They already looked shaky in the beginning of the season when their first choice keeper was out. They can't be this lucky with injuries forever, and all it takes is some dodgy pasta, that's all I'm saying.
Spurs fans will remember that lasagna.

It’s quite funny how all of the deluded United fans on here think that they are going to stop Liverpool, you have won 2 games on the bounce and all of a sudden you think that you are good enough to stop the red machine. It will be back to business as usual when you will struggle to overcome the likes of Everton and Newcastle, we had this for years raising our game against the big boys and playing s**t against the lesser teams. The only good thing about United winning the last 2 games is that it keeps Ole at the wheel and that you will miss out on Poch!
Who ended your 17 game winning streak just a few weeks ago? Even with our struggles this year, we are more than a match for Liverpool. It's tougher for United against the Everton's and Newcastle's than against Liverpool.

There's no chance Liverpool will slip up again. Twice they've been in the advantage over recent years and squandered a clear points differential. The odds of them doing it a third time are remote. It's their title now.

Word curse.
You would think not.

But if anyone an conspire to blow the title to their ex manager that turned into a caricature while with them. It's Liverpool.

They have City away just before you at home.
Even the fixture list is conspiring against your rivals - it's certainly fallen together like a dream this year.
Why would 100 be out of reach? You will break it easily. I think you will get around 105.
I got my maths wrong. It's not a possible 99 available, it's 97. I forgot to deduct the 2 dropped to your lot

If we win the next 17 (including City to make it 50 unbeaten) we will be on 97 pts from 33 matches. 46 +51 =97. I initially counted 33 wins but it would be 32 and a draw. It's possible but highly unlikely, as I said, I'm worried about dropping points at Leicester for starters, fixture congestion, injuries and Spurs away will be a problem. But the Centurion title seems to mean a lot to the folk at Bluemoon and it would be gravy to take that away from them. But I think the Invincibles is a much bigger prize

I reckon they will lose once in December after the Club World Cup due to exhausted & hangover winning it. They'll play against Leicester away right after the Club World Cup comp end, good timing.

No they are not but they are going to be Champions and making it number 19 is much more of our concern then some shitty undefeated run record

Wont happen, Rodgers will do them over at their place. Also expect them to struggle playing us straight after Jose and Spurs.

If your premise is that we raise our games against better teams and fail against weaker teams, why would you then go on to call those who think we could stop "the red machine" deluded, unless you're thick?

My question is rhetorical.

I would happily take us losing the next two and then winning the rest of the games this season. I find fascination with unbeaten runs strange. Winning runs I get. Do you really think Man City fans would trade their 100 point season for an invincible 90 point season?
Agreed. To be honest even points totals don't interest. It's about trophies. It's about doubles and trebles. It's about entertainment. Last minute goals. Enjoying football. Unbeaten runs and such random records have never interested me.

Unbeaten runs aren’t the definitive feature of a great side but it’s an indicator of superiority and dominance over a sustained period which can give context to a side’s success. That said, Liverpool won the Champions League after losing a few matches and the only thing people really remember (unless you’re a point scoring whopper on the internet) is who won the big shiny thing at the end.

More important is that they don't win the CL this season. That's my rival team priority for the season now

I can't see it happening.

However the one Arsenal record they could break is scoring in every league match of a season. That surprisingly has only been done once in the PL.

Who cares about that? They are closing in on bigger and better records. If we don't get our arse into gear soon they will blitz our championship record.

Then we'll blitz theirs. It's how our relationship works.

We'll beat them at the Emirates...The unbeaten season is all we have to remember from better times, not giving it up without a fight :)

I couldn't give a flying feck about breaking records right now. A lot can happen in this upcoming period until the new year, never mind over a stretch of 16 games. All I want now is to safely navigate the Salzburg game, which will be a huge test.

Exactly, so mathematically, they can still get 112 points.

The poster we were replying to seemed to think they couldn't reach 100.
I think they meant by the time the away game at City happens?

Is this post for real? Currently we have Matip and Fabhino out with longer term injuries. We’ve had Allison our nearly 3 months. Salah out a few weeks too, not to mention niggles to Robertson, Henderson, Firminho etc. We can’t even rest Trent properly as Clyne is out for the year. We aren’t devoid of injuries.

The second choice keeper hasn't dropped a point...

Who was the keeper against us? Someone dropped 2 pts... anyway, we just have to observe from the side line. No need to speculate.

Alisson, and IRRC it was his first game back after injury.

You could beat Pool at home if you're in top form, but City away would be hard to see. Although we just did it, so who knows!

Maybe City need to recognise the magnitude of the situation and go for the cups ;)
I thought ok good this weekend we playing Saturday 3pm again, guess when Liverpool play?

Saturday 12.30pm, this seems more than coincidence.
