Sevilla has already defined the sale price of Agoumé

August 19, 2025 by Ob Editorial
He Manchester United he has set his eyes on Lucien Agoume23-year-old French midfielder Sevilla FC, as a goal for him transfer market summer 2025. The English club, after ruling out higher-cost options in the Premier League, considers the Sevilla player a more realistic and promising alternative. Old Trafford's sports management wants to reinforce its core with a young, physical profile and international experience, and the Frenchman fits that plan.

Agoumé: Long contract with Sevilla FC

Agoumé has a contract with Sevilla until 2028 and it has a termination clause set at 40 million euros. The Andalusian club places its starting price around 30 million, a figure much lower than that of other footballers of his rank in Europe. Furthermore, the Inter Milan maintains a 10% on a future sale, although this summer Sevilla already disbursed 4 million euros to get a Additional 40% of your rights, further consolidating the commitment to French.

A market opportunity for Manchester United

The market value of the midfielder makes him an attractive option for United heading into the summer. If the operation progresses, Sevilla could close a strategic sale with a significant capital gain, while Agoumé would take a leap in his career towards one of the most competitive leagues in the world.

Baleba replacement or partner to Baleba? What kind of midfielder is he?

At those price points should allow for him and a keeper, no?

But I don’t know a thing about him/if he’s any good

On paper he looks very impressive to be fair

Have seen literally nothing of him, but have seen his name come up a lot in those "alternative targets United should sign" type posts online.

Has been my first choice after Baleba. Not seen much of him beyond his all touch highlights and the impressive stats. I would hope he’s the Ugarte replacement with Baleba being the Casemiro replacement

Seems a good player from what ive seen.

Improved really well last year. Isnt that mobile type player aka Baleba though.

Stats look good, and that price is point is where we need to be working at to address 2 or 3 positons without the added pressure of a massive money move on the players shoulders. Allows them to come in and be a squad player if that's where they land up, for ~30m thats fine.

Tesco Baleba? Is he a better option than Ben Stiller? If we can get them for around £25-35 million each, maybe we go with both? We need two new CMs anyway, and at that cost the risk that one turns out bad isn't too big given they are on sensible wages. At least not compared to the big money we've wasted on dross in recent years.

Haha, common theme: “I know nassink about heem!” +1 for me.

I pray we get this right and the scouting team earn some coin with a gem few saw coming.

He is from Cameroon, but had played for France at all youth levels.

Not capped yet at senior…..biggest worry - Afcon….can still play for his birth country…..

A signing like this at that price point would be great business. Let’s get it done asap

Who, the actor ?

Any reliable sources or is this just another clickbait frenzy to excite the muppets?

He's even slower than Ugarte.
I prefer Lamine Camara.

Really promising that the club are targeting the right profile of footballers. I can’t lie, he looks like a really good fit for what we’re looking for. Maybe a year too early for him, but he’s super talented and exactly the type of player we should be considering.

Funnily enough, I think we were tracking him at Sochaux. Wouldn't be surpised if we knew about him when we got Kambwala. Seems like a reasonable price, hope it's someone we're looking at.

I think for a player who will play alongside Bruno he is the better option. In terms wjat we have missed in mid since scholes and carrick it looks like stiller. On paper Stiller and Agoume look like a good midfield pairing. Probably a good midfield three with Bruno, if we played a midfield three.

People saying his slow. He never looked slow from the highlights I’ve watched . Just looks more to me like he doesn’t do much running because his team hardly defend transitions. I could be wrong though

What's the difference between forward passes and progressive passes?

Also without knowing anything about him or how Sevilla plays these days he doesn't seem to have a high passing volume or completion rate. I thought we would be interested in someone who's a bit more involved.

Probably dependant on sales I'd imagine.
He seems more like the option when we can't rely on sales. I think all of our sales are now going to go down to the wire as the players or clubs are going to try and squeeze us. I think it's wise to not be reliant on sales and still invest. We can then prepare for Baleba in Jan or the summer.
