you can question letting that ball come across. Something our other CBs have allowed too easily at times as wellHe was late to react to Welbeck's run on the first goal but good on the ball. I'm sure he will learn from that mistake...
Not against Premier League quality centre forwards. It is when you are basing it off one game when he has played plenty against big physical centre forwards
Maguire couldn’t even hold the feckin line.Maguire was comfortably our best defender today
